יֹשְׁבָ֗יו its people , yō·šə·ḇāw לִהְי֤וֹת that they would become lih·yō·wṯ לְשַׁמָּה֙ a desolation lə·šam·māh וְלִקְלָלָ֔ה and a curse , wə·liq·lā·lāh וַתִּקְרַע֙ and because you have torn wat·tiq·ra‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּגָדֶ֔יךָ your clothes bə·ḡā·ḏe·ḵā וַתִּבְכֶּ֖ה and wept wat·tiḇ·keh לְפָנָ֑י before Me , lə·p̄ā·nāy וְגַ֧ם . . . wə·ḡam אָנֹכִ֛י I ’ā·nō·ḵî שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי have heard [you] , ’ šā·ma‘·tî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh 2 Kings 22:20 לָכֵן֩ ‘ Therefore lā·ḵên הִנְנִ֨י vvv hin·nî אֹֽסִפְךָ֜ I will indeed gather ’ō·sip̄·ḵā עַל־ you to ‘al- אֲבֹתֶ֗יךָ your fathers , ’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā וְנֶאֱסַפְתָּ֣ and you will be gathered wə·ne·’ĕ·sap̄·tā אֶל־ to ’el- קִבְרֹתֶיךָ֮ your grave qiḇ·rō·ṯe·ḵā בְּשָׁלוֹם֒ in peace . bə·šā·lō·wm עֵינֶ֔יךָ Your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā וְלֹא־ will not wə·lō- תִרְאֶ֣ינָה see ṯir·’e·nāh בְּכֹל֙ all bə·ḵōl הָֽרָעָ֔ה the calamity hā·rā·‘āh אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî מֵבִ֖יא will bring mê·ḇî עַל־ on ‘al- הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh הַמָּק֣וֹם place . ’” ham·mā·qō·wm וַיָּשִׁ֥יבוּ So they brought way·yā·šî·ḇū אֶת־ her ’eṯ- דָּבָֽר׃ answer dā·ḇār הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ back to the king . ham·me·leḵ 2 Kings 23:1 הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ Then the king ham·me·leḵ וַיִּשְׁלַ֖ח summoned way·yiš·laḥ וַיַּאַסְפ֣וּ . . . way·ya·’as·p̄ū אֵלָ֔יו . . . ’ê·lāw כָּל־ all kāl- זִקְנֵ֥י the elders ziq·nê יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ and Jerusalem . wî·rū·šā·lim 2 Kings 23:2 הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ And [he] ham·me·leḵ וַיַּ֣עַל went up way·ya·‘al בֵּית־ to the house bêṯ- יְהוָ֡ה of YHWH Yah·weh וְכָל־ with all wə·ḵāl יֹשְׁבֵ֨י the people yō·šə·ḇê אִ֣ישׁ - ’îš יְהוּדָה֩ of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וְכָל־ [and] wə·ḵāl יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim אִתּ֗וֹ as well as ’it·tōw וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ the priests wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm וְהַנְּבִיאִ֔ים and the prophets — wə·han·nə·ḇî·’îm וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl הָעָ֖ם the people hā·‘ām לְמִקָּטֹ֣ן small lə·miq·qā·ṭōn וְעַד־ and wə·‘aḏ- גָּד֑וֹל great — gā·ḏō·wl בְאָזְנֵיהֶ֗ם and in their hearing ḇə·’ā·zə·nê·hem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּקְרָ֣א he read way·yiq·rā כָּל־ all kāl- דִּבְרֵי֙ the words diḇ·rê סֵ֣פֶר of the Book sê·p̄er הַבְּרִ֔ית of the Covenant hab·bə·rîṯ הַנִּמְצָ֖א that had been found han·nim·ṣā בְּבֵ֥ית in the house bə·ḇêṯ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh 2 Kings 23:3 הַ֠מֶּלֶךְ So the king ham·me·leḵ וַיַּעֲמֹ֣ד stood way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ עַֽל־ by ‘al- הָ֨עַמּ֜וּד the pillar hā·‘am·mūḏ וַיִּכְרֹ֥ת and made way·yiḵ·rōṯ אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- הַבְּרִ֣ית׀ a covenant hab·bə·rîṯ לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh לָלֶ֜כֶת to follow lā·le·ḵeṯ אַחַ֤ר . . . ’a·ḥar יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh וְלִשְׁמֹ֨ר and to keep wə·liš·mōr מִצְוֺתָ֜יו His commandments , miṣ·wō·ṯāw
