אֶל־ to ’el- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king , ham·me·leḵ הַדָּבָ֔ר “ The report had·dā·ḇār אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי I heard šā·ma‘·tî בְּאַרְצִ֑י in my own country bə·’ar·ṣî עַל־ about ‘al- דְּבָרֶ֖יךָ your words də·ḇā·re·ḵā וְעַל־ [and] wə·‘al- חָכְמָתֶֽךָ׃ wisdom ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯe·ḵā אֱמֶת֙ is true . ’ĕ·meṯ 2 Chronicles 9:6 וְלֹֽא־ But I did not wə·lō- הֶאֱמַ֣נְתִּי believe he·’ĕ·man·tî לְדִבְרֵיהֶ֗ם the reports lə·ḏiḇ·rê·hem עַ֤ד until ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- בָּ֙אתִי֙ I came bā·ṯî וַתִּרְאֶ֣ינָה and saw wat·tir·’e·nāh עֵינַ֔י with my own eyes . ‘ê·nay וְהִנֵּה֙ Indeed , wə·hin·nêh לֹ֣א not lō חֲצִ֖י half ḥă·ṣî מַרְבִּ֣ית of the greatness mar·bîṯ חָכְמָתֶ֑ךָ of your wisdom ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯe·ḵā הֻגַּד־ was told hug·gaḏ- לִ֔י to me . lî יָסַ֕פְתָּ You have far exceeded yā·sap̄·tā עַל־ . . . ‘al- הַשְּׁמוּעָ֖ה the report haš·šə·mū·‘āh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer שָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃ I heard . šā·mā·‘ə·tî 2 Chronicles 9:7 אַשְׁרֵ֣י How blessed ’aš·rê אֲנָשֶׁ֔יךָ are your men ! ’ă·nā·še·ḵā וְאַשְׁרֵ֖י How blessed wə·’aš·rê אֵ֑לֶּה are these ’êl·leh עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ servants of yours ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā הָעֹמְדִ֤ים who stand hā·‘ō·mə·ḏîm תָּמִ֔יד continually tā·mîḏ לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ before you lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וְשֹׁמְעִ֖ים and hear wə·šō·mə·‘îm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חָכְמָתֶֽךָ׃ your wisdom ! ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯe·ḵā 2 Chronicles 9:8 בָּר֔וּךְ Blessed bā·rūḵ יְהִ֨י be yə·hî יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ your God , ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ who ’ă·šer חָפֵ֣ץ has delighted ḥā·p̄êṣ בְּךָ֗ in you bə·ḵā לְתִתְּךָ֤ to set lə·ṯit·tə·ḵā עַל־ you on ‘al- כִּסְאוֹ֙ His throne kis·’ōw לְמֶ֔לֶךְ [to be] king lə·me·leḵ לַיהוָ֖ה for YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God . ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā אֱלֹהֶ֤יךָ Because your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā בְּאַהֲבַ֨ת loved bə·’a·hă·ḇaṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel yiś·rā·’êl לְהַעֲמִיד֣וֹ enough to establish them lə·ha·‘ă·mî·ḏōw לְעוֹלָ֔ם forever , lə·‘ō·w·lām וַיִּתֶּנְךָ֤ He has made you way·yit·ten·ḵā לְמֶ֔לֶךְ king lə·me·leḵ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ over them ‘ă·lê·hem לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת to carry out la·‘ă·śō·wṯ מִשְׁפָּ֥ט justice miš·pāṭ וּצְדָקָֽה׃ and righteousness .” ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh 2 Chronicles 9:9 וַתִּתֵּ֨ן Then she gave wat·tit·tên לַמֶּ֜לֶךְ the king lam·me·leḵ מֵאָ֥ה 120 mê·’āh וְעֶשְׂרִ֣ים׀ . . . wə·‘eś·rîm כִּכַּ֣ר talents kik·kar זָהָ֗ב of gold , zā·hāḇ לָרֹ֥ב a great quantity of lā·rōḇ מְאֹ֖ד . . . mə·’ōḏ וּבְשָׂמִ֛ים spices , ū·ḇə·śā·mîm יְקָרָ֑ה and precious yə·qā·rāh וְאֶ֣בֶן stones . wə·’e·ḇen הָיָה֙ There had never been hā·yāh וְלֹ֤א . . . wə·lō הַה֔וּא such ha·hū כַּבֹּ֣שֶׂם spices kab·bō·śem אֲשֶׁר־ as those ’ă·šer- מַֽלְכַּת־ the queen mal·kaṯ- שְׁבָ֖א of Sheba šə·ḇā נָתְנָ֥ה gave nā·ṯə·nāh לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ to King lam·me·leḵ שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ Solomon . šə·lō·mōh
