1 Kings 15:21 וַֽיְהִי֙ When way·hî בַּעְשָׁ֔א Baasha ba‘·šā כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ learned of this , kiš·mō·a‘ וַיֶּחְדַּ֕ל he stopped way·yeḥ·dal מִבְּנ֖וֹת fortifying mib·bə·nō·wṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָֽרָמָ֑ה Ramah hā·rā·māh וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב and withdrew way·yê·šeḇ בְּתִרְצָֽה׃ to Tirzah . bə·ṯir·ṣāh 1 Kings 15:22 וְהַמֶּ֨לֶךְ Then King wə·ham·me·leḵ אָסָ֜א Asa ’ā·sā הִשְׁמִ֤יעַ summoned hiš·mî·a‘ אֶת־ ’eṯ- כָּל־ all [the men] kāl- יְהוּדָה֙ of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh אֵ֣ין with no ’ên נָקִ֔י exceptions , nā·qî וַיִּשְׂא֞וּ and they carried away way·yiś·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אַבְנֵ֤י the stones ’aḇ·nê הָֽרָמָה֙ of Ramah hā·rā·māh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- עֵצֶ֔יהָ and the timbers ‘ê·ṣe·hā אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בַּעְשָׁ֑א Baasha ba‘·šā בָּנָ֖ה had used for building . bā·nāh בָּם֙ And with [these materials] bām הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ אָסָ֔א Asa ’ā·sā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּ֤בֶן built up way·yi·ḇen גֶּ֥בַע Geba ge·ḇa‘ בִּנְיָמִ֖ן of Benjamin , bin·yā·min וְאֶת־ as well as wə·’eṯ- הַמִּצְפָּֽה׃ Mizpah . ham·miṣ·pāh 1 Kings 15:23 וְיֶ֣תֶר Now the rest wə·ye·ṯer כָּל־ . . . kāl- דִּבְרֵֽי־ of the acts diḇ·rê- אָ֠סָא of Asa , ’ā·sā וְכָל־ along with all wə·ḵāl גְּב֨וּרָת֜וֹ his might , gə·ḇū·rā·ṯōw וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl אֲשֶׁ֣ר his accomplishments ’ă·šer עָשָׂ֗ה . . . , ‘ā·śāh וְהֶֽעָרִים֙ and the cities wə·he·‘ā·rîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בָּנָ֔ה he built , bā·nāh הֵ֣מָּה [are] they hêm·māh הֲלֹֽא־ not hă·lō- כְתוּבִ֗ים written ḵə·ṯū·ḇîm עַל־ in ‘al- סֵ֛פֶר the Book sê·p̄er דִּבְרֵ֥י of the Chronicles diḇ·rê הַיָּמִ֖ים . . . hay·yā·mîm לְמַלְכֵ֣י of the Kings lə·mal·ḵê יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah ? yə·hū·ḏāh לְעֵ֣ת vvv lə·‘êṯ זִקְנָת֔וֹ In his old age , ziq·nā·ṯōw רַ֚ק however , raq חָלָ֖ה he became diseased ḥā·lāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רַגְלָֽיו׃ in his feet . raḡ·lāw 1 Kings 15:24 אָסָא֙ And Asa ’ā·sā וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב rested way·yiš·kaḇ עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָ֔יו his fathers ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw וַיִּקָּבֵר֙ and was buried way·yiq·qā·ḇêr עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָ֔יו [them] ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw בְּעִ֖יר in the city bə·‘îr אָבִ֑יו of his father ’ā·ḇîw דָּוִ֣ד David , dā·wiḏ בְּנ֖וֹ and his son bə·nōw יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט Jehoshaphat yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ reigned way·yim·lōḵ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃פ in his place . taḥ·tāw 1 Kings 15:25 שְׁתַּ֔יִם In the second šə·ta·yim בִּשְׁנַ֣ת year biš·naṯ לְאָסָ֖א of Asa’s lə·’ā·sā מֶ֣לֶךְ reign me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֑ה over Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh וְנָדָ֣ב Nadab wə·nā·ḏāḇ בֶּן־ son ben- יָרָבְעָ֗ם of Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām מָלַךְ֙ became king mā·laḵ עַל־ of ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl
