מִצְרַיִם֒ of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim לֹא־ I have not lō- בָחַ֣רְתִּֽי chosen ḇā·ḥar·tî בְעִ֗יר a city ḇə·‘îr מִכֹּל֙ from any mik·kōl שִׁבְטֵ֣י tribe šiḇ·ṭê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl לִבְנ֣וֹת [in which] to build liḇ·nō·wṯ בַּ֔יִת a house ba·yiṯ שְׁמִ֖י so that My Name šə·mî לִהְי֥וֹת would be lih·yō·wṯ שָׁ֑ם there , šām וְלֹא־ nor wə·lō- בָחַ֣רְתִּֽי have I chosen ḇā·ḥar·tî בְאִ֔ישׁ anyone ḇə·’îš לִהְי֥וֹת to be lih·yō·wṯ נָגִ֖יד ruler nā·ḡîḏ עַל־ over ‘al- עַמִּ֥י My people ‘am·mî יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Chronicles 6:6 וָאֶבְחַר֙ But now I have chosen wā·’eḇ·ḥar בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim שְׁמִ֖י for My Name šə·mî לִהְי֥וֹת to be lih·yō·wṯ שָׁ֑ם there , šām וָאֶבְחַ֣ר and I have chosen wā·’eḇ·ḥar בְּדָוִ֔יד David bə·ḏā·wîḏ לִהְי֖וֹת to be lih·yō·wṯ עַל־ over ‘al- עַמִּ֥י My people ‘am·mî יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . ’ yiś·rā·’êl 2 Chronicles 6:7 וַיְהִ֕י Now it was way·hî עִם־ in ‘im- לְבַ֖ב the heart lə·ḇaḇ אָבִ֑י of my father ’ā·ḇî דָּוִ֣יד David dā·wîḏ לִבְנ֣וֹת to build liḇ·nō·wṯ בַּ֔יִת a house ba·yiṯ לְשֵׁ֥ם for the Name lə·šêm יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Chronicles 6:8 יְהוָה֙ But YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- אָבִ֔י my father ’ā·ḇî דָּוִ֣יד David , dā·wîḏ יַ֗עַן ‘ Since ya·‘an אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer הָיָה֙ it was hā·yāh עִם־ in ‘im- לְבָ֣בְךָ֔ your heart lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā לִבְנ֥וֹת to build liḇ·nō·wṯ בַּ֖יִת a house ba·yiṯ לִשְׁמִ֑י for My Name , liš·mî הֱ you have done well hĕṭî·ḇō·w·ṯā כִּ֥י to have this kî הָיָ֖ה . . . hā·yāh עִם־ in ‘im- לְבָבֶֽךָ׃ your heart . lə·ḇā·ḇe·ḵā 2 Chronicles 6:9 רַ֣ק Nevertheless , raq אַתָּ֔ה you ’at·tāh לֹ֥א are not lō תִבְנֶ֖ה the one to build [it] ṯiḇ·neh הַבָּ֑יִת . . . ; hab·bā·yiṯ כִּ֤י but kî בִנְךָ֙ your son , ḇin·ḵā הַיּוֹצֵ֣א your own offspring hay·yō·w·ṣê מֵֽחֲלָצֶ֔יךָ . . . mê·ḥă·lā·ṣe·ḵā הֽוּא־ . . . , hū- יִבְנֶ֥ה will build yiḇ·neh הַבַּ֖יִת the house hab·ba·yiṯ לִשְׁמִֽי׃ for My Name . ’ liš·mî 2 Chronicles 6:10 יְהוָ֔ה Now YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ ’eṯ- וַיָּ֣קֶם has fulfilled way·yā·qem דְּבָר֖וֹ the word də·ḇā·rōw אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer דִּבֵּ֑ר He spoke . dib·bêr וָאָק֡וּם I have succeeded wā·’ā·qūm תַּחַת֩ . . . ta·ḥaṯ אָבִ֜י my father ’ā·ḇî דָּוִ֨יד David , dā·wîḏ וָאֵשֵׁ֣ב׀ and I sit wā·’ê·šêḇ עַל־ on ‘al-
