2 Kings 13:3 אַ֥ף So the anger ’ap̄ יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּֽחַר־ burned way·yi·ḥar- בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל against Israel , bə·yiś·rā·’êl וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֞ם and He delivered them way·yit·tə·nêm כָּל־ continually kāl- הַיָּמִֽים׃ . . . hay·yā·mîm בְּיַ֣ד׀ into the hands bə·yaḏ חֲזָאֵ֣ל of Hazael ḥă·zā·’êl מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- אֲרָ֗ם of Aram ’ă·rām וּבְיַ֛ד . . . ū·ḇə·yaḏ בֶּן־ ben- חֲזָאֵ֖ל and his ḥă·zā·’êl בֶּן־ son ben- הֲדַ֥ד Ben-hadad . hă·ḏaḏ 2 Kings 13:4 יְהוֹאָחָ֖ז Then Jehoahaz yə·hō·w·’ā·ḥāz אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיְחַ֥ל sought way·ḥal פְּנֵ֣י the favor pə·nê יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh יְהוָ֔ה and YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע listened way·yiš·ma‘ אֵלָיו֙ to him ’ê·lāw כִּ֤י because kî רָאָה֙ He saw rā·’āh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לַ֣חַץ the oppression la·ḥaṣ מֶ֥לֶךְ that the king me·leḵ אֲרָֽם׃ of Aram ’ă·rām לָחַ֥ץ had inflicted lā·ḥaṣ אֹתָ֖ם - ’ō·ṯām יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל on Israel yiś·rā·’êl כִּֽי־ . . . . kî- 2 Kings 13:5 יְהוָ֤ה So YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּתֵּ֨ן gave way·yit·tên לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel lə·yiś·rā·’êl מוֹשִׁ֔יעַ a deliverer , mō·wō·šî·a‘ וַיֵּ֣צְא֔וּ and they escaped way·yê·ṣə·’ū מִתַּ֖חַת . . . mit·ta·ḥaṯ יַד־ the power yaḏ- אֲרָ֑ם of the Arameans . ’ă·rām בְנֵֽי־ Then the people ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיֵּשְׁב֧וּ lived way·yê·šə·ḇū בְּאָהֳלֵיהֶ֖ם in their own homes bə·’ā·ho·lê·hem כִּתְמ֥וֹל as they had before kiṯ·mō·wl שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם׃ . . . . šil·šō·wm 2 Kings 13:6 אַ֠ךְ Nevertheless , ’aḵ לֹֽא־ they did not lō- סָ֜רוּ turn away sā·rū מֵחַטֹּ֧אות from the sins mê·ḥaṭ·ṭō·wṯ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- בֵּית־ the house bêṯ- יָרָבְעָ֛ם of Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל had caused Israel yiś·rā·’êl בָּ֣הּ bāh הֶחֱטִי to commit , hɛ·ḥɛ̆·ṭī אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָלָ֑ךְ [but] they continued to walk in them . hā·lāḵ הָאֲשֵׁרָ֔ה The Asherah [pole] hā·’ă·šê·rāh וְגַם֙ even wə·ḡam עָמְדָ֖ה remained standing ‘ā·mə·ḏāh בְּשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃ in Samaria . bə·šō·mə·rō·wn 2 Kings 13:7 לִיהוֹאָחָ֜ז Jehoahaz lî·hō·w·’ā·ḥāz לֹא֩ had no lō עָ֗ם army ‘ām הִשְׁאִ֨יר left , hiš·’îr כִּ֣י kî כִּ֣י except kî אִם־ . . . ’im- חֲמִשִּׁ֤ים fifty ḥă·miš·šîm פָּֽרָשִׁים֙ horsemen , pā·rā·šîm וַעֲשָׂ֣רָה ten wa·‘ă·śā·rāh רֶ֔כֶב chariots , re·ḵeḇ וַעֲשֶׂ֥רֶת and ten wa·‘ă·śe·reṯ אֲלָפִ֖ים thousand ’ă·lā·p̄îm רַגְלִ֑י foot soldiers , raḡ·lî כִּ֤י because kî מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ אֲרָ֔ם of Aram ’ă·rām אִבְּדָם֙ had destroyed them ’ib·bə·ḏām וַיְשִׂמֵ֥ם and made them way·śi·mêm כֶּֽעָפָ֖ר like the dust ke·‘ā·p̄ār לָדֻֽשׁ׃ at threshing . lā·ḏuš
