נַפְשֵׁ֑נוּ . . . . nap̄·šê·nū Psalm 124:6 בָּר֥וּךְ Blessed bā·rūḵ יְהוָ֑ה [be] YHWH , Yah·weh שֶׁלֹּ֥א who has not šel·lō נְתָנָ֥נוּ given us nə·ṯā·nā·nū טֶ֝֗רֶף as prey ṭe·rep̄ לְשִׁנֵּיהֶֽם׃ to their teeth . lə·šin·nê·hem Psalm 124:7 נַפְשֵׁ֗נוּ We nap̄·šê·nū נִמְלְטָה֮ have escaped nim·lə·ṭāh כְּצִפּ֥וֹר like a bird kə·ṣip·pō·wr מִפַּ֪ח from the snare mip·paḥ י֫וֹקְשִׁ֥ים of the fowler ; yō·wq·šîm הַפַּ֥ח the net hap·paḥ נִשְׁבָּ֗ר is torn , niš·bār וַאֲנַ֥חְנוּ and we wa·’ă·naḥ·nū נִמְלָֽטְנוּ׃ have slipped away . nim·lā·ṭə·nū Psalm 124:8 עֶ֭זְרֵנוּ Our help ‘ez·rê·nū בְּשֵׁ֣ם is in the name bə·šêm יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה the Maker ‘ō·śêh שָׁמַ֥יִם of heaven šā·ma·yim וָאָֽרֶץ׃ and earth . wā·’ā·reṣ Psalm 125:1 שִׁ֗יר A song šîr הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת of ascents . ham·ma·‘ă·lō·wṯ הַבֹּטְחִ֥ים Those who trust hab·bō·ṭə·ḥîm בַּיהוָ֑ה in YHWH Yah·weh כְּֽהַר־ are like Mount kə·har- צִיּ֥וֹן Zion . ṣî·yō·wn לֹא־ It cannot lō- יִ֝מּ֗וֹט be moved ; yim·mō·wṭ יֵשֵֽׁב׃ it abides yê·šêḇ לְעוֹלָ֥ם forever . lə·‘ō·w·lām Psalm 125:2 הָרִים֮ As the mountains hā·rîm סָבִ֪יב surround sā·ḇîḇ לָ֥הּ lāh יְֽרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim וַ֭יהוָה so YHWH Yah·weh סָבִ֣יב surrounds sā·ḇîḇ לְעַמּ֑וֹ His people , lə·‘am·mōw מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה both now mê·‘at·tāh וְעַד־ and forevermore wə·‘aḏ- עוֹלָֽם׃ . . . . ‘ō·w·lām Psalm 125:3 כִּ֤י For kî שֵׁ֤בֶט the scepter šê·ḇeṭ הָרֶ֗שַׁע of the wicked hā·re·ša‘ לֹ֪א will not lō יָנ֡וּחַ rest yā·nū·aḥ עַל֮ upon ‘al גּוֹרַ֪ל the land allotted gō·w·ral הַֽצַּדִּ֫יקִ֥ים to the righteous , haṣ·ṣad·dî·qîm לְמַ֡עַן so that lə·ma·‘an הַצַּדִּיקִ֨ים the righteous haṣ·ṣad·dî·qîm לֹא־ will not lō- יִשְׁלְח֖וּ put forth yiš·lə·ḥū יְדֵיהֶֽם׃ their hands yə·ḏê·hem בְּעַוְלָ֬תָה to injustice . bə·‘aw·lā·ṯāh Psalm 125:4 הֵיטִ֣יבָה Do good , hê·ṭî·ḇāh יְ֭הוָה O YHWH , Yah·weh לַטּוֹבִ֑ים to [those who are] good , laṭ·ṭō·w·ḇîm וְ֝לִֽישָׁרִ֗ים and to the upright wə·lî·šā·rîm בְּלִבּוֹתָֽם׃ in heart . bə·lib·bō·w·ṯām Psalm 125:5 וְהַמַּטִּ֤ים But those who turn wə·ham·maṭ·ṭîm עַֽקַלְקַלּוֹתָ֗ם to crooked ways ‘a·qal·qal·lō·w·ṯām יְ֭הוָה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ . . . ’eṯ- יוֹלִיכֵ֣ם will banish yō·w·lî·ḵêm פֹּעֲלֵ֣י with the evildoers pō·‘ă·lê הָאָ֑וֶן . . . . hā·’ā·wen שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם Peace lō·wm עַל־ be upon ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Psalm 126:1 שִׁ֗יר A song šîr הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת of ascents . ham·ma·‘ă·lō·wṯ
