Psalm 31:8 וְלֹ֣א You have not wə·lō הִ֭סְגַּרְתַּנִי delivered me his·gar·ta·nî בְּיַד־ to bə·yaḏ- אוֹיֵ֑ב the enemy ; ’ō·w·yêḇ הֶֽעֱמַ֖דְתָּ You have set he·‘ĕ·maḏ·tā רַגְלָֽי׃ my feet raḡ·lāy בַמֶּרְחָ֣ב in the open . ḇam·mer·ḥāḇ Psalm 31:9 חָנֵּ֥נִי Be merciful to me , ḥān·nê·nî יְהוָה֮ O YHWH , Yah·weh כִּ֤י for kî צַ֫ר־ I am in distress ṣar- לִ֥י ; lî עֵינִ֗י my eyes ‘ê·nî עָשְׁשָׁ֖ה fail ‘ā·šə·šāh בְכַ֥עַס from sorrow , ḇə·ḵa·‘as נַפְשִׁ֥י my soul nap̄·šî וּבִטְנִֽי׃ and body as well . ū·ḇiṭ·nî Psalm 31:10 כִּ֤י For kî חַיַּי֮ my life ḥay·yay כָל֪וּ is consumed ḵā·lū בְיָג֡וֹן with grief ḇə·yā·ḡō·wn וּשְׁנוֹתַ֪י and my years ū·šə·nō·w·ṯay בַּאֲנָ֫חָ֥ה with groaning ; ba·’ă·nā·ḥāh בַּעֲוֺנִ֣י my iniquity ba·‘ă·wō·nî כָּשַׁ֣ל has drained kā·šal כֹחִ֑י my strength , ḵō·ḥî וַעֲצָמַ֥י and my bones wa·‘ă·ṣā·may עָשֵֽׁשׁוּ׃ are wasting away . ‘ā·šê·šū Psalm 31:11 מִכָּל־ Among all mik·kāl צֹרְרַ֨י my enemies ṣō·rə·ray הָיִ֪יתִי I am hā·yî·ṯî חֶרְפָּ֡ה a disgrace , ḥer·pāh וְלִשֲׁכֵנַ֨י׀ and among my neighbors wə·li·šă·ḵê·nay מְאֹד֮ even more . mə·’ōḏ וּפַ֪חַד I am dreaded ū·p̄a·ḥaḏ לִֽמְיֻדָּ֫עָ֥י by my friends — lim·yud·dā·‘āy נָדְד֥וּ they flee nā·ḏə·ḏū רֹאַ֥י when they see rō·’ay מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ me mim·men·nî בַּח֑וּץ on the street . ba·ḥūṣ Psalm 31:12 נִ֭שְׁכַּחְתִּי I am forgotten niš·kaḥ·tî כְּמֵ֣ת like a dead man , kə·mêṯ מִלֵּ֑ב out of mind . mil·lêḇ הָ֝יִ֗יתִי I am hā·yî·ṯî אֹבֵֽד׃ like a broken ’ō·ḇêḏ כִּכְלִ֥י vessel . kiḵ·lî Psalm 31:13 כִּ֤י For kî שָׁמַ֨עְתִּי׀ I hear šā·ma‘·tî דִּבַּ֥ת the slander dib·baṯ רַבִּים֮ of many ; rab·bîm מָג֪וֹר there is terror mā·ḡō·wr מִסָּ֫בִ֥יב on every side . mis·sā·ḇîḇ בְּהִוָּסְדָ֣ם They conspire bə·hiw·wā·sə·ḏām יַ֣חַד . . . ya·ḥaḏ עָלַ֑י against me ‘ā·lay זָמָֽמוּ׃ [and] plot zā·mā·mū לָקַ֖חַת to take lā·qa·ḥaṯ נַפְשִׁ֣י my life . nap̄·šî Psalm 31:14 וַאֲנִ֤י׀ But I wa·’ă·nî בָטַ֣חְתִּי trust ḇā·ṭaḥ·tî עָלֶ֣יךָ in You , ‘ā·le·ḵā יְהוָ֑ה O YHWH ; Yah·weh אָ֝מַ֗רְתִּי I say , ’ā·mar·tî אָֽתָּה׃ “ You ’āt·tāh אֱלֹהַ֥י are my God . ” ’ĕ·lō·hay Psalm 31:15 עִתֹּתָ֑י My times ‘it·tō·ṯāy בְּיָדְךָ֥ [are] in Your hands ; bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā הַצִּ֘ילֵ֤נִי deliver me haṣ·ṣî·lê·nî מִיַּד־ from mî·yaḏ- א֝וֹיְבַ֗י my enemies ’ō·wy·ḇay וּמֵרֹדְפָֽי׃ and from those who pursue me . ū·mê·rō·ḏə·p̄āy Psalm 31:16 פָ֭נֶיךָ Make Your face p̄ā·ne·ḵā הָאִ֣ירָה shine hā·’î·rāh
