אָפִ֥יץ will scatter ’ā·p̄îṣ אֶתְכֶ֖ם you ’eṯ·ḵem בָּעַמִּֽים׃ among the nations , bā·‘am·mîm Nehemiah 1:9 וְשַׁבְתֶּ֣ם but [if] you return wə·šaḇ·tem אֵלַ֔י to Me ’ê·lay וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙ and keep ū·šə·mar·tem וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם and practice wa·‘ă·śî·ṯem אֹתָ֑ם - ’ō·ṯām מִצְוֺתַ֔י My commandments , miṣ·wō·ṯay אִם־ then even if ’im- נִֽדַּחֲכֶ֜ם your exiles nid·da·ḥă·ḵem יִהְיֶ֨ה have been yih·yeh בִּקְצֵ֤ה {banished} to the farthest biq·ṣêh הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ horizon , haš·šā·ma·yim אֲקַבְּצֵ֔ם I will gather them ’ă·qab·bə·ṣêm מִשָּׁ֣ם from there miš·šām וַהֲבוֹאֹתִים and bring them wa·hă·ḇō·ʾō·ṯīm אֶל־ to ’el- הַמָּק֔וֹם the place ham·mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בָּחַ֔רְתִּי I have chosen bā·ḥar·tî לְשַׁכֵּ֥ן as a dwelling lə·šak·kên אֶת־ for ’eṯ- שְׁמִ֖י My Name . ’ šə·mî שָֽׁם׃ šām Nehemiah 1:10 וְהֵ֥ם They wə·hêm עֲבָדֶ֖יךָ are Your servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā וְעַמֶּ֑ךָ and Your people . wə·‘am·me·ḵā פָּדִ֙יתָ֙ You redeemed pā·ḏî·ṯā אֲשֶׁ֤ר them ’ă·šer הַגָּד֔וֹל by Your great hag·gā·ḏō·wl בְּכֹחֲךָ֣ power bə·ḵō·ḥă·ḵā הַחֲזָקָֽה׃ and mighty ha·ḥă·zā·qāh וּבְיָדְךָ֖ hand . ū·ḇə·yā·ḏə·ḵā Nehemiah 1:11 אֲדֹנָ֗י O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy אָנָּ֣א - ’ān·nā אָזְנְךָֽ־ may Your ear ’ā·zə·nə·ḵā- תְּהִ֣י be tə·hî נָ֣א . . . nā קַ֠שֶּׁבֶת attentive qaš·še·ḇeṯ אֶל־ to ’el- תְּפִלַּ֨ת [my] prayer tə·p̄il·laṯ עַבְדְּךָ֜ . . . ‘aḇ·də·ḵā וְאֶל־ and to wə·’el- תְּפִלַּ֣ת the prayers tə·p̄il·laṯ עֲבָדֶ֗יךָ of Your servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā הַֽחֲפֵצִים֙ who delight ha·ḥă·p̄ê·ṣîm לְיִרְאָ֣ה to revere lə·yir·’āh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמֶ֔ךָ Your name . šə·me·ḵā לְעַבְדְּךָ֙ Give Your servant lə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā וְהַצְלִֽיחָה־ success wə·haṣ·lî·ḥāh- הַיּ֔וֹם this day , hay·yō·wm נָּ֤א I pray , nā וּתְנֵ֣הוּ and grant him ū·ṯə·nê·hū לְרַחֲמִ֔ים mercy lə·ra·ḥă·mîm לִפְנֵ֖י in the sight lip̄·nê הַזֶּ֑ה of this haz·zeh הָאִ֣ישׁ man . ” hā·’îš וַאֲנִ֛י ( At that time I wa·’ă·nî הָיִ֥יתִי was hā·yî·ṯî מַשְׁקֶ֖ה the cupbearer maš·qeh לַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃פ to the king .) lam·me·leḵ Nehemiah 2:1 וַיְהִ֣י׀ Now way·hî בְּחֹ֣דֶשׁ in the month bə·ḥō·ḏeš נִיסָ֗ן of Nisan , nî·sān עֶשְׂרִ֛ים in the twentieth ‘eś·rîm שְׁנַ֥ת year šə·naṯ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ of King ham·me·leḵ לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁ֥סְתְּא Artaxerxes , lə·’ar·taḥ·šast יַ֣יִן when wine ya·yin לְפָנָ֑יו was set before him , lə·p̄ā·nāw וָאֶשָּׂ֤א I took wā·’eś·śā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַיַּ֙יִן֙ the wine hay·ya·yin וָאֶתְּנָ֣ה and gave wā·’et·tə·nāh לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ it to the king . lam·me·leḵ וְלֹא־ I had never wə·lō- הָיִ֥יתִי been hā·yî·ṯî רַ֖ע sad ra‘ לְפָנָֽיו׃ in his presence , lə·p̄ā·nāw Nehemiah 2:2 הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ so the king ham·me·leḵ וַיֹּאמֶר֩ said way·yō·mer לִ֨י to me , lî מַדּ֣וּעַ׀ “ Why [is] mad·dū·a‘
