אֶשְׂבְּעָ֥ה I will be satisfied ’eś·bə·‘āh תְּמוּנָתֶֽךָ׃ in Your presence . tə·mū·nā·ṯe·ḵā Psalm 18:1 לַמְנַצֵּ֤חַ׀ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ לְדָ֫וִ֥ד Of David lə·ḏā·wiḏ לְעֶ֥בֶד the servant lə·‘e·ḇeḏ יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH , Yah·weh אֲשֶׁ֤ר who ’ă·šer דִּבֶּ֨ר׀ sang dib·ber אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דִּ֭בְרֵי - diḇ·rê הַזֹּ֑את this haz·zōṯ הַשִּׁירָ֣ה song haš·šî·rāh לַיהוָ֗ה to YHWH Yah·weh בְּי֤וֹם on the day bə·yō·wm יְהוָ֘ה YHWH Yah·weh הִֽצִּיל־ had delivered hiṣ·ṣîl- אוֹת֥וֹ him ’ō·w·ṯōw מִכַּ֥ף from the hand mik·kap̄ כָּל־ of all kāl- אֹ֝יְבָ֗יו his enemies ’ō·yə·ḇāw וּמִיַּ֥ד and from the hand ū·mî·yaḏ שָׁאֽוּל׃ of Saul . šā·’ūl וַיֹּאמַ֡ר He said : way·yō·mar אֶרְחָמְךָ֖ I love You , ’er·ḥā·mə·ḵā יְהוָ֣ה O YHWH , Yah·weh חִזְקִֽי׃ my strength . ḥiz·qî Psalm 18:2 יְהוָ֤ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh סַֽלְעִ֥י is my rock , sal·‘î וּמְצוּדָתִ֗י my fortress , ū·mə·ṣū·ḏā·ṯî וּמְפַ֫לְטִ֥י and my deliverer . ū·mə·p̄al·ṭî אֵלִ֣י My God [is] ’ê·lî צ֭וּרִי my rock , ṣū·rî אֶֽחֱסֶה־ in whom I take refuge ’e·ḥĕ·seh- בּ֑וֹ , bōw מָֽגִנִּ֥י my shield , mā·ḡin·nî וְקֶֽרֶן־ and the horn wə·qe·ren- יִ֝שְׁעִ֗י of my salvation , yiš·‘î מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃ my stronghold . miś·gab·bî Psalm 18:3 אֶקְרָ֣א I will call upon ’eq·rā יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh מְ֭הֻלָּל [who is worthy] to be praised ; mə·hul·lāl אִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃ so shall I be saved ’iw·wā·šê·a‘ וּמִן־ from ū·min- אֹ֝יְבַ֗י my enemies . ’ō·yə·ḇay Psalm 18:4 חֶבְלֵי־ The cords ḥeḇ·lê- מָ֑וֶת of death mā·weṯ אֲפָפ֥וּנִי encompassed me ; ’ă·p̄ā·p̄ū·nî וְֽנַחֲלֵ֖י the torrents wə·na·ḥă·lê בְלִיַּ֣עַל of chaos ḇə·lî·ya·‘al יְבַֽעֲתֽוּנִי׃ overwhelmed me . yə·ḇa·‘ă·ṯū·nî Psalm 18:5 חֶבְלֵ֣י The cords ḥeḇ·lê שְׁא֣וֹל of Sheol šə·’ō·wl סְבָב֑וּנִי entangled me ; sə·ḇā·ḇū·nî מ֣וֹקְשֵׁי the snares mō·wq·šê מָֽוֶת׃ of death mā·weṯ קִ֝דְּמ֗וּנִי confronted me . qid·də·mū·nî Psalm 18:6 בַּצַּר־ In my distress baṣ·ṣar- אֶֽקְרָ֣א I called ’eq·rā לִ֤י׀ upon lî יְהוָה֮ YHWH ; Yah·weh וְאֶל־ I cried to wə·’el- אֱלֹהַ֪י my God ’ĕ·lō·hay אֲשַׁ֫וֵּ֥עַ for help . ’ă·šaw·wê·a‘ מֵהֵיכָל֣וֹ From His temple mê·hê·ḵā·lōw יִשְׁמַ֣ע He heard yiš·ma‘ קוֹלִ֑י my voice , qō·w·lî וְ֝שַׁוְעָתִ֗י and my cry for His help wə·šaw·‘ā·ṯî לְפָנָ֤יו׀ . . . lə·p̄ā·nāw תָּב֬וֹא reached tā·ḇō·w בְאָזְנָֽיו׃ His ears . ḇə·’ā·zə·nāw Psalm 18:7 הָאָ֗רֶץ Then the earth hā·’ā·reṣ וַתִּגְעַ֬שׁ shook wat·tiḡ·‘aš וַתִּרְעַ֨שׁ׀ and quaked , wat·tir·‘aš וּמוֹסְדֵ֣י and the foundations ū·mō·ws·ḏê הָרִ֣ים of the mountains hā·rîm יִרְגָּ֑זוּ trembled ; yir·gā·zū וַ֝יִּתְגָּֽעֲשׁ֗וּ they were shaken way·yiṯ·gā·‘ă·šū כִּי־ because kî- חָ֥רָה He burned with anger . ḥā·rāh
