לִבְנֵי־ Of the sons liḇ·nê- קֹ֑רַח of Korah . qō·raḥ עַֽל־ According to ‘al- עֲלָמ֥וֹת Alamoth . ‘ă·lā·mō·wṯ שִֽׁיר׃ A song . šîr אֱלֹהִ֣ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm לָ֭נוּ is our lā·nū מַחֲסֶ֣ה refuge ma·ḥă·seh וָעֹ֑ז and strength , wā·‘ōz נִמְצָ֥א an ever-present nim·ṣā מְאֹֽד׃ . . . mə·’ōḏ עֶזְרָ֥ה help ‘ez·rāh בְ֝צָר֗וֹת in times of trouble . ḇə·ṣā·rō·wṯ Psalm 46:2 עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּ֣ן . . . kên לֹא־ we will not lō- נִ֭ירָא fear , nî·rā אָ֑רֶץ though the earth ’ā·reṣ בְּהָמִ֣יר is transformed bə·hā·mîr הָ֝רִ֗ים and the mountains hā·rîm וּבְמ֥וֹט are toppled ū·ḇə·mō·wṭ בְּלֵ֣ב into the depths bə·lêḇ יַמִּֽים׃ of the seas , yam·mîm Psalm 46:3 מֵימָ֑יו though their waters mê·māw יֶהֱמ֣וּ roar ye·hĕ·mū יֶחְמְר֣וּ and foam yeḥ·mə·rū הָרִ֖ים and the mountains hā·rîm יִֽרְעֲשֽׁוּ־ quake yir·‘ă·šū- בְּגַאֲוָת֣וֹ in the surge . bə·ḡa·’ă·wā·ṯōw סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 46:4 נָהָ֗ר There is a river nā·hār פְּלָגָ֗יו whose streams pə·lā·ḡāw יְשַׂמְּח֥וּ delight yə·śam·mə·ḥū עִיר־ the city ‘îr- אֱלֹהִ֑ים of God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm קְ֝דֹ֗שׁ the holy [place where] qə·ḏōš עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ the Most High ‘el·yō·wn מִשְׁכְּנֵ֥י dwells . miš·kə·nê Psalm 46:5 אֱלֹהִ֣ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm בְּ֭קִרְבָּהּ is within her ; bə·qir·bāh בַּל־ she will not bal- תִּמּ֑וֹט be moved . tim·mō·wṭ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm יַעְזְרֶ֥הָ will help her ya‘·zə·re·hā בֹּֽקֶר׃ when morning bō·qer לִפְנ֥וֹת dawns . lip̄·nō·wṯ Psalm 46:6 ג֭וֹיִם Nations ḡō·w·yim הָמ֣וּ rage , hā·mū מַמְלָכ֑וֹת kingdoms mam·lā·ḵō·wṯ מָ֣טוּ crumble ; mā·ṭū אָֽרֶץ׃ the earth ’ā·reṣ תָּמ֥וּג melts tā·mūḡ נָתַ֥ן when He lifts nā·ṯan בְּ֝קוֹל֗וֹ His voice . bə·qō·w·lōw Psalm 46:7 יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֣וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ עִמָּ֑נוּ is with us ; ‘im·mā·nū אֱלֹהֵ֖י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יַעֲקֹ֣ב of Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ מִשְׂגָּֽב־ is our fortress miś·gāḇ- לָ֝נוּ . lā·nū סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 46:8 לְֽכוּ־ Come , lə·ḵū- חֲ֭זוּ see ḥă·zū מִפְעֲל֣וֹת the works mip̄·‘ă·lō·wṯ יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- שָׂ֖ם brings śām שַׁמּ֣וֹת devastation šam·mō·wṯ בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ upon the earth . bā·’ā·reṣ Psalm 46:9 מִלְחָמוֹת֮ He makes wars mil·ḥā·mō·wṯ מַשְׁבִּ֥ית to cease maš·bîṯ עַד־ throughout ‘aḏ- קְצֵ֪ה . . . qə·ṣêh הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ the earth ; hā·’ā·reṣ יְ֭שַׁבֵּר He breaks yə·šab·bêr
