וַיֹּ֤אמֶר and Elisha said way·yō·mer לְמֶֽלֶךְ־ to the king lə·me·leḵ- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl הַךְ־ “ Strike haḵ- אַ֔רְצָה the ground ! ” ’ar·ṣāh וַיַּ֥ךְ So he struck way·yaḵ שָֽׁלֹשׁ־ the ground three šā·lōš- פְּעָמִ֖ים times pə·‘ā·mîm וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃ and stopped . way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ 2 Kings 13:19 אִ֣ישׁ But the man ’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיִּקְצֹ֨ף was angry way·yiq·ṣōp̄ עָלָ֜יו with him ‘ā·lāw וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ and said , way·yō·mer לְהַכּ֨וֹת “ You should have struck lə·hak·kō·wṯ חָמֵ֤שׁ the ground five ḥā·mêš אוֹ־ or ’ōw- שֵׁשׁ֙ six šêš פְּעָמִ֔ים times . pə·‘ā·mîm אָ֛ז Then ’āz הִכִּ֥יתָ you would have struck down hik·kî·ṯā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲרָ֖ם Aram ’ă·rām עַד־ until ‘aḏ- כַּלֵּ֑ה you had put an end to it . kal·lêh וְעַתָּ֕ה But now wə·‘at·tāh תַּכֶּ֥ה you will strike down tak·keh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲרָֽם׃ס Aram ’ă·rām שָׁלֹ֥שׁ [only] three šā·lōš פְּעָמִ֖ים times . ” pə·‘ā·mîm 2 Kings 13:20 אֱלִישָׁ֖ע And Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיָּ֥מָת died way·yā·māṯ וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֑הוּ and was buried . way·yiq·bə·ru·hū מוֹאָ֛ב Now the Moabite mō·w·’āḇ וּגְדוּדֵ֥י raiders ū·ḡə·ḏū·ḏê יָבֹ֥אוּ used to come yā·ḇō·’ū בָאָ֖רֶץ into the land ḇā·’ā·reṣ בָּ֥א every spring bā שָׁנָֽה׃ . . . . šā·nāh 2 Kings 13:21 וַיְהִ֞י Once , way·hî הֵ֣ם׀ as the Israelites hêm קֹבְרִ֣ים were burying qō·ḇə·rîm אִ֗ישׁ a man , ’îš וְהִנֵּה֙ suddenly wə·hin·nêh רָא֣וּ they saw rā·’ū אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- הַגְּד֔וּד a band [of raiders] , hag·gə·ḏūḏ וַיַּשְׁלִ֥יכוּ so they threw way·yaš·lî·ḵū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאִ֖ישׁ the man’s body hā·’îš אֱלִישָׁ֑ע into Elisha’s ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיֵּ֜לֶךְ . . . way·yê·leḵ בְּקֶ֣בֶר tomb . bə·qe·ḇer וַיִּגַּ֤ע And as soon as [his body] touched way·yig·ga‘ בְּעַצְמ֣וֹת the bones bə·‘aṣ·mō·wṯ אֱלִישָׁ֔ע of Elisha , ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ הָאִישׁ֙ the man hā·’îš וַיְחִ֖י was revived way·ḥî וַיָּ֥קָם and stood way·yā·qām עַל־ up on ‘al- רַגְלָֽיו׃פ his feet . raḡ·lāw 2 Kings 13:22 וַֽחֲזָאֵל֙ And Hazael wa·ḥă·zā·’êl מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ אֲרָ֔ם of Aram ’ă·rām לָחַ֖ץ oppressed lā·ḥaṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl כֹּ֖ל throughout kōl יְמֵ֥י the reign yə·mê יְהוֹאָחָֽז׃ of Jehoahaz . yə·hō·w·’ā·ḥāz 2 Kings 13:23 יְהוָ֨ה But YHWH Yah·weh וַיָּחָן֩ was gracious way·yā·ḥān אֹתָ֤ם to [Israel] ’ō·ṯām וַֽיְרַחֲמֵם֙ and had compassion on them , way·ra·ḥă·mêm וַיִּ֣פֶן and He turned way·yi·p̄en אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם toward them ’ă·lê·hem לְמַ֣עַן because of lə·ma·‘an בְּרִית֔וֹ His covenant bə·rî·ṯōw אֶת־ with ’eṯ- אַבְרָהָ֖ם Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām יִצְחָ֣ק Isaac , yiṣ·ḥāq וְיַֽעֲקֹ֑ב and Jacob . wə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ עַד־ And to ‘aḏ- עָֽתָּה׃ this day , ‘āt·tāh
