קָדִ֑ים from the east qā·ḏîm תְּ֝שַׁבֵּ֗ר You wrecked tə·šab·bêr אֳנִיּ֥וֹת the ships ’o·nî·yō·wṯ תַּרְשִֽׁישׁ׃ of Tarshish . tar·šîš Psalm 48:8 כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר As ka·’ă·šer שָׁמַ֨עְנוּ׀ we have heard , šā·ma‘·nū כֵּ֤ן so kên רָאִ֗ינוּ we have seen rā·’î·nū בְּעִיר־ in the city bə·‘îr- יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh צְ֭בָאוֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ בְּעִ֣יר in the city bə·‘îr אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ of our God : ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū אֱלֹ֘הִ֤ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm יְכוֹנְנֶ֖הָ will establish her yə·ḵō·wn·ne·hā עַד־ forever ‘aḏ- עוֹלָ֣ם . . . . ‘ō·w·lām סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 48:9 בְּ֝קֶ֗רֶב Within bə·qe·reḇ הֵיכָלֶֽךָ׃ Your temple , hê·ḵā·le·ḵā אֱלֹהִ֣ים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm דִּמִּ֣ינוּ we contemplate dim·mî·nū חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ Your loving devotion . ḥas·de·ḵā Psalm 48:10 כְּשִׁמְךָ֤ Your name , kə·šim·ḵā אֱלֹהִ֗ים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm כֵּ֣ן . . . kên תְּ֭הִלָּתְךָ like Your praise , tə·hil·lā·ṯə·ḵā עַל־ reaches to ‘al- קַצְוֵי־ the ends qaṣ·wê- אֶ֑רֶץ of the earth ; ’e·reṣ יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ Your right hand yə·mî·ne·ḵā מָלְאָ֥ה is full mā·lə·’āh צֶ֝֗דֶק of righteousness . ṣe·ḏeq Psalm 48:11 הַר־ Mount har- צִיּ֗וֹן Zion ṣî·yō·wn יִשְׂמַ֤ח׀ is glad , yiś·maḥ בְּנ֣וֹת the daughters bə·nō·wṯ יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh תָּ֭גֵלְנָה rejoice , tā·ḡê·lə·nāh לְ֝מַ֗עַן on account of lə·ma·‘an מִשְׁפָּטֶֽיךָ׃ Your judgments . miš·pā·ṭe·ḵā Psalm 48:12 סֹ֣בּוּ March around sōb·bū צִ֭יּוֹן Zion , ṣî·yō·wn וְהַקִּיפ֑וּהָ encircle her , wə·haq·qî·p̄ū·hā סִ֝פְר֗וּ count sip̄·rū מִגְדָּלֶֽיהָ׃ her towers , miḡ·dā·le·hā Psalm 48:13 שִׁ֤יתוּ consider šî·ṯū לִבְּכֶ֨ם׀ . . . lib·bə·ḵem לְֽחֵילָ֗ה her ramparts , lə·ḥê·lāh פַּסְּג֥וּ tour pas·sə·ḡū אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ her citadels , ’ar·mə·nō·w·ṯe·hā לְמַ֥עַן that lə·ma·‘an תְּ֝סַפְּר֗וּ you may tell tə·sap·pə·rū אַחֲרֽוֹן׃ the next ’a·ḥă·rō·wn לְד֣וֹר generation . lə·ḏō·wr Psalm 48:14 כִּ֤י For kî זֶ֨ה׀ this zeh אֱלֹהִ֣ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֱ֭לֹהֵינוּ [is] our God ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū עוֹלָ֣ם forever ‘ō·w·lām וָעֶ֑ד and ever ; wā·‘eḏ ה֖וּא He hū יְנַהֲגֵ֣נוּ will be our guide yə·na·hă·ḡê·nū עַל־ even till ‘al- מֽוּת׃ death . mūṯ Psalm 49:1 לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ׀ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ מִזְמֽוֹר׃ A Psalm miz·mō·wr לִבְנֵי־ of the sons liḇ·nê- קֹ֬רַח of Korah . qō·raḥ שִׁמְעוּ־ Hear šim·‘ū- זֹ֭את this , zōṯ כָּל־ all you peoples kāl- הָֽעַמִּ֑ים . . . ; hā·‘am·mîm הַ֝אֲזִ֗ינוּ listen , ha·’ă·zî·nū כָּל־ all kāl- יֹ֥שְׁבֵי inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê
