יְ֭הוָה When YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּשׁ֣וּב restored bə·šūḇ שִׁיבַ֣ת the captives šî·ḇaṯ צִיּ֑וֹן of Zion , ṣî·yō·wn הָ֝יִ֗ינוּ we were hā·yî·nū כְּחֹלְמִֽים׃ like dreamers . kə·ḥō·lə·mîm Psalm 126:2 אָ֤ז Then ’āz פִּינוּ֮ our mouths pî·nū יִמָּלֵ֪א were filled yim·mā·lê שְׂח֡וֹק with laughter , śə·ḥō·wq וּלְשׁוֹנֵ֪נוּ our tongues ū·lə·šō·w·nê·nū רִ֫נָּ֥ה with shouts of joy . rin·nāh אָ֭ז Then ’āz יֹאמְר֣וּ it was said yō·mə·rū בַגּוֹיִ֑ם among the nations , ḇag·gō·w·yim יְ֝הוָ֗ה “ YHWH Yah·weh לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת has done la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הִגְדִּ֥יל great hiḡ·dîl עִם־ things for ‘im- אֵֽלֶּה׃ them . ” ’êl·leh Psalm 126:3 יְ֭הוָה YHWH Yah·weh לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת has done la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הִגְדִּ֣יל great hiḡ·dîl עִמָּ֗נוּ things for us ; ‘im·mā·nū הָיִ֥ינוּ we are hā·yî·nū שְׂמֵחִֽים׃ filled with joy . śə·mê·ḥîm Psalm 126:4 שׁוּבָ֣ה Restore šū·ḇāh שְׁבוּתֵנוּ our captives , šə·ḇū·ṯē·nū יְ֭הוָה O YHWH , Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כַּאֲפִיקִ֥ים like streams ka·’ă·p̄î·qîm בַּנֶּֽגֶב׃ in the Negev . ban·ne·ḡeḇ Psalm 126:5 הַזֹּרְעִ֥ים Those who sow haz·zō·rə·‘îm בְּדִמְעָ֗ה in tears bə·ḏim·‘āh יִקְצֹֽרוּ׃ will reap yiq·ṣō·rū בְּרִנָּ֥ה with shouts of joy . bə·rin·nāh Psalm 126:6 הָ֘ל֤וֹךְ He who goes out hā·lō·wḵ יֵלֵ֨ךְ׀ . . . yê·lêḵ וּבָכֹה֮ weeping , ū·ḇā·ḵōh נֹשֵׂ֪א bearing nō·śê מֶֽשֶׁךְ־ a trail me·šeḵ- הַ֫זָּ֥רַע of seed , haz·zā·ra‘ בֹּֽ֬א־ will surely return bō- יָב֥וֹא . . . yā·ḇō·w בְרִנָּ֑ה with shouts of joy , ḇə·rin·nāh נֹ֝שֵׂ֗א carrying nō·śê אֲלֻמֹּתָֽיו׃ sheaves [of grain] . ’ă·lum·mō·ṯāw Psalm 127:1 שִׁ֥יר A song šîr הַֽמַּֽעֲל֗וֹת of ascents . ham·ma·‘ă·lō·wṯ לִשְׁלֹ֫מֹ֥ה Of Solomon . liš·lō·mōh אִם־ Unless ’im- לֹא־ . . . lō- יְהוָ֤ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh יִבְנֶ֬ה builds yiḇ·neh בַ֗יִת the house , ḇa·yiṯ בוֹנָ֣יו its builders ḇō·w·nāw עָמְל֣וּ labor ‘ā·mə·lū בּ֑וֹ in bōw שָׁ֤וְא׀ vain ; šāw אִם־ unless ’im- לֹֽא־ . . . lō- יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh יִשְׁמָר־ protects yiš·mār- עִ֝֗יר the city , ‘îr שׁוֹמֵֽר׃ its watchmen šō·w·mêr שָׁקַ֬ד stand guard šā·qaḏ שָׁ֤וְא׀ in vain . šāw Psalm 127:2 שָׁ֤וְא In vain šāw לָכֶ֨ם׀ you lā·ḵem ק֡וּם rise qūm מַשְׁכִּ֪ימֵי early maš·kî·mê שֶׁ֗בֶת and stay up še·ḇeṯ מְאַֽחֲרֵי־ late , mə·’a·ḥă·rê- הָעֲצָבִ֑ים toiling hā·‘ă·ṣā·ḇîm לֶ֣חֶם for bread le·ḥem אֹ֭כְלֵי to eat — ’ō·ḵə·lê כֵּ֤ן for kên יִתֵּ֖ן He gives yit·tên
