Genesis 39:21 יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh וַיְהִ֤י was way·hî אֶת־ with ’eṯ- יוֹסֵ֔ף [him] yō·w·sêp̄ וַיֵּ֥ט and extended way·yêṭ חָ֑סֶד kindness ḥā·seḏ אֵלָ֖יו to him , ’ê·lāw וַיִּתֵּ֣ן granting him way·yit·tên חִנּ֔וֹ favor ḥin·nōw בְּעֵינֵ֖י in the eyes bə·‘ê·nê בֵּית־ of the prison bêṯ- הַסֹּֽהַר׃ . . . has·sō·har שַׂ֥ר warden . śar Genesis 39:22 שַׂ֤ר And the warden śar בֵּית־ . . . bêṯ- הַסֹּ֙הַר֙ . . . has·sō·har וַיִּתֵּ֞ן put way·yit·tên כָּל־ all kāl- הָ֣אֲסִירִ֔ם the prisoners hā·’ă·sî·rim אֲשֶׁ֖ר . . . ’ă·šer וְאֵ֨ת - wə·’êṯ יוֹסֵ֔ף under Joseph’s yō·w·sêp̄ אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ בְּיַד־ care , bə·yaḏ- ה֖וּא so that he hū הָיָ֥ה was hā·yāh עֹשִׂים֙ responsible ‘ō·śîm כָּל־ for all kāl- אֲשֶׁ֤ר that ’ă·šer עֹשֶֽׂה׃ was done ‘ō·śeh שָׁ֔ם - šām בְּבֵ֣ית in bə·ḇêṯ הַסֹּ֑הַר the prison . has·sō·har Genesis 39:23 שַׂ֣ר The warden śar בֵּית־ . . . bêṯ- הַסֹּ֗הַר . . . has·sō·har אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- אֵ֣ין׀ did not ’ên רֹאֶ֤ה concern himself rō·’eh כָּל־ with anything kāl- מְא֙וּמָה֙ . . . mə·’ū·māh בְּיָד֔וֹ under Joseph’s care , bə·yā·ḏōw בַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר because ba·’ă·šer יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אִתּ֑וֹ was with [Joseph] ’it·tōw יְהוָ֥ה - Yah·weh מַצְלִֽיחַ׃ס and gave him success maṣ·lî·aḥ וַֽאֲשֶׁר־ in whatever wa·’ă·šer- ה֥וּא he hū עֹשֶׂ֖ה did . ‘ō·śeh Genesis 40:1 וַיְהִ֗י - way·hî אַחַר֙ Some time later ’a·ḥar הַדְּבָרִ֣ים . . . had·də·ḇā·rîm הָאֵ֔לֶּה . . . , hā·’êl·leh מִצְרַ֖יִם - miṣ·ra·yim מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king’s me·leḵ- מַשְׁקֵ֥ה cupbearer maš·qêh וְהָאֹפֶ֑ה and baker wə·hā·’ō·p̄eh חָֽטְא֛וּ offended ḥā·ṭə·’ū לַאֲדֹנֵיהֶ֖ם their master , la·’ă·ḏō·nê·hem לְמֶ֥לֶךְ the king lə·me·leḵ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim Genesis 40:2 פַּרְעֹ֔ה Pharaoh par·‘ōh וַיִּקְצֹ֣ף was angry way·yiq·ṣōp̄ עַ֖ל with ‘al שְׁנֵ֣י his two šə·nê סָרִיסָ֑יו officers , sā·rî·sāw עַ֚ל . . . ‘al שַׂ֣ר the chief śar הַמַּשְׁקִ֔ים cupbearer ham·maš·qîm וְעַ֖ל . . . wə·‘al שַׂ֥ר and the chief śar הָאוֹפִֽים׃ baker , hā·’ō·w·p̄îm Genesis 40:3 וַיִּתֵּ֨ן and imprisoned them way·yit·tên אֹתָ֜ם - ’ō·ṯām בְּמִשְׁמַ֗ר - bə·miš·mar בֵּ֛ית in the house bêṯ שַׂ֥ר of the captain śar הַטַבָּחִ֖ים of the guard , ha·ṭab·bå̄·ḥīm בֵּ֣ית the same prison bêṯ הַסֹּ֑הַר . . . has·sō·har אֶל־ . . . ’el- מְק֕וֹם . . . mə·qō·wm
