חָ֑סֶד [should have] the kindness ḥā·seḏ מֵרֵעֵ֣הוּ of his friend , mê·rê·‘ê·hū יַעֲזֽוֹב׃ even if he forsakes ya·‘ă·zō·wḇ וְיִרְאַ֖ת the fear wə·yir·’aṯ שַׁדַּ֣י of the Almighty . šad·day Job 6:15 אַ֭חַי [But] my brothers ’a·ḥay בָּגְד֣וּ are as faithless bā·ḡə·ḏū כְמוֹ־ as ḵə·mōw- נָ֑חַל wadis , nā·ḥal כַּאֲפִ֖יק as seasonal streams ka·’ă·p̄îq נְחָלִ֣ים . . . nə·ḥā·lîm יַעֲבֹֽרוּ׃ that overflow , ya·‘ă·ḇō·rū Job 6:16 הַקֹּדְרִ֥ים darkened haq·qō·ḏə·rîm מִנִּי־ because min·nî- קָ֑רַח of the ice qā·raḥ עָ֝לֵ֗ימוֹ and the inflow ‘ā·lê·mōw יִתְעַלֶּם־ of melting yiṯ·‘al·lem- שָֽׁלֶג׃ snow , šā·leḡ Job 6:17 נִצְמָ֑תוּ but ceasing niṣ·mā·ṯū בְּ֭עֵת in the dry season bə·‘êṯ יְזֹרְב֣וּ . . . yə·zō·rə·ḇū נִדְעֲכ֥וּ [and] vanishing niḏ·‘ă·ḵū מִמְּקוֹמָֽם׃ from their channels mim·mə·qō·w·mām בְּ֝חֻמּ֗וֹ in the heat . bə·ḥum·mōw Job 6:18 אָרְח֣וֹת Caravans ’ā·rə·ḥō·wṯ יִ֭לָּ֣פְתוּ turn aside yil·lā·p̄ə·ṯū דַּרְכָּ֑ם from their routes ; dar·kām יַעֲל֖וּ they go ya·‘ă·lū בַתֹּ֣הוּ into the wasteland ḇat·tō·hū וְיֹאבֵֽדוּ׃ and perish . wə·yō·ḇê·ḏū Job 6:19 אָרְח֣וֹת The caravans ’ā·rə·ḥō·wṯ תֵּמָ֑א of Tema tê·mā הִ֭בִּיטוּ look [for water] ; hib·bî·ṭū הֲלִיכֹ֥ת the travelers hă·lî·ḵōṯ שְׁ֝בָ֗א of Sheba ḇā קִוּוּ־ hope qiw·wū- לָֽמוֹ׃ to find it . lā·mōw Job 6:20 בֹּ֥שׁוּ They are confounded bō·šū כִּֽי־ because kî- בָטָ֑ח they had hoped ; ḇā·ṭāḥ בָּ֥אוּ their arrival bå̄·ʾū עָ֝דֶ֗יהָ - ‘ā·ḏe·hā וַיֶּחְפָּֽרוּ׃ brings disappointment . way·yeḥ·pā·rū Job 6:21 כִּֽי־ For kî- עַ֭תָּה now ‘at·tāh הֱיִ֣יתֶם you are hĕ·yî·ṯem לֹא of no help ; lō תִּֽרְא֥וּ you see tir·’ū חֲ֝תַ֗ת terror , ḥă·ṯaṯ וַתִּירָֽאוּ׃ and you are afraid . wat·tî·rā·’ū Job 6:22 הֲ Have I ever hăḵî- אָ֭מַרְתִּי said , ’ā·mar·tî הָ֣בוּ ‘ Give me something hā·ḇū לִ֑י ; lî שִׁחֲד֥וּ offer me a bribe ši·ḥă·ḏū בַעֲדִֽי׃ . . . ḇa·‘ă·ḏî וּ֝מִכֹּחֲכֶ֗ם from your wealth ; ū·mik·kō·ḥă·ḵem Job 6:23 וּמַלְּט֥וּנִי deliver me ū·mal·lə·ṭū·nî מִיַּד־ from the hand mî·yaḏ- צָ֑ר of the enemy ; ṣār תִּפְדּֽוּנִי׃ redeem me tip̄·dū·nî וּמִיַּ֖ד from the grasp ū·mî·yaḏ עָרִיצִ֣ים of the ruthless ’ ? ‘ā·rî·ṣîm Job 6:24 ה֭וֹרוּנִי Teach me , hō·w·rū·nî וַאֲנִ֣י and I wa·’ă·nî אַחֲרִ֑ישׁ will be silent . ’a·ḥă·rîš הָבִ֥ינוּ Help me understand hā·ḇî·nū לִֽי׃ lî וּמַה־ how ū·ma·hō·šā- שָּׁ֝גִ֗יתִי I have erred . ḡî·ṯî
