הַ֨גּוֹיִ֔ם the nations hag·gō·w·yim אֲשֶׁר֙ that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh הִשְׁמִ֣יד had destroyed hiš·mîḏ מִפְּנֵ֖י before mip·pə·nê בְּנֵ֥י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ . . . . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Chronicles 33:10 יְהוָ֛ה And YHWH Yah·weh וַיְדַבֵּ֧ר spoke way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה Manasseh mə·naš·šeh וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- עַמּ֖וֹ and his people , ‘am·mōw וְלֹ֥א but they did not wə·lō הִקְשִֽׁיבוּ׃ listen . hiq·šî·ḇū 2 Chronicles 33:11 יְהוָ֜ה So [YHWH] Yah·weh וַיָּבֵ֨א brought way·yā·ḇê עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם against them ‘ă·lê·hem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַצָּבָא֙ the military haṣ·ṣā·ḇā אֲשֶׁר֙ - ’ă·šer שָׂרֵ֤י commanders śā·rê לְמֶ֣לֶךְ of the king lə·me·leḵ אַשּׁ֔וּר of Assyria , ’aš·šūr וַיִּלְכְּד֥וּ who captured way·yil·kə·ḏū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה Manasseh , mə·naš·šeh בַּחֹחִ֑ים put a hook in his nose , ba·ḥō·ḥîm וַיַּֽאַסְרֻ֙הוּ֙ bound him way·ya·’as·ru·hū בַּֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִם with bronze shackles , ban·ḥuš·ta·yim וַיּוֹלִיכֻ֖הוּ and took him way·yō·w·lî·ḵu·hū בָּבֶֽלָה׃ to Babylon . bā·ḇe·lāh 2 Chronicles 33:12 וּכְהָצֵ֣ר And in his distress ū·ḵə·hā·ṣêr ל֔וֹ , lōw חִלָּ֕ה [Manasseh] sought ḥil·lāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- פְּנֵ֖י the favor pə·nê יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֑יו his God ’ĕ·lō·hāw מְאֹ֔ד and earnestly mə·’ōḏ וַיִּכָּנַ֣ע humbled himself way·yik·kā·na‘ מִלִּפְנֵ֖י before mil·lip̄·nê אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲבֹתָֽיו׃ of his fathers . ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw 2 Chronicles 33:13 וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֣ל And when he prayed way·yiṯ·pal·lêl אֵלָ֗יו to Him , ’ê·lāw וַיֵּעָ֤תֶר YHWH received his plea way·yê·‘ā·ṯer לוֹ֙ lōw וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע and heard way·yiš·ma‘ תְּחִנָּת֔וֹ his petition ; tə·ḥin·nā·ṯōw וַיְשִׁיבֵ֥הוּ so He brought him back way·šî·ḇê·hū יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם to Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim לְמַלְכוּת֑וֹ and to his kingdom . lə·mal·ḵū·ṯōw מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה Then Manasseh mə·naš·šeh וַיֵּ֣דַע knew way·yê·ḏa‘ כִּ֥י that kî יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh ה֥וּא . . . hū הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃ is God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm 2 Chronicles 33:14 וְאַחֲרֵי־ After wə·’a·ḥă·rê- כֵ֡ן this , ḵên בָּנָ֣ה [Manasseh] rebuilt bā·nāh חִֽיצוֹנָ֣ה׀ the outer ḥî·ṣō·w·nāh חוֹמָ֣ה wall ḥō·w·māh לְעִיר־ of the City lə·‘îr- דָּוִ֡יד of David dā·wîḏ מַעְרָבָה֩ from west ma‘·rā·ḇāh לְגִיח֨וֹן of Gihon lə·ḡî·ḥō·wn בַּנַּ֜חַל in the valley ban·na·ḥal וְלָב֨וֹא to the entrance wə·lā·ḇō·w הַדָּגִים֙ of the Fish had·dā·ḡîm בְשַׁ֤עַר Gate , ḇə·ša·‘ar וְסָבַ֣ב and he brought it around wə·sā·ḇaḇ לָעֹ֔פֶל the [hill of] Ophel lā·‘ō·p̄el וַיַּגְבִּיהֶ֖הָ and heightened it way·yaḡ·bî·he·hā מְאֹ֑ד considerably . mə·’ōḏ וַיָּ֧שֶׂם He also stationed way·yā·śem חַ֛יִל military ḥa·yil שָֽׂרֵי־ commanders śā·rê- בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl הַבְּצֻר֖וֹת the fortified hab·bə·ṣu·rō·wṯ הֶעָרִ֥ים cities he·‘ā·rîm בִּיהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah . bî·hū·ḏāh
