Genesis 44:24 וַיְהִי֙ Now when way·hî כִּ֣י . . . kî עָלִ֔ינוּ we returned ‘ā·lî·nū אֶֽל־ to ’el- עַבְדְּךָ֖ your servant ‘aḇ·də·ḵā אָבִ֑י my father , ’ā·ḇî וַנַּ֨גֶּד־ we relayed wan·nag·geḏ- דִּבְרֵ֥י your words diḇ·rê אֲדֹנִֽי׃ . . . ’ă·ḏō·nî ל֔וֹ to lōw אֵ֖ת him . ’êṯ Genesis 44:25 אָבִ֑ינוּ Then our father ’ā·ḇî·nū וַיֹּ֖אמֶר said , way·yō·mer שֻׁ֖בוּ ‘ Go back šu·ḇū שִׁבְרוּ־ and buy šiḇ·rū- לָ֥נוּ us lā·nū מְעַט־ some mə·‘aṭ- אֹֽכֶל׃ food . ’ ’ō·ḵel Genesis 44:26 וַנֹּ֕אמֶר But we answered , wan·nō·mer לֹ֥א ‘ We cannot lō נוּכַ֖ל . . . nū·ḵal לָרֶ֑דֶת go down there lā·re·ḏeṯ אִם־ unless ’im- יֵשׁ֩ . . . yêš הַקָּטֹ֤ן our younger haq·qā·ṭōn אָחִ֨ינוּ brother ’ā·ḥî·nū וְיָרַ֔דְנוּ goes wə·yā·raḏ·nū כִּי־ . . . kî- אִתָּ֙נוּ֙ with us . ’it·tā·nū הַקָּטֹ֖ן So if our younger haq·qā·ṭōn וְאָחִ֥ינוּ brother wə·’ā·ḥî·nū אֵינֶ֥נּוּ is not ’ê·nen·nū אִתָּֽנוּ׃ with us , ’it·tā·nū לֹ֣א we cannot lō נוּכַ֗ל . . . nū·ḵal לִרְאוֹת֙ see lir·’ō·wṯ פְּנֵ֣י . . . pə·nê הָאִ֔ישׁ the man . ’ hā·’îš Genesis 44:27 עַבְדְּךָ֥ And your servant ‘aḇ·də·ḵā אָבִ֖י my father ’ā·ḇî וַיֹּ֛אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֵלֵ֑ינוּ to us , ’ê·lê·nū אַתֶּ֣ם ‘ You ’at·tem יְדַעְתֶּ֔ם know yə·ḏa‘·tem כִּ֥י that kî אִשְׁתִּֽי׃ my wife ’iš·tî יָֽלְדָה־ bore yā·lə·ḏāh- לִּ֥י me lî שְׁנַ֖יִם two sons . šə·na·yim Genesis 44:28 הָֽאֶחָד֙ When one of them hā·’e·ḥāḏ וַיֵּצֵ֤א was gone way·yê·ṣê מֵֽאִתִּ֔י . . . , mê·’it·tî וָאֹמַ֕ר I said : wā·’ō·mar אַ֖ךְ “ Surely ’aḵ טָרֹ֣ף he has been torn to pieces ṭā·rōp̄ טֹרָ֑ף . . . . ” ṭō·rāp̄ וְלֹ֥א And I have not wə·lō רְאִיתִ֖יו seen him rə·’î·ṯîw עַד־ . . . ‘aḏ- הֵֽנָּה׃ since . hên·nāh Genesis 44:29 אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וּלְקַחְתֶּ֧ם Now if you also take ū·lə·qaḥ·tem גַּם־ - gam- זֶ֛ה this one zeh מֵעִ֥ם from mê·‘im פָּנַ֖י me pā·nay אָס֑וֹן and harm ’ā·sō·wn וְקָרָ֣הוּ comes to him , wə·qā·rā·hū שֵׂיבָתִ֛י you will bring my gray hair śê·ḇā·ṯî וְהֽוֹרַדְתֶּ֧ם down wə·hō·w·raḏ·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁאֹֽלָה׃ to Sheol šə·’ō·lāh בְּרָעָ֖ה in sorrow . ’ bə·rā·‘āh Genesis 44:30 וְעַתָּ֗ה So wə·‘at·tāh וְהַנַּ֖עַר if the boy wə·han·na·‘ar אֵינֶ֣נּוּ is not ’ê·nen·nū אִתָּ֑נוּ with us ’it·tā·nū כְּבֹאִי֙ when I return kə·ḇō·’î אֶל־ to ’el- עַבְדְּךָ֣ your servant , ‘aḇ·də·ḵā אָבִ֔י and [if] my father , ’ā·ḇî
