אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִצְוֺ֖ת the commandments miṣ·wōṯ יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם their God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ but lived way·yê·lə·ḵū בְּחֻקּ֥וֹת according to the customs bə·ḥuq·qō·wṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer עָשֽׂוּ׃ had introduced . ‘ā·śū 2 Kings 17:20 יְהוָ֜ה So YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּמְאַ֨ס rejected way·yim·’as בְּכָל־ all bə·ḵāl זֶ֤רַע the descendants ze·ra‘ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl וַיְעַנֵּ֔ם He afflicted them way·‘an·nêm וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖ם and delivered them way·yit·tə·nêm בְּיַד־ into the hands bə·yaḏ- שֹׁסִ֑ים of plunderers , šō·sîm עַ֛ד until ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer הִשְׁלִיכָ֖ם He had banished them hiš·lî·ḵām מִפָּנָֽיו׃ from His presence . mip·pā·nāw 2 Kings 17:21 כִּֽי־ When kî- קָרַ֣ע [YHWH] had torn qā·ra‘ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl מֵעַל֙ away from mê·‘al בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ דָּוִ֔ד of David , dā·wiḏ יָרָבְעָ֣ם they made Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām בֶּן־ son ben- נְבָ֑ט of Nebat nə·ḇāṭ וַיַּדֵּא . . . way·yad·dē וַיַּמְלִ֖יכוּ king , way·yam·lî·ḵū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָרָבְעָ֤ם and Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ led Israel yiś·rā·’êl מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י away from following mê·’a·ḥă·rê יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh וְהֶחֱטֵיאָ֖ם and caused them to commit wə·hɛ·ḥɛ̆·ṭē·ʾå̄m גְדוֹלָֽה׃ a great ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh חֲטָאָ֥ה sin . ḥă·ṭā·’āh 2 Kings 17:22 בְּנֵ֣י The Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ persisted way·yê·lə·ḵū בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl חַטֹּ֥אות the sins ḥaṭ·ṭō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer יָרָבְעָ֖ם Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām עָשָׂ֑ה had committed ‘ā·śāh לֹא־ and did not lō- סָ֖רוּ turn away sā·rū מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ from them . mim·men·nāh 2 Kings 17:23 עַ֠ד Finally ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁר־ - , ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הֵסִ֨יר removed hê·sîr יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel yiś·rā·’êl מֵעַ֣ל from mê·‘al פָּנָ֔יו His presence , pā·nāw כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר as ka·’ă·šer דִּבֶּ֔ר He had declared dib·ber בְּיַ֖ד through bə·yaḏ כָּל־ all kāl- עֲבָדָ֣יו His servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw הַנְּבִיאִ֑ים the prophets . han·nə·ḇî·’îm יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל So Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּ֨גֶל was exiled way·yi·ḡel מֵעַ֤ל from mê·‘al אַדְמָתוֹ֙ their homeland ’aḏ·mā·ṯōw אַשּׁ֔וּרָה into Assyria , ’aš·šū·rāh עַ֖ד [where they are] to ‘aḏ הַזֶּֽה׃פ this haz·zeh הַיּ֥וֹם day . hay·yō·wm 2 Kings 17:24 מֶֽלֶךְ־ Then the king me·leḵ- אַשּׁ֡וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr וַיָּבֵ֣א brought way·yā·ḇê מִבָּבֶ֡ל people from Babylon , mib·bā·ḇel וּ֠מִכּוּ֠תָה Cuthah , ū·mik·kū·ṯāh וּמֵעַוָּ֤א Avva , ū·mê·‘aw·wā וּמֵֽחֲמָת֙ Hamath , ū·mê·ḥă·māṯ וּסְפַרְוַ֔יִם and Sepharvaim ū·sə·p̄ar·wa·yim וַיֹּ֙שֶׁב֙ and settled them way·yō·šeḇ בְּעָרֵ֣י in the towns bə·‘ā·rê
