וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב rested way·yiš·kaḇ עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָ֔יו his fathers , ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw וְיָרָבְעָ֖ם and Jeroboam wə·yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām יָשַׁ֣ב succeeded him yā·šaḇ עַל־ on ‘al- כִּסְא֑וֹ the throne . kis·’ōw יוֹאָשׁ֙ Jehoash yō·w·’āš וַיִּקָּבֵ֤ר was buried way·yiq·qā·ḇêr בְּשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן in Samaria bə·šō·mə·rō·wn עִ֖ם with ‘im מַלְכֵ֥י the kings mal·ḵê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Kings 13:14 וֶֽאֱלִישָׁע֙ When Elisha we·’ĕ·lî·šā‘ חָלָ֣ה had fallen sick ḥā·lāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חָלְי֔וֹ with the illness ḥā·lə·yōw אֲשֶׁ֥ר from which ’ă·šer יָמ֖וּת he would die yā·mūṯ בּ֑וֹ , bōw יוֹאָ֣שׁ Jehoash yō·w·’āš מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיֵּ֨רֶד came down way·yê·reḏ אֵלָ֜יו to him ’ê·lāw וַיֵּ֤בְךְּ and wept way·yê·ḇək עַל־ over ‘al- פָּנָיו֙ him , pā·nāw וַיֹּאמַ֔ר saying , way·yō·mar אָבִ֣י׀ “ My father , ’ā·ḇî אָבִ֔י my father , ’ā·ḇî רֶ֥כֶב the chariots re·ḵeḇ וּפָרָשָֽׁיו׃ and horsemen ū·p̄ā·rā·šāw יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel ! ” yiś·rā·’êl 2 Kings 13:15 אֱלִישָׁ֔ע Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר told way·yō·mer לוֹ֙ him , lōw קַ֖ח “ Take qaḥ קֶ֣שֶׁת a bow qe·šeṯ וְחִצִּ֑ים and some arrows . ” wə·ḥiṣ·ṣîm וַיִּקַּ֥ח So [Jehoash] took way·yiq·qaḥ אֵלָ֖יו . . . ’ê·lāw קֶ֥שֶׁת a bow qe·šeṯ וְחִצִּֽים׃ and some arrows . wə·ḥiṣ·ṣîm 2 Kings 13:16 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀ Then Elisha said way·yō·mer לְמֶ֣לֶךְ to the king lə·me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl הַרְכֵּ֤ב “ Put har·kêḇ יָֽדְךָ֙ your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā עַל־ on ‘al- הַקֶּ֔שֶׁת the bow . ” haq·qe·šeṯ וַיַּרְכֵּ֖ב So the king put way·yar·kêḇ יָד֑וֹ his hand on [the bow] , yā·ḏōw אֱלִישָׁ֛ע and Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיָּ֧שֶׂם put way·yā·śem יָדָ֖יו his hands yā·ḏāw עַל־ on ‘al- הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ the king’s ham·me·leḵ יְדֵ֥י hands . yə·ḏê 2 Kings 13:17 פְּתַ֧ח “ Open pə·ṯaḥ קֵ֖דְמָה the east qê·ḏə·māh הַחַלּ֛וֹן window , ” ha·ḥal·lō·wn וַיֹּ֗אמֶר said Elisha . way·yō·mer וַיִּפְתָּ֑ח So he opened [it] way·yip̄·tāḥ אֱלִישָׁ֤ע and Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said , way·yō·mer יְרֵה֙ “ Shoot ! ” yə·rêh וַיּ֔וֹר So he shot . way·yō·wr וַיֹּ֗אמֶר And Elisha declared : way·yō·mer לַֽיהוָה֙ “ This is YHWH’s Yah·weh חֵץ־ arrow ḥêṣ- תְּשׁוּעָ֤ה of victory , tə·šū·‘āh וְחֵ֣ץ the arrow wə·ḥêṣ תְּשׁוּעָ֣ה of victory tə·šū·‘āh בַֽאֲרָ֔ם over Aram , ḇa·’ă·rām וְהִכִּיתָ֧ for you shall strike wə·hik·kî·ṯā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲרָ֛ם the Arameans ’ă·rām בַּאֲפֵ֖ק in Aphek ba·’ă·p̄êq עַד־ until ‘aḏ- כַּלֵּֽה׃ you have put an end to them . ” kal·lêh 2 Kings 13:18 וַיֹּ֛אמֶר Then Elisha said , way·yō·mer קַ֥ח “ Take qaḥ הַחִצִּ֖ים the arrows ! ” ha·ḥiṣ·ṣîm וַיִּקָּ֑ח So he took [them] , way·yiq·qāḥ
