קַרְסֻלָּֽי׃ so that my ankles qar·sul·lāy וְלֹ֥א do not wə·lō מָ֝עֲד֗וּ give way . mā·‘ă·ḏū Psalm 18:37 אֶרְדּ֣וֹף I pursued ’er·dō·wp̄ א֭וֹיְבַי my enemies ’ō·wy·ḇay וְאַשִּׂיגֵ֑ם and overtook them ; wə·’aś·śî·ḡêm וְלֹֽא־ I did not wə·lō- אָ֝שׁוּב turn back ʾå̄·šūḇ עַד־ until ‘aḏ- כַּלּוֹתָֽם׃ they were consumed . kal·lō·w·ṯām Psalm 18:38 אֶ֭מְחָצֵם I crushed them ’em·ḥā·ṣêm וְלֹא־ so they could not wə·lō- יֻ֣כְלוּ . . . yuḵ·lū ק֑וּם rise ; qūm יִ֝פְּל֗וּ they have fallen yip·pə·lū תַּ֣חַת under ta·ḥaṯ רַגְלָֽי׃ my feet . raḡ·lāy Psalm 18:39 וַתְּאַזְּרֵ֣נִי You have armed me wat·tə·’az·zə·rê·nî חַ֭יִל with strength ḥa·yil לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה for battle ; lam·mil·ḥā·māh תַּכְרִ֖יעַ You have subdued taḵ·rî·a‘ קָמַ֣י my foes qā·may תַּחְתָּֽי׃ beneath me . taḥ·tāy Psalm 18:40 נָתַ֣תָּה You have made nā·ṯat·tāh וְֽאֹיְבַ֗י my enemies wə·’ō·yə·ḇay עֹ֑רֶף retreat ‘ō·rep̄ לִּ֣י before me ; lî אַצְמִיתֵֽם׃ I put an end ’aṣ·mî·ṯêm וּ֝מְשַׂנְאַ֗י to those who hated me . ū·mə·śan·’ay Psalm 18:41 יְשַׁוְּע֥וּ They cried for help , yə·šaw·wə·‘ū וְאֵין־ but [there was] no one wə·’ên- מוֹשִׁ֑יעַ to save them — mō·wō·šî·a‘ עַל־ to ‘al- יְ֝הוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh וְלֹ֣א but He did not wə·lō עָנָֽם׃ answer . ‘ā·nām Psalm 18:42 וְֽאֶשְׁחָקֵ֗ם I ground them wə·’eš·ḥā·qêm כְּעָפָ֥ר as dust kə·‘ā·p̄ār עַל־ in ‘al- פְּנֵי־ the face of pə·nê- ר֑וּחַ the wind ; rū·aḥ אֲרִיקֵֽם׃ I trampled them ’ă·rî·qêm כְּטִ֖יט like mud kə·ṭîṭ חוּצ֣וֹת in the streets . ḥū·ṣō·wṯ Psalm 18:43 תְּפַלְּטֵנִי֮ You have delivered me tə·p̄al·lə·ṭê·nî מֵרִ֪יבֵ֫י from the strife mê·rî·ḇê עָ֥ם of the people ; ‘ām תְּ֭שִׂימֵנִי You have made me tə·śî·mê·nî לְרֹ֣אשׁ the head lə·rōš גּוֹיִ֑ם of nations ; gō·w·yim עַ֖ם a people ‘am לֹא־ I had not lō- יָדַ֣עְתִּי known yā·ḏa‘·tî יַֽעַבְדֽוּנִי׃ shall serve me . ya·‘aḇ·ḏū·nî Psalm 18:44 לְשֵׁ֣מַֽע When they hear me lə·šê·ma‘ אֹ֭זֶן . . . , ’ō·zen יִשָּׁ֣מְעוּ they obey yiš·šā·mə·‘ū לִ֑י me ; lî בְּנֵֽי־ foreigners bə·nê- נֵ֝כָ֗ר . . . nê·ḵār יְכַחֲשׁוּ־ cower yə·ḵa·ḥă·šū- לִֽי׃ before me . lî Psalm 18:45 בְּנֵי־ Foreigners bə·nê- נֵכָ֥ר . . . nê·ḵār יִבֹּ֑לוּ lose heart yib·bō·lū וְ֝יַחְרְג֗וּ and come trembling wə·yaḥ·rə·ḡū מִֽמִּסְגְּרֽוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ from their strongholds . mim·mis·gə·rō·w·ṯê·hem Psalm 18:46 יְ֭הוָה YHWH Yah·weh חַי־ lives , ḥay- וּבָר֣וּךְ and blessed be ū·ḇā·rūḵ
