לָכֶ֔ם you lā·ḵem אֵ֛ת ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- יִקְרָ֥א will happen yiq·rā אֶתְכֶ֖ם to you ’eṯ·ḵem הַיָּמִֽים׃ in the days hay·yā·mîm בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית to come : bə·’a·ḥă·rîṯ Genesis 49:2 הִקָּבְצ֥וּ Come together hiq·qā·ḇə·ṣū וְשִׁמְע֖וּ and listen , wə·šim·‘ū בְּנֵ֣י O sons bə·nê יַעֲקֹ֑ב of Jacob ; ya·‘ă·qōḇ וְשִׁמְע֖וּ listen wə·šim·‘ū אֶל־ to ’el- אֲבִיכֶֽם׃ your father ’ă·ḇî·ḵem יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Genesis 49:3 רְאוּבֵן֙ Reuben , rə·’ū·ḇên אַ֔תָּה you ’at·tāh בְּכֹ֣רִי are my firstborn , bə·ḵō·rî כֹּחִ֖י my might , kō·ḥî וְרֵאשִׁ֣ית and the beginning wə·rê·šîṯ אוֹנִ֑י of my strength , ’ō·w·nî יֶ֥תֶר excelling ye·ṯer שְׂאֵ֖ת in honor , śə·’êṯ וְיֶ֥תֶר excelling wə·ye·ṯer עָֽז׃ in power . ‘āz Genesis 49:4 פַּ֤חַז Uncontrolled pa·ḥaz כַּמַּ֙יִם֙ as the waters , kam·ma·yim אַל־ you will no ’al- תּוֹתַ֔ר longer excel , tō·w·ṯar כִּ֥י because kî עָלִ֖יתָ you went up ‘ā·lî·ṯā אָבִ֑יךָ to your father’s ’ā·ḇî·ḵā מִשְׁכְּבֵ֣י bed , miš·kə·ḇê עָלָֽה׃פ onto ‘ā·lāh יְצוּעִ֥י my couch , yə·ṣū·‘î אָ֥ז and ’āz חִלַּ֖לְתָּ defiled it . ḥil·lal·tā Genesis 49:5 שִׁמְע֥וֹן Simeon šim·‘ō·wn וְלֵוִ֖י and Levi wə·lê·wî אַחִ֑ים are brothers ; ’a·ḥîm מְכֵרֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ their swords mə·ḵê·rō·ṯê·hem כְּלֵ֥י are weapons kə·lê חָמָ֖ס of violence . ḥā·mās Genesis 49:6 נַפְשִׁ֔י May I nap̄·šî אַל־ never ’al- תָּבֹ֣א enter tā·ḇō בְּסֹדָם֙ their council ; bə·sō·ḏām כְּבֹדִ֑י may I kə·ḇō·ḏî אַל־ never ’al- תֵּחַ֣ד join tê·ḥaḏ בִּקְהָלָ֖ם their assembly . biq·hā·lām כִּ֤י For kî הָ֣רְגוּ they kill hā·rə·ḡū אִ֔ישׁ men ’îš בְאַפָּם֙ in their anger , ḇə·’ap·pām עִקְּרוּ־ and hamstring ‘iq·qə·rū- שֽׁוֹר׃ oxen šō·wr וּבִרְצֹנָ֖ם on a whim . ū·ḇir·ṣō·nām Genesis 49:7 אָר֤וּר Cursed [be] ’ā·rūr אַפָּם֙ their anger , ’ap·pām כִּ֣י for kî עָ֔ז it is strong , ‘āz וְעֶבְרָתָ֖ם and their wrath , wə·‘eḇ·rā·ṯām כִּ֣י for kî קָשָׁ֑תָה it is cruel ! qā·šā·ṯāh אֲחַלְּקֵ֣ם I will disperse them ’ă·ḥal·lə·qêm בְּיַעֲקֹ֔ב in Jacob bə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ וַאֲפִיצֵ֖ם and scatter them wa·’ă·p̄î·ṣêm בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס in Israel . bə·yiś·rā·’êl Genesis 49:8 יְהוּדָ֗ה Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh אַתָּה֙ . . . ’at·tāh אַחֶ֔יךָ your brothers ’a·ḥe·ḵā יוֹד֣וּךָ shall praise you . yō·w·ḏū·ḵā יָדְךָ֖ Your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā בְּעֹ֣רֶף shall be on the necks bə·‘ō·rep̄ אֹיְבֶ֑יךָ of your enemies ; ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā אָבִֽיךָ׃ your father’s ’ā·ḇî·ḵā בְּנֵ֥י sons bə·nê יִשְׁתַּחֲוּ֥וּ shall bow down yiš·ta·ḥăw·wū
