Psalm 137:6 לְשׁוֹנִ֨י׀ May my tongue lə·šō·w·nî תִּדְבַּ֥ק־ cling tiḏ·baq- לְחִכִּי֮ to the roof of my mouth lə·ḥik·kî אִם־ if ’im- לֹ֪א I do not lō אֶ֫זְכְּרֵ֥כִי remember you , ’ez·kə·rê·ḵî אִם־ if ’im- לֹ֣א I do not lō אַ֭עֲלֶה exalt ’a·‘ă·leh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְרוּשָׁלִַ֑ם Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim עַ֝֗ל as ‘al רֹ֣אשׁ my greatest rōš שִׂמְחָתִֽי׃ joy ! śim·ḥā·ṯî Psalm 137:7 זְכֹ֤ר Remember , zə·ḵōr יְהוָ֨ה׀ O YHWH , Yah·weh לִבְנֵ֬י the sons liḇ·nê אֱד֗וֹם of Edom ’ĕ·ḏō·wm אֵת֮ - ’êṯ י֤וֹם on the day yō·wm יְֽרוּשָׁ֫לִָ֥ם Jerusalem [fell] : yə·rū·šā·lim עָ֤רוּ׀ “ Destroy it , ” ‘ā·rū הָ֭אֹ֣מְרִים they said , hā·’ō·mə·rîm עָ֑רוּ “ tear it down ‘ā·rū עַ֝֗ד to ‘aḏ הַיְס֥וֹד its foundations hay·sō·wḏ בָּֽהּ׃ ! ” bāh Psalm 137:8 בַּת־ O Daughter baṯ- בָּבֶ֗ל of Babylon , bā·ḇel הַשְּׁד֫וּדָ֥ה doomed to destruction , haš·šə·ḏū·ḏāh אַשְׁרֵ֥י blessed ’aš·rê שֶׁיְשַׁלֶּם־ is he who repays šey·šal·lem- לָ֑ךְ you lāḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- גְּ֝מוּלֵ֗ךְ as gə·mū·lêḵ שֶׁגָּמַ֥לְתְּ you have done šeg·gā·malt לָֽנוּ׃ to us . lā·nū Psalm 137:9 אַשְׁרֵ֤י׀ Blessed is ’aš·rê שֶׁיֹּאחֵ֓ז he who seizes še·yō·ḥêz עֹ֝לָלַ֗יִךְ your infants ‘ō·lā·la·yiḵ וְנִפֵּ֬ץ and dashes wə·nip·pêṣ אֶֽת־ them ’eṯ- אֶל־ against ’el- הַסָּֽלַע׃ the rocks . has·sā·la‘ Psalm 138:1 לְדָוִ֨ד׀ Of David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ אוֹדְךָ֥ I give You thanks ’ō·wḏ·ḵā בְכָל־ with all ḇə·ḵāl- לִבִּ֑י my heart ; lib·bî נֶ֖גֶד before ne·ḡeḏ אֱלֹהִ֣ים the gods ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֲזַמְּרֶֽךָּ׃ I sing Your praises . ’ă·zam·mə·re·kā Psalm 138:2 אֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֨ה I bow down ’eš·ta·ḥă·weh אֶל־ toward ’el- קָדְשְׁךָ֡ Your holy qāḏ·šə·ḵā הֵיכַ֪ל temple hê·ḵal וְא֘וֹדֶ֤ה and give thanks wə·’ō·w·ḏeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמֶ֗ךָ to Your name šə·me·ḵā עַל־ for ‘al- חַסְדְּךָ֥ Your loving devotion ḥas·də·ḵā וְעַל־ and wə·‘al- אֲמִתֶּ֑ךָ Your faithfulness ; ’ă·mit·te·ḵā כִּֽי־ You kî- הִגְדַּ֥לְתָּ have exalted hiḡ·dal·tā שִׁ֝מְךָ֗ Your name mə·ḵā אִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃ and Your word ’im·rā·ṯe·ḵā עַל־ above ‘al- כָּל־ all else . kā·lō·ši- Psalm 138:3 בְּי֣וֹם On the day bə·yō·wm קָ֭רָֽאתִי I called , qā·rā·ṯî וַֽתַּעֲנֵ֑נִי You answered me ; wat·ta·‘ă·nê·nî תַּרְהִבֵ֖נִי You emboldened me tar·hi·ḇê·nî עֹֽז׃ [and] strengthened ‘ōz בְנַפְשִׁ֣י my soul . ḇə·nap̄·šî Psalm 138:4 כָּל־ All kāl- מַלְכֵי־ the kings mal·ḵê- אָ֑רֶץ of the earth ’ā·reṣ יוֹד֣וּךָ will give You thanks , yō·w·ḏū·ḵā
