עַל־ on ‘al- עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ Your servant ; ‘aḇ·de·ḵā ה֖וֹשִׁיעֵ֣נִי save me hō·wō·šî·‘ê·nî בְחַסְדֶּֽךָ׃ by Your loving devotion . ḇə·ḥas·de·ḵā Psalm 31:17 יְֽהוָ֗ה O YHWH , Yah·weh אַל־ let me not ’al- אֵ֭בוֹשָׁה be ashamed , ’ê·ḇō·wō·šāh כִּ֣י for kî קְרָאתִ֑יךָ I have called on You . qə·rā·ṯî·ḵā רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים Let the wicked rə·šā·‘îm יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ be put to shame ; yê·ḇō·šū יִדְּמ֥וּ let them lie silent yid·də·mū לִשְׁאֽוֹל׃ in Sheol . liš·’ō·wl Psalm 31:18 שָׁ֥קֶר May lying šā·qer שִׂפְתֵ֫י lips śip̄·ṯê תֵּ֥אָלַ֗מְנָה be silenced — tê·’ā·lam·nāh הַדֹּבְר֖וֹת [lips that] speak had·dō·ḇə·rō·wṯ עָתָ֗ק with arrogance ‘ā·ṯāq עַל־ against ‘al- צַדִּ֥יק the righteous , ṣad·dîq בְּגַאֲוָ֥ה full of pride bə·ḡa·’ă·wāh וָבֽוּז׃ and contempt . wā·ḇūz Psalm 31:19 מָ֤ה How māh רַֽב־ great raḇ- טוּבְךָ֮ is Your goodness ṭū·ḇə·ḵā אֲשֶׁר־ which ’ă·šer- צָפַ֪נְתָּ You have laid up ṣā·p̄an·tā לִּֽירֵ֫אֶ֥יךָ for those who fear You , lî·rê·’e·ḵā פָּ֭עַלְתָּ which You have bestowed pā·‘al·tā נֶ֝֗גֶד before ne·ḡeḏ בְּנֵ֣י the sons bə·nê אָדָם׃ of men ʾå̄·ḏå̄m לַחֹסִ֣ים on those who take refuge la·ḥō·sîm בָּ֑ךְ in You ! bāḵ Psalm 31:20 תַּסְתִּירֵ֤ם׀ You hide them tas·tî·rêm בְּסֵ֥תֶר in the secret place bə·sê·ṯer פָּנֶיךָ֮ of Your presence pā·ne·ḵā מֵֽרֻכְסֵ֫י from the schemes mê·ruḵ·sê אִ֥ישׁ of men . ’îš תִּצְפְּנֵ֥ם You conceal them tiṣ·pə·nêm בְּסֻכָּ֗ה in Your shelter bə·suk·kāh מֵרִ֥יב from accusing mê·rîḇ לְשֹׁנֽוֹת׃ tongues . lə·šō·nō·wṯ Psalm 31:21 בָּר֥וּךְ Blessed bā·rūḵ יְהוָ֑ה be YHWH , Yah·weh כִּ֥י for kî הִפְלִ֘יא He has shown hip̄·lî לִ֝֗י me lî חַסְדּ֥וֹ His loving devotion ḥas·dōw בְּעִ֣יר in a city bə·‘îr מָצֽוֹר׃ under siege . mā·ṣō·wr Psalm 31:22 בְחָפְזִ֗י In my alarm ḇə·ḥā·p̄ə·zî וַאֲנִ֤י׀ I wa·’ă·nî אָ֘מַ֤רְתִּי said , ’ā·mar·tî נִגְרַזְתִּי֮ “ I am cut off niḡ·raz·tî מִנֶּ֪גֶד from min·ne·ḡeḏ עֵ֫ינֶ֥יךָ Your sight ! ” ‘ê·ne·ḵā אָכֵ֗ן But ’ā·ḵên שָׁ֭מַעְתָּ You heard ma‘·tā ק֥וֹל my plea qō·wl תַּחֲנוּנַ֗י for mercy ta·ḥă·nū·nay אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ when I called to You ’ê·le·ḵā בְּשַׁוְּעִ֥י for help . bə·šaw·wə·‘î Psalm 31:23 אֶֽהֱב֥וּ Love ’e·hĕ·ḇū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh כָּֽל־ all kāl- חֲסִ֫ידָ֥יו His saints . ḥă·sî·ḏāw יְהוָ֑ה YHWH Yah·weh נֹצֵ֣ר preserves nō·ṣêr אֱ֭מוּנִים the faithful , ’ĕ·mū·nîm עַל־ but fully ‘al- יֶ֝֗תֶר . . . ye·ṯer וּמְשַׁלֵּ֥ם repays ū·mə·šal·lêm עֹשֵׂ֥ה the arrogant ‘ō·śêh גַאֲוָֽה׃ . . . . ḡa·’ă·wāh
