תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ס in his place . taḥ·tāw 1 Kings 22:51 שְׁבַ֣ע In the seventeenth šə·ḇa‘ עֶשְׂרֵ֔ה . . . ‘eś·rêh בִּשְׁנַת֙ year biš·naṯ לִיהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט of Jehoshaphat’s lî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ מֶ֣לֶךְ reign me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֑ה over Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh אֲחַזְיָ֣הוּ Ahaziah ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- אַחְאָ֗ב of Ahab ’aḥ·’āḇ מָלַ֤ךְ became king mā·laḵ עַל־ of ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ and he reigned way·yim·lōḵ בְּשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן in Samaria bə·šō·mə·rō·wn עַל־ - ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל - yiś·rā·’êl שְׁנָתָֽיִם׃ two years . šə·nā·ṯā·yim 1 Kings 22:52 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ And he did way·ya·‘aś הָרַ֖ע evil hā·ra‘ בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the sight bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיֵּ֗לֶךְ and walked way·yê·leḵ בְּדֶ֤רֶךְ in the ways bə·ḏe·reḵ אָבִיו֙ of his father ’ā·ḇîw וּבְדֶ֣רֶךְ [and] ū·ḇə·ḏe·reḵ אִמּ֔וֹ mother ’im·mōw וּבְדֶ֙רֶךְ֙ [and] ū·ḇə·ḏe·reḵ יָרָבְעָ֣ם of Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām בֶּן־ son ben- נְבָ֔ט of Nebat , nə·ḇāṭ אֲשֶׁ֥ר who ’ă·šer יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ had caused Israel yiś·rā·’êl הֶחֱטִ֖יא to sin . he·ḥĕ·ṭî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- 1 Kings 22:53 וַֽיַּעֲבֹד֙ [Ahaziah] served way·ya·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖ה and worshiped way·yiš·ta·ḥă·weh הַבַּ֔עַל Baal hab·ba·‘al ל֑וֹ , lōw וַיַּכְעֵ֗ס provoking way·yaḵ·‘ês אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel, {to anger} , yiś·rā·’êl כְּכֹ֥ל just as kə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אָבִֽיו׃ his father ’ā·ḇîw עָשָׂ֖ה had done . ‘ā·śāh 2 Kings 1:1 אַחֲרֵ֖י After ’a·ḥă·rê מ֥וֹת the death mō·wṯ אַחְאָֽב׃ of Ahab , ’aḥ·’āḇ מוֹאָב֙ Moab mō·w·’āḇ וַיִּפְשַׁ֤ע rebelled way·yip̄·ša‘ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל against Israel . bə·yiś·rā·’êl 2 Kings 1:2 אֲחַזְיָ֜ה Now Ahaziah ’ă·ḥaz·yāh וַיִּפֹּ֨ל had fallen way·yip·pōl בְּעַ֣ד through bə·‘aḏ הַשְּׂבָכָ֗ה the lattice haś·śə·ḇā·ḵāh בַּעֲלִיָּת֛וֹ of his upper room ba·‘ă·lî·yā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בְּשֹׁמְר֖וֹן in Samaria bə·šō·mə·rō·wn וַיָּ֑חַל and injured himself . way·yā·ḥal וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח So he sent way·yiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֔ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm וַיֹּ֤אמֶר and instructed them : way·yō·mer אֲלֵהֶם֙ . . . ’ă·lê·hem לְכ֣וּ “ Go lə·ḵū דִרְשׁ֗וּ inquire ḏir·šū בְּבַ֤עַל vvv bə·ḇa·‘al זְבוּב֙ of Baal-zebub , zə·ḇūḇ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the god ’ĕ·lō·hê עֶקְר֔וֹן of Ekron , ‘eq·rō·wn אִם־ whether ’im- אֶחְיֶ֖ה I will recover ’eḥ·yeh זֶֽה׃ס from this zeh מֵחֳלִ֥י injury . ” mê·ḥo·lî 2 Kings 1:3 וּמַלְאַ֣ךְ But the angel ū·mal·’aḵ יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּר֙ said dib·ber אֶל־ to ’el- אֵלִיָּ֣ה Elijah ’ê·lî·yāh
