Psalm 121:8 יְֽהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh יִשְׁמָר־ will watch over yiš·mār- וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ your coming ū·ḇō·w·’e·ḵā צֵאתְךָ֥ and going , ṣê·ṯə·ḵā מֵֽ֝עַתָּ֗ה both now mê·‘at·tāh וְעַד־ and forevermore wə·‘aḏ- עוֹלָֽם׃ . . . . ‘ō·w·lām Psalm 122:1 שִׁ֥יר A song šîr הַֽמַּעֲל֗וֹת of ascents . ham·ma·‘ă·lō·wṯ לְדָ֫וִ֥ד Of David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ שָׂ֭מַחְתִּי I was glad maḥ·tî בְּאֹמְרִ֣ים when they said bə·’ō·mə·rîm לִ֑י to me , lî נֵלֵֽךְ׃ “ Let us go nê·lêḵ בֵּ֖ית to the house bêṯ יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH . ” Yah·weh Psalm 122:2 רַגְלֵ֑ינוּ Our feet raḡ·lê·nū עֹ֭מְדוֹת are standing ‘ō·mə·ḏō·wṯ הָי֣וּ . . . hā·yū בִּ֝שְׁעָרַ֗יִךְ in your gates , biš·‘ā·ra·yiḵ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ O Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Psalm 122:3 יְרוּשָׁלִַ֥ם Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim הַבְּנוּיָ֑ה is built up hab·bə·nū·yāh כְּ֝עִ֗יר as a city kə·‘îr שֶׁחֻבְּרָה־ united še·ḥub·bə·rāh- לָּ֥הּ lāh יַחְדָּֽו׃ together , yaḥ·dāw Psalm 122:4 שֶׁשָּׁ֨ם where šeš·šām שְׁבָטִ֡ים the tribes šə·ḇā·ṭîm עָל֪וּ go up , ‘ā·lū שִׁבְטֵי־ the tribes šiḇ·ṭê- יָ֭הּ of YHWH , yāh עֵד֣וּת as a testimony ‘ê·ḏūṯ לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל for Israel , lə·yiś·rā·’êl לְ֝הֹד֗וֹת to give thanks lə·hō·ḏō·wṯ לְשֵׁ֣ם to the name lə·šêm יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh Psalm 122:5 כִּ֤י For kî שָׁ֨מָּה׀ there šām·māh כִסְא֣וֹת the thrones ḵis·’ō·wṯ לְמִשְׁפָּ֑ט of judgment lə·miš·pāṭ יָשְׁב֣וּ stand , yā·šə·ḇū כִּ֝סְא֗וֹת the thrones kis·’ō·wṯ לְבֵ֣ית of the house lə·ḇêṯ דָּוִֽיד׃ of David . dā·wîḏ Psalm 122:6 שַׁ֭אֲלוּ Pray ’ă·lū שְׁל֣וֹם for the peace šə·lō·wm יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם of Jerusalem : yə·rū·šā·lim אֹהֲבָֽיִךְ׃ “ May those who love you ’ō·hă·ḇā·yiḵ יִ֝שְׁלָ֗יוּ prosper . yiš·lā·yū Psalm 122:7 יְהִֽי־ May there be yə·hî- שָׁל֥וֹם peace šā·lō·wm בְּחֵילֵ֑ךְ within your walls , bə·ḥê·lêḵ שַׁ֝לְוָ֗ה [and] prosperity lə·wāh בְּאַרְמְנוֹתָֽיִךְ׃ inside your fortresses . ” bə·’ar·mə·nō·w·ṯā·yiḵ Psalm 122:8 לְ֭מַעַן For the sake lə·ma·‘an אַחַ֣י of my brothers ’a·ḥay וְרֵעָ֑י and friends , wə·rê·‘āy אֲדַבְּרָה־ I will say , ’ă·ḏab·bə·rāh- נָּ֖א . . . nā שָׁל֣וֹם “ Peace šā·lō·wm בָּֽךְ׃ [be] within you . ” bāḵ Psalm 122:9 לְ֭מַעַן For the sake lə·ma·‘an בֵּית־ of the house bêṯ- יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū אֲבַקְשָׁ֖ה I will seek ’ă·ḇaq·šāh ט֣וֹב your prosperity ṭō·wḇ לָֽךְ׃ . lāḵ
