הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ the king’s ham·me·leḵ בֶּן־ son ben- 2 Kings 11:5 וַיְצַוֵּ֣ם and commanded them , way·ṣaw·wêm לֵאמֹ֔ר . . . lê·mōr זֶ֥ה “ This zeh הַדָּבָ֖ר . . . had·dā·ḇār אֲשֶׁ֣ר is what ’ă·šer תַּעֲשׂ֑וּן you are to do : ta·‘ă·śūn הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֤ית A third haš·šə·li·šîṯ מִכֶּם֙ of you mik·kem בָּאֵ֣י who come on duty bā·’ê הַשַּׁבָּ֔ת on the Sabbath haš·šab·bāṯ וְשֹׁ֣מְרֵ֔י shall guard wə·šō·mə·rê מִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת . . . miš·me·reṯ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ the royal ham·me·leḵ בֵּ֥ית palace , bêṯ 2 Kings 11:6 וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁית֙ a third [shall be] wə·haš·šə·li·šîṯ בְּשַׁ֣עַר at the gate bə·ša·‘ar ס֔וּר of Sur , sūr וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֥ית and a third wə·haš·šə·li·šîṯ בַּשַּׁ֖עַר at the gate baš·ša·‘ar אַחַ֣ר behind ’a·ḥar הָרָצִ֑ים the guards . hā·rā·ṣîm מַסָּֽח׃ You are to take turns mas·sāḥ וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֛ם guarding ū·šə·mar·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִשְׁמֶ֥רֶת - miš·me·reṯ הַבַּ֖יִת the temple — hab·ba·yiṯ 2 Kings 11:7 וּשְׁתֵּ֤י the two ū·šə·tê הַיָּדוֹת֙ divisions hay·yā·ḏō·wṯ בָּכֶ֔ם bā·ḵem כֹּ֖ל - kōl יֹצְאֵ֣י that would go off duty yō·ṣə·’ê הַשַּׁבָּ֑ת on the Sabbath haš·šab·bāṯ וְשָֽׁמְר֛וּ are to guard wə·šā·mə·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִשְׁמֶ֥רֶת - miš·me·reṯ בֵּית־ the house bêṯ- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֶל־ for ’el- הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ the king . ham·me·leḵ 2 Kings 11:8 וְהִקַּפְתֶּ֨ם You must surround wə·hiq·qap̄·tem עַל־ . . . ‘al- הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ סָבִ֗יב . . . sā·ḇîḇ וְכֵלָ֣יו with weapons wə·ḵê·lāw בְּיָד֔וֹ in hand , bə·yā·ḏōw אִ֚ישׁ and anyone ’îš וְהַבָּ֥א who approaches wə·hab·bā אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַשְּׂדֵר֖וֹת the ranks haś·śə·ḏê·rō·wṯ יוּמָ֑ת must be put to death . yū·māṯ וִהְי֥וּ You must stay wih·yū אֶת־ close ’eṯ- הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ to the king ham·me·leḵ בְּצֵאת֥וֹ wherever he goes bə·ṣê·ṯōw וּבְבֹאֽוֹ׃ . . . . ” ū·ḇə·ḇō·’ōw 2 Kings 11:9 שָׂרֵ֣י So the commanders śā·rê הַמֵּאיוֹת of hundreds ham·mē·yōṯ וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֞וּ did way·ya·‘ă·śū כְּכֹ֣ל everything kə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוֹיָדָ֣ע Jehoiada yə·hō·w·yā·ḏā‘ הַכֹּהֵן֒ the priest hak·kō·hên צִוָּה֮ had ordered . ṣiw·wāh אִ֣ישׁ Each of them ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּקְחוּ֙ took way·yiq·ḥū אֲנָשָׁ֔יו his men — ’ă·nā·šāw בָּאֵ֣י those coming on duty bā·’ê הַשַּׁבָּ֔ת on the Sabbath haš·šab·bāṯ עִ֖ם and ‘im יֹצְאֵ֣י those going off duty yō·ṣə·’ê הַשַּׁבָּ֑ת . . . — haš·šab·bāṯ וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ and came way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוֹיָדָ֥ע Jehoiada yə·hō·w·yā·ḏā‘ הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ the priest . hak·kō·hên 2 Kings 11:10 הַכֹּהֵ֜ן Then the priest hak·kō·hên וַיִּתֵּ֨ן gave way·yit·tên לְשָׂרֵ֣י to the commanders lə·śā·rê הַמֵּאיוֹת of hundreds ham·mē·yōṯ
