וַֽיְהִי֙ lived way·hî כָּל־ a total of kāl- יְמֵי־ . . . yə·mê- שֶׁ֤בַע 777 še·ḇa‘ מֵא֖וֹת . . . mê·’ō·wṯ שָׁנָ֔ה . . . šā·nāh וְשִׁבְעִים֙ . . . wə·šiḇ·‘îm וּשְׁבַ֥ע . . . ū·šə·ḇa‘ שָׁנָ֑ה years , šā·nāh וַיָּמֹֽת׃ס and then he died . way·yā·mōṯ Genesis 5:32 אֶת־ After ’eṯ- נֹ֕חַ Noah nō·aḥ וַֽיְהִי־ was way·hî- חֲמֵ֥שׁ 500 ḥă·mêš מֵא֖וֹת . . . mê·’ō·wṯ שָׁנָ֑ה years šā·nāh בֶּן־ old , ben- נֹ֔חַ [he] nō·aḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיּ֣וֹלֶד became the father of way·yō·w·leḏ שֵׁ֖ם Shem , šêm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- חָ֥ם Ham , ḥām יָֽפֶת׃ and Japheth . yā·p̄eṯ Genesis 6:1 וַֽיְהִי֙ Now way·hî כִּֽי־ when kî- הָֽאָדָ֔ם men hā·’ā·ḏām הֵחֵ֣ל began hê·ḥêl לָרֹ֖ב to multiply lā·rōḇ עַל־ on ‘al- פְּנֵ֣י the face pə·nê הָֽאֲדָמָ֑ה of the earth hā·’ă·ḏā·māh וּבָנ֖וֹת and daughters ū·ḇā·nō·wṯ יֻלְּד֥וּ were born yul·lə·ḏū לָהֶֽם׃ to them , lā·hem Genesis 6:2 בְנֵי־ the sons ḇə·nê- הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּרְא֤וּ saw way·yir·’ū כִּ֥י that kî בְּנ֣וֹת the daughters bə·nō·wṯ הָֽאָדָ֔ם of men hā·’ā·ḏām הֵ֑נָּה - hên·nāh טֹבֹ֖ת [were] beautiful , ṭō·ḇōṯ וַיִּקְח֤וּ and they took way·yiq·ḥū לָהֶם֙ - lā·hem נָשִׁ֔ים as wives nā·šîm מִכֹּ֖ל vvv mik·kōl אֲשֶׁ֥ר whomever ’ă·šer בָּחָֽרוּ׃ they chose . bā·ḥā·rū Genesis 6:3 יְהוָ֗ה So YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said , way·yō·mer רוּחִ֤י “ My Spirit rū·ḥî לֹֽא־ {will} not lō- יָד֨וֹן contend yā·ḏō·wn בָֽאָדָם֙ with man ḇā·’ā·ḏām לְעֹלָ֔ם forever , lə·‘ō·lām בְּשַׁגַּ֖ם for bə·šag·gam ה֣וּא he [is] hū בָשָׂ֑ר mortal ; ḇā·śār יָמָ֔יו his days yā·māw וְהָי֣וּ {shall} be wə·hā·yū מֵאָ֥ה 120 mê·’āh וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים . . . wə·‘eś·rîm שָׁנָֽה׃ years . ” šā·nāh Genesis 6:4 הַנְּפִלִ֞ים The Nephilim han·nə·p̄i·lîm הָי֣וּ were hā·yū בָאָרֶץ֮ on the earth ḇā·’ā·reṣ בַּיָּמִ֣ים in those days — bay·yā·mîm הָהֵם֒ . . . hā·hêm וְגַ֣ם and wə·ḡam אַֽחֲרֵי־ afterward as well ’a·ḥă·rê- כֵ֗ן . . . — ḵên אֲשֶׁ֨ר when ’ă·šer בְּנֵ֤י the sons bə·nê הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm יָבֹ֜אוּ had relations with yā·ḇō·’ū אֶל־ . . . ’el- בְּנ֣וֹת the daughters bə·nō·wṯ הָֽאָדָ֔ם of men . hā·’ā·ḏām וְיָלְד֖וּ And they bore wə·yā·lə·ḏū לָהֶ֑ם them lā·hem הֵ֧מָּה [children] who hêm·māh הַגִּבֹּרִ֛ים [became] the mighty men hag·gib·bō·rîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer
