אֶל־ against ’el- אֲלֵהֶ֗ם ’ă·lê·hem רָמֹ֥ת Ramoth-gilead , rā·mōṯ גִּלְעָ֛ד . . . gil·‘āḏ אִם־ or ’im- אֶחְדָּ֑ל should we refrain ? ” ’eḥ·dāl עֲלֵ֔ה “ Go up , ” ‘ă·lêh וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ they replied , way·yō·mə·rū הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים “ and God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וְיִתֵּ֥ן will deliver it wə·yit·tên בְּיַ֥ד into the hand bə·yaḏ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ of the king .” ham·me·leḵ 2 Chronicles 18:6 יְה֣וֹשָׁפָ֔ט But Jehoshaphat yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ asked , way·yō·mer הַאֵ֨ין “ Is there not ha·’ên ע֑וֹד still ‘ō·wḏ נָבִ֛יא a prophet nā·ḇî לַיהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh פֹּ֥ה here pōh מֵאֹתֽוֹ׃ of whom we can inquire mê·’ō·ṯōw וְנִדְרְשָׁ֖ה . . . ? ” wə·niḏ·rə·šāh 2 Chronicles 18:7 מֶֽלֶךְ־ The king me·leḵ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל׀ of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיֹּ֣אמֶר answered way·yō·mer אֶֽל־ ’el- יְהוֹשָׁפָ֡ט - , yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ ע֣וֹד “ There is still ‘ō·wḏ אֶחָ֡ד one ’e·ḥāḏ אִישׁ־ man ’îš- לִדְרוֹשׁ֩ who can ask liḏ·rō·wōš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֨ה YHWH , Yah·weh מֵֽאֹת֜וֹ - mê·’ō·ṯōw וַאֲנִ֣י but I wa·’ă·nî שְׂנֵאתִ֗יהוּ hate him śə·nê·ṯî·hū כִּֽי־ because kî- אֵ֠ינֶנּוּ he never ’ê·nen·nū מִתְנַבֵּ֨א prophesies miṯ·nab·bê לְטוֹבָה֙ anything good lə·ṭō·w·ḇāh עָלַ֤י for me , ‘ā·lay כִּ֣י but only kî כָל־ ḵāl יָמָ֣יו yā·māw לְרָעָ֔ה bad . lə·rā·‘āh ה֖וּא He hū מִיכָ֣יְהוּ is Micaiah mî·ḵā·yə·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- יִמְלָ֑א of Imlah .” yim·lā הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ “ The king ham·me·leḵ אַל־ should not ’al- וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ say way·yō·mer כֵּֽן׃ that ! ” kên יְה֣וֹשָׁפָ֔ט Jehoshaphat yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ יֹאמַ֥ר replied . yō·mar 2 Chronicles 18:8 מֶ֣לֶךְ So the king me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֶל־ . . . ’el- וַיִּקְרָא֙ called way·yiq·rā אֶחָ֑ד one ’e·ḥāḏ סָרִ֖יס of his officials sā·rîs וַיֹּ֕אמֶר and said , way·yō·mer מַהֵ֖ר “ Bring ma·hêr מִיכָהוּ Micaiah mī·ḵå̄·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- יִמְלָֽא׃ of Imlah {at once} . ” yim·lā 2 Chronicles 18:9 מְלֻבָּשִׁ֤ים Dressed mə·lub·bā·šîm בְּגָדִים֙ in royal attire , bə·ḡā·ḏîm וּמֶ֣לֶךְ the king ū·me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט and Jehoshaphat wî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- יְהוּדָ֡ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh אִ֨ישׁ vvv ’îš יוֹשְׁבִים֩ were sitting yō·wō·šə·ḇîm עַל־ on ‘al- כִּסְא֜וֹ their thrones kis·’ōw וְיֹשְׁבִ֣ים - wə·yō·šə·ḇîm בְּגֹ֔רֶן at the threshing floor bə·ḡō·ren פֶּ֖תַח by the entrance pe·ṯaḥ שַׁ֣עַר of the gate ša·‘ar שֹׁמְר֑וֹן of Samaria , šō·mə·rō·wn וְכָל־ with all wə·ḵāl הַ֨נְּבִיאִ֔ים the prophets han·nə·ḇî·’îm מִֽתְנַבְּאִ֖ים prophesying miṯ·nab·bə·’îm לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃ before them . lip̄·nê·hem
