אֵ֥יד disaster ’êḏ לְעַוָּ֑ל come to the unjust lə·‘aw·wāl וְ֝נֵ֗כֶר and calamity wə·nê·ḵer לְפֹ֣עֲלֵי to the workers lə·p̄ō·‘ă·lê אָֽוֶן׃ of iniquity ? ’ā·wen Job 31:4 ה֭וּא Does He hū הֲלֹא־ not hă·lō- יִרְאֶ֣ה see yir·’eh דְרָכָ֑י my ways ḏə·rā·ḵāy יִסְפּֽוֹר׃ and count yis·pō·wr וְֽכָל־ my every wə·ḵāl צְעָדַ֥י step ? ṣə·‘ā·ḏay Job 31:5 אִם־ If ’im- הָלַ֥כְתִּי I have walked hā·laḵ·tî עִם־ in ‘im- שָׁ֑וְא falsehood šāw רַגְלִֽי׃ or my foot raḡ·lî וַתַּ֖חַשׁ has rushed wat·ta·ḥaš עַל־ to ‘al- מִרְמָ֣ה deceit , mir·māh Job 31:6 יִשְׁקְלֵ֥נִי let God weigh me yiš·qə·lê·nî צֶ֑דֶק with honest ṣe·ḏeq בְמֹאזְנֵי־ scales , ḇə·mō·zə·nê- אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַּ that He ’ĕ·lō·w·ah וְיֵדַ֥ע may know wə·yê·ḏa‘ תֻּמָּתִֽי׃ my integrity . tum·mā·ṯî Job 31:7 אִ֥ם If ’im אַשֻּׁרִי֮ my steps ’aš·šu·rî תִּטֶּ֣ה have turned tiṭ·ṭeh מִנִּ֪י from min·nî הַ֫דָּ֥רֶךְ the path , had·dā·reḵ לִבִּ֑י if my heart lib·bî וְאַחַ֣ר has followed wə·’a·ḥar הָלַ֣ךְ . . . hā·laḵ עֵ֭ינַי my eyes , ‘ê·nay מֻאֽוּם׃פ or if impurity mu·ʾūm דָּ֣בַק has stuck dā·ḇaq וּ֝בְכַפַּ֗י to my hands , ū·ḇə·ḵap·pay Job 31:8 וְאַחֵ֣ר then may another wə·’a·ḥêr יֹאכֵ֑ל eat yō·ḵêl אֶ֭זְרְעָה what I have sown , ’ez·rə·‘āh וְֽצֶאֱצָאַ֥י and may my crops wə·ṣe·’ĕ·ṣā·’ay יְשֹׁרָֽשׁוּ׃ be uprooted . yə·šō·rā·šū Job 31:9 אִם־ If ’im- לִ֭בִּי my heart lib·bî נִפְתָּ֣ה has been enticed nip̄·tāh עַל־ by ‘al- רֵעִ֣י my neighbor’s rê·‘î אִשָּׁ֑ה wife , ’iš·šāh אָרָֽבְתִּי׃ or I have lurked ’ā·rā·ḇə·tî וְעַל־ at wə·‘al- פֶּ֖תַח his door , pe·ṯaḥ Job 31:10 אִשְׁתִּ֑י then may my own wife ’iš·tî תִּטְחַ֣ן grind [grain] tiṭ·ḥan לְאַחֵ֣ר for another , lə·’a·ḥêr אֲחֵרִֽין׃ and may other men ’ă·ḥê·rîn יִכְרְע֥וּן sleep yiḵ·rə·‘ūn וְ֝עָלֶ֗יהָ with her . wə·‘ā·le·hā Job 31:11 כִּי־ For kî- הוּא that [would be] hū זִמָּ֑ה a heinous crime , zim·māh וְהִיא - wə·hī עָוֺ֥ן an iniquity ‘ā·wōn פְּלִילִֽים׃ to be judged . pə·lî·lîm Job 31:12 כִּ֤י For kî הִ֭יא it hî אֵ֣שׁ is a fire ’êš תֹּאכֵ֑ל that burns tō·ḵêl עַד־ down to ‘aḏ- אֲבַדּ֣וֹן Abaddon ; ’ă·ḇad·dō·wn תְשָׁרֵֽשׁ׃ it would root out ṯə·šā·rêš וּֽבְכָל־ my entire ū·ḇə·ḵāl תְּב֖וּאָתִ֣י harvest . tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯî
