אִ֥ישׁ of the man ’îš הָֽאֱלֹהִים֮ of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm לָקוּם֒ got up lā·qūm וַיֵּצֵ֕א and went out way·yê·ṣê וַ֠יַּשְׁכֵּם early in the morning , way·yaš·kêm וְהִנֵּה־ - wə·hin·nêh- חַ֛יִל an army ḥa·yil וְס֣וּס with horses wə·sūs וָרָ֑כֶב and chariots wā·rā·ḵeḇ סוֹבֵ֥ב had surrounded sō·w·ḇêḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָעִ֖יר the city . hā·‘îr נַעֲר֥וֹ So he na·‘ă·rōw אֵלָ֛יו . . . ’ê·lāw וַיֹּ֨אמֶר asked Elisha , way·yō·mer אֲהָ֥הּ “ Oh , ’ă·hāh אֲדֹנִ֖י my master , ’ă·ḏō·nî אֵיכָ֥ה what ’ê·ḵāh נַֽעֲשֶֽׂה׃ are we to do ? ” na·‘ă·śeh 2 Kings 6:16 אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֑א be afraid , ” tî·rā וַיֹּ֖אמֶר Elisha answered , way·yō·mer כִּ֤י “ for kî אֲשֶׁ֣ר those who [are] ’ă·šer אִתָּ֔נוּ with us ’it·tā·nū רַבִּים֙ [are] more rab·bîm מֵאֲשֶׁ֖ר than those who [are] mê·’ă·šer אוֹתָֽם׃ with them . ” ’ō·w·ṯām 2 Kings 6:17 אֱלִישָׁע֙ Then Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיֹּאמַ֔ר . . . way·yō·mar וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֤ל prayed , way·yiṯ·pal·lêl יְהוָ֕ה “ O YHWH , Yah·weh נָ֥א please nā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- פְּקַח־ open pə·qaḥ- עֵינָ֖יו his eyes ‘ê·nāw וְיִרְאֶ֑ה that he may see . ” wə·yir·’eh יְהוָה֙ And YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּפְקַ֤ח opened way·yip̄·qaḥ עֵינֵ֣י the eyes ‘ê·nê הַנַּ֔עַר of the young man , han·na·‘ar וַיַּ֗רְא and he saw that way·yar וְהִנֵּ֨ה . . . wə·hin·nêh הָהָ֜ר the hills hā·hār מָלֵ֨א were full of mā·lê סוּסִ֥ים horses sū·sîm וְרֶ֛כֶב and chariots wə·re·ḵeḇ אֵ֖שׁ of fire ’êš סְבִיבֹ֥ת all around sə·ḇî·ḇōṯ אֱלִישָֽׁע׃ Elisha . ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ 2 Kings 6:18 וַיֵּרְדוּ֮ As the Arameans came down way·yê·rə·ḏū אֵלָיו֒ against him , ’ê·lāw אֱלִישָׁ֤ע Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֨ל prayed way·yiṯ·pal·lêl אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּאמַ֔ר . . . , way·yō·mar נָ֥א “ Please nā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַךְ־ strike haḵ- הַזֶּ֖ה these haz·zeh הַגּוֹי־ people hag·gō·w- בַּסַּנְוֵרִ֑ים with blindness . ” bas·san·wê·rîm וַיַּכֵּ֥ם So He struck them way·yak·kêm בַּסַּנְוֵרִ֖ים with blindness , bas·san·wê·rîm כִּדְבַ֥ר according to the word kiḏ·ḇar אֱלִישָֽׁע׃ of Elisha . ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ 2 Kings 6:19 אֱלִישָׁ֗ע And Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר told way·yō·mer אֲלֵהֶ֜ם them , ’ă·lê·hem זֶ֣ה “ This zeh לֹ֣א is not lō הַדֶּרֶךְ֮ the way , had·de·reḵ זֹ֣ה and this zōh וְלֹ֣א is not wə·lō הָעִיר֒ the city . hā·‘îr וְאוֹלִ֣יכָה Follow wə·’ō·w·lî·ḵāh אֶתְכֶ֔ם - ’eṯ·ḵem אַחֲרַ֔י me , ’a·ḥă·ray לְכ֣וּ and I will take lə·ḵū אֶל־ you to ’el- הָאִ֖ישׁ the man hā·’îš אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer תְּבַקֵּשׁ֑וּן you are seeking . ” tə·ḇaq·qê·šūn וַיֹּ֥לֶךְ And he led way·yō·leḵ אוֹתָ֖ם them ’ō·w·ṯām שֹׁמְרֽוֹנָה׃ to Samaria . šō·mə·rō·w·nāh
