אָבִ֔י my father ’ā·ḇî אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- דָּוִ֣יד David . dā·wîḏ וַתְּדַבֵּ֥ר What You spoke wat·tə·ḏab·bêr בְּפִ֛יךָ with Your mouth bə·p̄î·ḵā מִלֵּ֖אתָ You have fulfilled mil·lê·ṯā וּבְיָדְךָ֥ with Your hand ū·ḇə·yā·ḏə·ḵā הַזֶּֽה׃ this haz·zeh כַּיּ֥וֹם day . kay·yō·wm 2 Chronicles 6:16 וְעַתָּ֞ה Therefore now , wə·‘at·tāh יְהוָ֣ה׀ O YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl שְׁ֠מֹר keep mōr לְעַבְדְּךָ֨ for Your servant , lə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā אָבִי֙ my father ’ā·ḇî אֵת֩ - ’êṯ דָוִ֤יד David , ḏā·wîḏ אֲשֶׁ֨ר what ’ă·šer דִּבַּ֤רְתָּ You promised dib·bar·tā לּוֹ֙ lōw לֵאמֹ֔ר when You said : lê·mōr לֹא־ ‘ You will never lō- יִכָּרֵ֨ת fail yik·kā·rêṯ לְךָ֥ lə·ḵā אִישׁ֙ to have a man ’îš יוֹשֵׁ֖ב to sit yō·wō·šêḇ מִלְּפָנַ֔י before Me mil·lə·p̄ā·nay עַל־ on ‘al- כִּסֵּ֣א the throne kis·sê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אִם־ if ’im- רַ֠ק only raq בָנֶ֜יךָ your descendants ḇā·ne·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׁמְר֨וּ guard yiš·mə·rū דַּרְכָּ֗ם their way dar·kām לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ to walk lā·le·ḵeṯ בְּת֣וֹרָתִ֔י in My law bə·ṯō·w·rā·ṯî כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer הָלַ֖כְתָּ you have walked hā·laḵ·tā לְפָנָֽי׃ before Me . ’ lə·p̄ā·nāy 2 Chronicles 6:17 וְעַתָּ֕ה And now , wə·‘at·tāh יְהוָ֖ה O YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl יֵֽאָמֵן֙ please confirm yê·’ā·mên דְּבָ֣רְךָ֔ . . . də·ḇā·rə·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֥ר what ’ă·šer דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ You promised dib·bar·tā לְעַבְדְּךָ֥ to Your servant lə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā לְדָוִֽיד׃ David . lə·ḏā·wîḏ 2 Chronicles 6:18 כִּ֚י But kî אֱלֹהִ֛ים will God ’ĕ·lō·hîm הַֽאֻמְנָ֔ם indeed ha·’um·nām יֵשֵׁ֧ב dwell yê·šêḇ אֶת־ with ’eṯ- הָאָדָ֖ם man hā·’ā·ḏām עַל־ upon ‘al- הָאָ֑רֶץ the earth ? hā·’ā·reṣ הִ֠נֵּה Even hin·nêh שָׁמַ֜יִם heaven , šā·ma·yim וּשְׁמֵ֤י the highest heaven ū·šə·mê הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ . . . , haš·šā·ma·yim לֹ֣א cannot lō יְכַלְכְּל֔וּךָ contain You , yə·ḵal·kə·lū·ḵā אַ֕ף much less ’ap̄ כִּֽי־ . . . kî- הַזֶּ֖ה this haz·zeh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer הַבַּ֥יִת temple hab·ba·yiṯ בָּנִֽיתִי׃ I have built . bā·nî·ṯî 2 Chronicles 6:19 וּפָנִ֜יתָ Yet regard ū·p̄ā·nî·ṯā אֶל־ ’el- תְּפִלַּ֧ת the prayer tə·p̄il·laṯ וְאֶל־ and wə·’el- תְּחִנָּת֖וֹ plea tə·ḥin·nā·ṯōw עַבְדְּךָ֛ of Your servant , ‘aḇ·də·ḵā יְהוָ֣ה O YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֑י my God , ’ĕ·lō·hāy לִשְׁמֹ֤עַ so that You may hear liš·mō·a‘ אֶל־ . . . ’el- הָרִנָּה֙ the cry hā·rin·nāh וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- הַתְּפִלָּ֔ה and the prayer hat·tə·p̄il·lāh אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer עַבְדְּךָ֖ Your servant ‘aḇ·də·ḵā
