Psalm 109:1 לַ֭מְנַצֵּחַ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ מִזְמ֑וֹר A Psalm miz·mō·wr לְדָוִ֣ד of David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ אֱלֹהֵ֥י O God ’ĕ·lō·hê תְ֝הִלָּתִ֗י of my praise , ṯə·hil·lā·ṯî אַֽל־ be not ’al- תֶּחֱרַֽשׁ׃ silent . te·ḥĕ·raš Psalm 109:2 כִּ֤י For kî רָשָׁ֡ע wicked rā·šā‘ וּֽפִי־ . . . ū·p̄î- מִ֭רְמָה and deceitful mir·māh פִ֪י mouths p̄î פָּתָ֑חוּ open pā·ṯā·ḥū עָלַ֣י against me ; ‘ā·lay דִּבְּר֥וּ they speak dib·bə·rū אִ֝תִּ֗י against me ’it·tî שָֽׁקֶר׃ with lying šā·qer לְשׁ֣וֹן tongues . lə·šō·wn Psalm 109:3 סְבָב֑וּנִי They surround me sə·ḇā·ḇū·nî שִׂנְאָ֣ה with hateful śin·’āh וְדִבְרֵ֣י words wə·ḏiḇ·rê וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֥וּנִי and attack me way·yil·lā·ḥă·mū·nî חִנָּֽם׃ without cause . ḥin·nām Psalm 109:4 תַּֽחַת־ In return for ta·ḥaṯ- אַהֲבָתִ֥י my love ’a·hă·ḇā·ṯî יִשְׂטְנ֗וּנִי they accuse me , yiś·ṭə·nū·nî וַאֲנִ֥י but I [am a man] wa·’ă·nî תְפִלָּֽה׃ [of] prayer . ṯə·p̄il·lāh Psalm 109:5 וַיָּ֘שִׂ֤ימוּ They repay me way·yā·śî·mū עָלַ֣י . . . ‘ā·lay רָ֭עָה evil rā·‘āh תַּ֣חַת for ta·ḥaṯ טוֹבָ֑ה good , ṭō·w·ḇāh וְ֝שִׂנְאָ֗ה and hatred wə·śin·’āh תַּ֣חַת for ta·ḥaṯ אַהֲבָתִֽי׃ my love . ’a·hă·ḇā·ṯî Psalm 109:6 הַפְקֵ֣ד Set hap̄·qêḏ עָלָ֣יו over him ‘ā·lāw רָשָׁ֑ע a wicked man ; rā·šā‘ וְ֝שָׂטָ֗ן let an accuser wə·śā·ṭān יַעֲמֹ֥ד stand ya·‘ă·mōḏ עַל־ at ‘al- יְמִינֽוֹ׃ his right hand . yə·mî·nōw Psalm 109:7 בְּ֭הִשָּׁ֣פְטוֹ When he is tried , bə·hiš·šā·p̄ə·ṭōw יֵצֵ֣א . . . yê·ṣê רָשָׁ֑ע let him be found guilty , rā·šā‘ וּ֝תְפִלָּת֗וֹ and may his prayer ū·ṯə·p̄il·lā·ṯōw תִּהְיֶ֥ה be regarded tih·yeh לַֽחֲטָאָֽה׃ as sin . la·ḥă·ṭā·’āh Psalm 109:8 יָמָ֥יו May his days yā·māw יִֽהְיֽוּ־ be yih·yū- מְעַטִּ֑ים few ; mə·‘aṭ·ṭîm אַחֵֽר׃ may another ’a·ḥêr יִקַּ֥ח take yiq·qaḥ פְּ֝קֻדָּת֗וֹ his position . pə·qud·dā·ṯōw Psalm 109:9 בָנָ֥יו May his children ḇā·nāw יִֽהְיוּ־ be yih·yū- יְתוֹמִ֑ים fatherless yə·ṯō·w·mîm וְ֝אִשְׁתּוֹ and his wife wə·’iš·tōw אַלְמָנָֽה׃ a widow . ’al·mā·nāh Psalm 109:10 בָנָ֣יו May his children ḇā·nāw וְנ֤וֹעַ wander wə·nō·w·a‘ יָנ֣וּעוּ . . . yā·nū·‘ū וְשִׁאֵ֑לוּ as beggars , wə·ši·’ê·lū וְ֝דָרְשׁ֗וּ seeking sustenance wə·ḏā·rə·šū מֵחָרְבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ far from their ruined homes . mê·ḥā·rə·ḇō·w·ṯê·hem Psalm 109:11 נ֭וֹשֶׁה May the creditor nō·wō·šeh יְנַקֵּ֣שׁ seize yə·naq·qêš לְכָל־ all lə·ḵāl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer-
