וְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ and they return wə·šā·ḇū לָ֑ךְ to You lāḵ וְהוֹד֣וּ and confess wə·hō·w·ḏū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמֶ֔ךָ Your name , šə·me·ḵā וְהִתְפַּֽלְל֧וּ praying wə·hiṯ·pal·lū וְהִֽתְחַנְּנ֛וּ and pleading wə·hiṯ·ḥan·nə·nū לְפָנֶ֖יךָ before You lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā הַזֶּֽה׃ in this haz·zeh בַּבַּ֥יִת temple , bab·ba·yiṯ 2 Chronicles 6:25 וְאַתָּה֙ then may You wə·’at·tāh תִּשְׁמַ֣ע hear tiš·ma‘ מִן־ from min- הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם heaven haš·šā·ma·yim וְסָ֣לַחְתָּ֔ and forgive wə·sā·laḥ·tā לְחַטַּ֖את the sin lə·ḥaṭ·ṭaṯ עַמְּךָ֣ of Your people ‘am·mə·ḵā יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel . yiś·rā·’êl וַהֲשֵׁיבוֹתָם֙ May You restore them wa·hă·šê·ḇō·w·ṯām אֶל־ to ’el- הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- נָתַ֥תָּה You gave nā·ṯat·tāh לָהֶ֖ם to them lā·hem וְלַאֲבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃פ and their fathers . wə·la·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·hem 2 Chronicles 6:26 הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם When the skies haš·šā·ma·yim בְּהֵעָצֵ֧ר are shut bə·hê·‘ā·ṣêr יִהְיֶ֥ה and there is yih·yeh וְלֹֽא־ no wə·lō- מָטָ֖ר rain mā·ṭār כִּ֣י because kî יֶֽחֶטְאוּ־ [Your people] have sinned ye·ḥeṭ·’ū- לָ֑ךְ against You , lāḵ וְהִֽתְפַּלְל֞וּ and they pray wə·hiṯ·pal·lū אֶל־ toward ’el- הַזֶּה֙ this haz·zeh הַמָּק֤וֹם place ham·mā·qō·wm וְהוֹד֣וּ and confess wə·hō·w·ḏū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמֶ֔ךָ Your name , šə·me·ḵā יְשׁוּב֖וּן and they turn yə·šū·ḇūn מֵחַטָּאתָ֥ם from their sins mê·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām כִּ֥י because kî תַעֲנֵֽם׃ You have afflicted them , ṯa·‘ă·nêm 2 Chronicles 6:27 וְאַתָּ֣ה׀ then may You wə·’at·tāh תִּשְׁמַ֣ע hear tiš·ma‘ הַשָּׁמַ֗יִם from heaven haš·šā·ma·yim וְסָ֨לַחְתָּ֜ and forgive wə·sā·laḥ·tā לְחַטַּ֤את the sin lə·ḥaṭ·ṭaṯ עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ of Your servants , ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā וְעַמְּךָ֣ Your people wə·‘am·mə·ḵā יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl כִּ֥י so that kî תוֹרֵ֛ם You may teach them ṯō·w·rêm אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַטּוֹבָ֖ה the good haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh הַדֶּ֥רֶךְ way had·de·reḵ אֲשֶׁ֣ר in which ’ă·šer יֵֽלְכוּ־ they should walk yê·lə·ḵū- בָ֑הּ . ḇāh וְנָתַתָּ֤ה May You send wə·nā·ṯat·tāh מָטָר֙ rain mā·ṭār עַֽל־ on ‘al- אַרְצְךָ֔ the land ’ar·ṣə·ḵā אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נָתַ֥תָּה You gave nā·ṯat·tāh לְעַמְּךָ֖ Your people lə·‘am·mə·ḵā לְנַחֲלָֽה׃ס as an inheritance . lə·na·ḥă·lāh 2 Chronicles 6:28 כִּֽי־ When kî- רָעָ֞ב famine rā·‘āḇ כִּֽי־ [or] kî- יִֽ֠הְיֶה yih·yeh דֶּ֣בֶר plague de·ḇer יִהְיֶ֣ה comes yih·yeh בָאָ֗רֶץ upon the land , ḇā·’ā·reṣ שִׁדָּפ֨וֹן [or] blight šid·dā·p̄ō·wn וְיֵרָק֜וֹן [or] mildew wə·yê·rā·qō·wn אַרְבֶּ֤ה [or] locusts ’ar·beh וְחָסִיל֙ [or] grasshoppers , wə·ḥā·sîl כִּ֣י kî יִהְיֶ֔ה - yih·yeh כִּ֧י [or] when kî אוֹיְבָ֖יו their enemies ’ō·wy·ḇāw יָֽצַר־ besiege yā·ṣar- ל֛וֹ them lōw בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in bə·’e·reṣ שְׁעָרָ֑יו their cities , šə·‘ā·rāw כָּל־ whatever kāl-
