אָסִיר֙ remove ’ā·sîr יְהוּדָה֙ Judah yə·hū·ḏāh מֵעַ֣ל from mê·‘al פָּנַ֔י My sight , pā·nay כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר just as ka·’ă·šer הֲסִרֹ֖תִי I removed hă·si·rō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel . yiś·rā·’êl וּ֠מָאַסְתִּי I will reject ū·mā·’as·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֹּ֤את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֨יר city hā·‘îr יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֲשֶׁר־ which ’ă·šer- בָּחַ֙רְתִּי֙ I chose , bā·ḥar·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבַּ֔יִת and the temple hab·ba·yiṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר of which ’ă·šer אָמַ֔רְתִּי I said , ’ā·mar·tî שְׁמִ֖י ‘ My Name šə·mî יִהְיֶ֥ה shall be yih·yeh שָֽׁם׃ there . ’” šām 2 Kings 23:28 וְיֶ֛תֶר As for the rest wə·ye·ṯer דִּבְרֵ֥י of the acts diḇ·rê יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ of Josiah , yō·šî·yā·hū וְכָל־ along with all wə·ḵāl אֲשֶׁ֣ר his accomplishments ’ă·šer עָשָׂ֑ה . . . , ‘ā·śāh הֵ֣ם are they hêm הֲלֹא־ not hă·lō- כְּתוּבִ֗ים written kə·ṯū·ḇîm עַל־ in ‘al- סֵ֛פֶר the Book sê·p̄er דִּבְרֵ֥י of the Chronicles diḇ·rê הַיָּמִ֖ים . . . hay·yā·mîm לְמַלְכֵ֥י of the Kings lə·mal·ḵê יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah ? yə·hū·ḏāh 2 Kings 23:29 בְּיָמָ֡יו At the end of [Josiah’s] reign , bə·yā·māw פַרְעֹ֨ה Pharaoh p̄ar·‘ōh נְכֹ֧ה Neco nə·ḵōh מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- מִצְרַ֛יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim עָלָה֩ marched up ‘ā·lāh עַל־ to ‘al- מֶ֥לֶךְ help the king me·leḵ אַשּׁ֖וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr עַל־ at ‘al- פְּרָ֑ת the Euphrates pə·rāṯ נְהַר־ River . nə·har- הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ יֹאשִׁיָּ֙הוּ֙ Josiah yō·šî·yā·hū וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ went out way·yê·leḵ לִקְרָאת֔וֹ to confront him , liq·rā·ṯōw כִּרְאֹת֖וֹ but [Neco] faced kir·’ō·ṯōw אֹתֽוֹ׃ him ’ō·ṯōw וַיְמִיתֵ֙הוּ֙ and killed him way·mî·ṯê·hū בִּמְגִדּ֔וֹ at Megiddo . bim·ḡid·dōw 2 Kings 23:30 מִמְּגִדּ֔וֹ From Megiddo mim·mə·ḡid·dōw עֲבָדָ֥יו his servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw מֵת֙ carried his body mêṯ וַיַּרְכִּבֻ֨הוּ in a chariot , way·yar·ki·ḇu·hū וַיְבִאֻ֙הוּ֙ brought him to way·ḇi·’u·hū יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֖הוּ and buried him way·yiq·bə·ru·hū בִּקְבֻֽרָת֑וֹ in his own tomb . biq·ḇu·rā·ṯōw עַם־ Then the people ‘am- הָאָ֗רֶץ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּקַּ֣ח took way·yiq·qaḥ יְהֽוֹאָחָז֙ Jehoahaz yə·hō·w·’ā·ḥāz בֶּן־ son ben- יֹ֣אשִׁיָּ֔הוּ of Josiah , yō·šî·yā·hū וַיִּמְשְׁח֥וּ anointed him , way·yim·šə·ḥū אֹת֛וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw וַיַּמְלִ֥יכוּ and made him king way·yam·lî·ḵū אֹת֖וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw תַּ֥חַת in place of ta·ḥaṯ אָבִֽיו׃פ his father . ’ā·ḇîw 2 Kings 23:31 יְהוֹאָחָ֣ז Jehoahaz yə·hō·w·’ā·ḥāz עֶשְׂרִ֨ים was twenty-three ‘eś·rîm וְשָׁלֹ֤שׁ . . . wə·šā·lōš בֶּן־ years old ben- שָׁנָה֙ . . . šā·nāh בְּמָלְכ֔וֹ when he became king , bə·mā·lə·ḵōw מָלַ֖ךְ and he reigned mā·laḵ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה three ū·šə·lō·šāh
