וְאֵינֶ֑נּוּ that does not come , wə·’ê·nen·nū וַֽ֝יַּחְפְּרֻ֗הוּ and search for it way·yaḥ·pə·ru·hū מִמַּטְמוֹנִֽים׃ like hidden treasure , mim·maṭ·mō·w·nîm Job 3:22 הַשְּׂמֵחִ֥ים who rejoice haś·śə·mê·ḥîm אֱלֵי־ . . . ’ĕ·lê- גִ֑יל and greatly ḡîl יָ֝שִׂ֗ישׂוּ exult yā·śî·śū כִּ֣י when kî יִמְצְאוּ־ they can find yim·ṣə·’ū- קָֽבֶר׃ the grave ? qā·ḇer Job 3:23 לְ֭גֶבֶר Why is life given to a man lə·ḡe·ḇer אֲשֶׁר־ whose ’ă·šer- דַּרְכּ֣וֹ way dar·kōw נִסְתָּ֑רָה is hidden , nis·tā·rāh אֱל֣וֹהַּ whom God ’ĕ·lō·w·ah בַּעֲדֽוֹ׃ . . . ba·‘ă·ḏōw וַיָּ֖סֶךְ has hedged in ? way·yā·seḵ Job 3:24 אַנְחָתִ֣י I sigh ’an·ḥā·ṯî כִּֽי־ when kî- לַ֭חְמִי food laḥ·mî תָבֹ֑א is put ṯā·ḇō לִפְנֵ֣י before me , lip̄·nê שַׁאֲגֹתָֽי׃ and my groans ša·’ă·ḡō·ṯāy וַֽיִּתְּכ֥וּ pour out way·yit·tə·ḵū כַ֝מַּ֗יִם like water . ḵam·ma·yim Job 3:25 כִּ֤י For kî פַ֣חַד the thing p̄a·ḥaḏ פָּ֭חַדְתִּי I feared pā·ḥaḏ·tî וַיֶּאֱתָיֵ֑נִי has overtaken me , way·ye·’ĕ·ṯā·yê·nî וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר and what wa·’ă·šer יָ֝גֹ֗רְתִּי I dreaded yā·ḡō·rə·tî יָ֣בֹא has befallen yā·ḇō לִֽי׃ me . lî Job 3:26 לֹ֤א I am not lō שָׁלַ֨וְתִּי׀ at ease šā·law·tî שָׁקַ֥טְתִּי or quiet šā·qaṭ·tî וְֽלֹא־ . . . ; wə·lō- וְלֹ֖א I have no wə·lō נָ֗חְתִּי rest , nā·ḥə·tî רֹֽגֶז׃פ for trouble rō·ḡez וַיָּ֥בֹא has come . ” way·yā·ḇō Job 4:1 אֱלִיפַ֥ז Then Eliphaz ’ĕ·lî·p̄az הַֽתֵּימָנִ֗י the Temanite hat·tê·mā·nî וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ . . . way·yō·mar וַ֭יַּעַן replied : way·ya·‘an Job 4:2 הֲנִסָּ֬ה “ If one ventures hă·nis·sāh דָבָ֣ר a word ḏā·ḇār אֵלֶ֣יךָ with you , ’ê·le·ḵā תִּלְאֶ֑ה will you be wearied ? til·’eh מִ֣י Yet who mî יוּכָֽל׃ can yū·ḵāl וַעְצֹ֥ר keep wa‘·ṣōr בְּ֝מִלִּ֗ין from speaking ? bə·mil·lîn Job 4:3 הִ֭נֵּה Surely hin·nêh יִסַּ֣רְתָּ you have instructed yis·sar·tā רַבִּ֑ים many , rab·bîm תְּחַזֵּֽק׃ and have strengthened tə·ḥaz·zêq רָפ֣וֹת their feeble rā·p̄ō·wṯ וְיָדַ֖יִם hands . wə·yā·ḏa·yim Job 4:4 מִלֶּ֑יךָ Your words mil·le·ḵā יְקִימ֣וּן have steadied yə·qî·mūn כּ֭וֹשֵׁל those who stumbled ; kō·wō·šêl תְּאַמֵּֽץ׃ you have braced tə·’am·mêṣ וּבִרְכַּ֖יִם the knees ū·ḇir·ka·yim כֹּרְע֣וֹת that were buckling . kō·rə·‘ō·wṯ Job 4:5 כִּ֤י But kî עַתָּ֨ה׀ now ‘at·tāh תָּב֣וֹא [trouble] has come tā·ḇō·w אֵלֶ֣יךָ upon you , ’ê·le·ḵā וַתֵּ֑לֶא and you are weary . wat·tê·le
