גֶ֖פֶן was a vine ḡe·p̄en לְפָנָֽי׃ before me , lə·p̄ā·nāy Genesis 40:10 וּבַגֶּ֖פֶן and on the vine ū·ḇag·ge·p̄en שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה were three šə·lō·šāh שָׂרִיגִ֑ם branches . śā·rî·ḡim וְהִ֤יא As it wə·hî כְפֹרַ֙חַת֙ budded , ḵə·p̄ō·ra·ḥaṯ נִצָּ֔הּ its blossoms niṣ·ṣāh עָלְתָ֣ה opened ‘ā·lə·ṯāh אַשְׁכְּלֹתֶ֖יהָ and its clusters ’aš·kə·lō·ṯe·hā הִבְשִׁ֥ילוּ ripened hiḇ·šî·lū עֲנָבִֽים׃ into grapes . ‘ă·nā·ḇîm Genesis 40:11 פַּרְעֹ֖ה Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh וְכ֥וֹס cup wə·ḵō·ws בְּיָדִ֑י was in my hand , bə·yā·ḏî וָאֶקַּ֣ח and I took wā·’eq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָֽעֲנָבִ֗ים the grapes , hā·‘ă·nā·ḇîm וָֽאֶשְׂחַ֤ט squeezed wā·’eś·ḥaṭ אֹתָם֙ them ’ō·ṯām אֶל־ into ’el- פַּרְעֹ֔ה [his] par·‘ōh כּ֣וֹס cup , kō·ws וָאֶתֵּ֥ן and placed wā·’et·tên אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַכּ֖וֹס the cup hak·kō·ws עַל־ in ‘al- פַּרְעֹֽה׃ [his] par·‘ōh כַּ֥ף hand . ” kap̄ Genesis 40:12 יוֹסֵ֔ף Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר replied way·yō·mer לוֹ֙ . . . , lōw זֶ֖ה “ This [is] zeh פִּתְרֹנ֑וֹ the interpretation : piṯ·rō·nōw שְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙ The three šə·lō·šeṯ הַשָּׂ֣רִגִ֔ים branches haś·śā·ri·ḡîm שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת are three šə·lō·šeṯ יָמִ֖ים days yā·mîm הֵֽם׃ . . . . hêm Genesis 40:13 בְּע֣וֹד׀ Within bə·‘ō·wḏ שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת three šə·lō·šeṯ יָמִ֗ים days yā·mîm פַרְעֹה֙ Pharaoh p̄ar·‘ōh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשָּׂ֤א will lift up yiś·śā רֹאשֶׁ֔ךָ your head rō·še·ḵā וַהֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֖ and restore wa·hă·šî·ḇə·ḵā עַל־ your ‘al- כַּנֶּ֑ךָ position . kan·ne·ḵā וְנָתַתָּ֤ You will put wə·nā·ṯa·tā פַּרְעֹה֙ Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh כוֹס־ cup ḵō·ws- בְּיָד֔וֹ in his hand , bə·yā·ḏōw כַּמִּשְׁפָּט֙ just as kam·miš·pāṭ הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן you did hā·ri·šō·wn אֲשֶׁ֥ר when ’ă·šer הָיִ֖יתָ you were hā·yî·ṯā מַשְׁקֵֽהוּ׃ his cupbearer . maš·qê·hū Genesis 40:14 כִּ֧י But kî אִם־ . . . ’im- כַּאֲשֶׁר֙ when ka·’ă·šer יִ֣יטַב it goes well yî·ṭaḇ לָ֔ךְ for you , lāḵ נָּ֥א please nā זְכַרְתַּ֣נִי remember zə·ḵar·ta·nî אִתְּךָ֗ me ’it·tə·ḵā וְעָשִֽׂיתָ־ and show wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā- עִמָּדִ֖י me ‘im·mā·ḏî חָ֑סֶד kindness ḥā·seḏ וְהִזְכַּרְתַּ֙נִי֙ by mentioning me wə·hiz·kar·ta·nî אֶל־ to ’el- פַּרְעֹ֔ה Pharaoh , par·‘ōh וְהוֹצֵאתַ֖נִי that he might bring me out wə·hō·w·ṣê·ṯa·nî מִן־ of min- הַזֶּֽה׃ this haz·zeh הַבַּ֥יִת prison . hab·ba·yiṯ Genesis 40:15 כִּֽי־ For kî- גֻנֹּ֣ב I was kidnapped ḡun·nōḇ גֻּנַּ֔בְתִּי . . . gun·naḇ·tî מֵאֶ֖רֶץ from the land mê·’e·reṣ הָעִבְרִ֑ים of the Hebrews , hā·‘iḇ·rîm וְגַם־ and even wə·ḡam-
