יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar אַתֶּם֙ ‘ You ’at·tem עֲזַבְתֶּ֣ם have forsaken Me ; ‘ă·zaḇ·tem אֹתִ֔י - ’ō·ṯî וְאַף־ therefore , wə·’ap̄- אֲנִ֛י I ’ă·nî עָזַ֥בְתִּי have forsaken ‘ā·zaḇ·tî אֶתְכֶ֖ם you ’eṯ·ḵem בְּיַד־ into the hand bə·yaḏ- שִׁישָֽׁק׃ of Shishak . ’” šî·šāq 2 Chronicles 12:6 שָׂרֵֽי־ So the leaders śā·rê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וְהַמֶּ֑לֶךְ and the king wə·ham·me·leḵ וַיִּכָּנְע֥וּ humbled themselves way·yik·kā·nə·‘ū וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ and said , way·yō·mə·rū יְהוָֽה׃ “ YHWH [is] Yah·weh צַדִּ֥יק׀ righteous .” ṣad·dîq 2 Chronicles 12:7 יְהוָה֙ When YHWH Yah·weh וּבִרְא֤וֹת saw ū·ḇir·’ō·wṯ כִּ֣י that kî נִכְנָ֔עוּ they had humbled themselves , niḵ·nā·‘ū דְבַר־ the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֨ה of YHWH Yah·weh הָיָה֩ came hā·yāh אֶל־ to ’el- שְׁמַֽעְיָ֧ה׀ Shemaiah , šə·ma‘·yāh לֵאמֹ֛ר saying , lê·mōr נִכְנְע֖וּ “ They have humbled themselves ; niḵ·nə·‘ū לֹ֣א I will not lō אַשְׁחִיתֵ֑ם destroy them , ’aš·ḥî·ṯêm וְנָתַתִּ֨י but will soon grant wə·nā·ṯat·tî כִּמְעַט֙ . . . kim·‘aṭ לָהֶ֤ם them lā·hem לִפְלֵיטָ֔ה deliverance . lip̄·lê·ṭāh חֲמָתִ֛י My wrath ḥă·mā·ṯî וְלֹא־ will not wə·lō- תִתַּ֧ךְ be poured out ṯit·taḵ בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם on Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim בְּיַד־ through bə·yaḏ- שִׁישָֽׁק׃ Shishak . šî·šāq 2 Chronicles 12:8 כִּ֥י Nevertheless , kî יִהְיוּ־ they will become yih·yū- ל֖וֹ his lōw לַעֲבָדִ֑ים servants , la·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm וְיֵדְעוּ֙ so that they may learn wə·yê·ḏə·‘ū עֲב֣וֹדָתִ֔י the difference between serving Me ‘ă·ḇō·w·ḏā·ṯî וַעֲבוֹדַ֖ת and serving wa·‘ă·ḇō·w·ḏaṯ מַמְלְכ֥וֹת the kings mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ס of other lands .” hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ 2 Chronicles 12:9 מֶֽלֶךְ־ So King me·leḵ- שִׁישַׁ֥ק Shishak šî·šaq מִצְרַיִם֮ of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וַיַּ֨עַל attacked way·ya·‘al עַל־ . . . ‘al- יְרוּשָׁלִַם֒ Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim וַיִּקַּ֞ח and seized way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֹצְר֣וֹת the treasures ’ō·ṣə·rō·wṯ בֵּית־ of the house bêṯ- יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- אֹֽצְרוֹת֙ - ’ō·ṣə·rō·wṯ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ of the royal ham·me·leḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּ֣ית palace . bêṯ לָקָ֑ח He took lā·qāḥ הַכֹּ֖ל everything , hak·kōl וַיִּקַּח֙ [including] way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזָּהָ֔ב the gold haz·zā·hāḇ מָגִנֵּ֣י shields mā·ḡin·nê אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ Solomon šə·lō·mōh עָשָׂ֖ה had made . ‘ā·śāh 2 Chronicles 12:10 הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ Then King ham·me·leḵ רְחַבְעָם֙ Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām וַיַּ֨עַשׂ made way·ya·‘aś נְחֹ֑שֶׁת bronze nə·ḥō·šeṯ מָגִנֵּ֖י shields mā·ḡin·nê תַּחְתֵּיהֶ֔ם in their place taḥ·tê·hem וְהִפְקִ֗יד and committed them wə·hip̄·qîḏ עַל־ to ‘al- יַד֙ the care yaḏ שָׂרֵ֣י of the captains śā·rê
