עַל־ on ‘al- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh נְתָנָ֥ם He delivered them nə·ṯā·nām בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃ into your hand . bə·yā·ḏe·ḵā 2 Chronicles 16:9 כִּ֣י For kî עֵינָ֞יו the eyes ‘ê·nāw יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh מְשֹׁטְט֤וֹת roam to and fro mə·šō·ṭə·ṭō·wṯ בְּכָל־ over all bə·ḵāl הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ the earth , hā·’ā·reṣ לְ֠הִתְחַזֵּק to show Himself strong lə·hiṯ·ḥaz·zêq עִם־ on behalf of [those] ‘im- לְבָבָ֥ם whose hearts lə·ḇā·ḇām שָׁלֵ֛ם are fully devoted šā·lêm אֵלָ֖יו to Him . ’ê·lāw נִסְכַּ֣לְתָּ You have acted foolishly nis·kal·tā עַל־ in ‘al- זֹ֑את this matter . zōṯ מֵעַ֔תָּה From now on , mê·‘at·tāh כִּ֣י therefore , kî יֵ֥שׁ you will be at yêš עִמְּךָ֖ . . . ‘im·mə·ḵā מִלְחָמֽוֹת׃ war .” mil·ḥā·mō·wṯ 2 Chronicles 16:10 אָסָ֜א Asa ’ā·sā וַיִּכְעַ֨ס was angry way·yiḵ·‘as אֶל־ with ’el- הָרֹאֶ֗ה the seer hā·rō·’eh כִּֽי־ [and became] kî- בְזַ֥עַף so enraged ḇə·za·‘ap̄ עִמּ֖וֹ . . . ‘im·mōw עַל־ over ‘al- זֹ֑את this matter zōṯ וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֙הוּ֙ that he put [the man] way·yit·tə·nê·hū בֵּ֣ית in prison bêṯ הַמַּהְפֶּ֔כֶת . . . . ham·mah·pe·ḵeṯ הַהִֽיא׃ And at the same ha·hî בָּעֵ֥ת time bā·‘êṯ אָסָ֛א Asa ’ā·sā וַיְרַצֵּ֥ץ oppressed way·raṣ·ṣêṣ מִן־ some of min- הָעָ֖ם the people . hā·‘ām 2 Chronicles 16:11 וְהִנֵּה֙ Now the rest wə·hin·nêh דִּבְרֵ֣י of the acts diḇ·rê אָסָ֔א of Asa , ’ā·sā הָרִאשׁוֹנִ֖ים from beginning hā·ri·šō·w·nîm וְהָאַחֲרוֹנִ֑ים to end , wə·hā·’a·ḥă·rō·w·nîm הִנָּ֤ם are indeed hin·nām כְּתוּבִים֙ written kə·ṯū·ḇîm עַל־ in ‘al- סֵ֣פֶר the Book sê·p̄er הַמְּלָכִ֔ים of the Kings ham·mə·lā·ḵîm לִיהוּדָ֖ה of Judah lî·hū·ḏāh וְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ and Israel . wə·yiś·rā·’êl 2 Chronicles 16:12 שְׁלוֹשִׁ֨ים In the thirty-ninth šə·lō·wō·šîm וָתֵ֤שַׁע . . . wā·ṯê·ša‘ בִּשְׁנַת֩ year biš·naṯ לְמַלְכוּתוֹ֙ of his reign , lə·mal·ḵū·ṯōw אָסָ֡א Asa ’ā·sā וַיֶּחֱלֶ֣א became diseased way·ye·ḥĕ·le בְּרַגְלָ֔יו in his feet , bə·raḡ·lāw עַד־ and ‘aḏ- חָלְי֑וֹ his malady ḥā·lə·yōw לְמַ֖עְלָה became increasingly severe . lə·ma‘·lāh וְגַם־ Yet even wə·ḡam- בְּחָלְיוֹ֙ in his illness bə·ḥā·lə·yōw לֹא־ he did not lō- דָרַ֣שׁ seek ḏā·raš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh כִּ֖י but kî בָּרֹפְאִֽים׃ only the physicians . bā·rō·p̄ə·’îm 2 Chronicles 16:13 אַרְבָּעִ֥ים So in the forty-first ’ar·bā·‘îm וְאַחַ֖ת . . . wə·’a·ḥaṯ בִּשְׁנַ֛ת year biš·naṯ לְמָלְכֽוֹ׃ of his reign , lə·mā·lə·ḵōw אָסָ֖א Asa ’ā·sā וַיָּ֕מָת died way·yā·māṯ וַיִּשְׁכַּ֥ב and rested way·yiš·kaḇ עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָ֑יו his fathers . ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw 2 Chronicles 16:14 וַיִּקְבְּרֻ֣הוּ And he was buried way·yiq·bə·ru·hū בְקִבְרֹתָ֗יו in the tomb ḇə·qiḇ·rō·ṯāw
