שְׁלֹמֹה֙ of Solomon šə·lō·mōh מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh וְאֶל־ - wə·’el- כָּל־ all kāl- בֵּ֥ית the house bêṯ יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וּבִנְיָמִ֑ין and Benjamin , ū·ḇin·yā·mîn וְיֶ֥תֶר and the rest wə·ye·ṯer הָעָ֖ם of the people hā·‘ām לֵאמֹֽר׃ . . . lê·mōr 1 Kings 12:24 כֹּ֣ה that this is what kōh יְהוָ֡ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar לֹֽא־ ‘ You are not lō- תַעֲלוּ֩ to go up ṯa·‘ă·lū וְלֹא־ . . . wə·lō- תִלָּ֨חֲמ֜וּן and fight ṯil·lā·ḥă·mūn עִם־ against ‘im- אֲחֵיכֶ֣ם your brothers , ’ă·ḥê·ḵem בְּנֵֽי־ the Israelites bə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל . . . . yiś·rā·’êl אִ֣ישׁ Each ’îš שׁ֚וּבוּ of you must return ū·ḇū לְבֵית֔וֹ home , lə·ḇê·ṯōw כִּ֧י for kî הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh הַדָּבָ֣ר word had·dā·ḇār נִהְיָ֖ה is nih·yāh מֵאִתִּ֛י from Me . ’” mê·’it·tî וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ֙ So they listened way·yiš·mə·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דְּבַ֣ר to the word də·ḇar יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיָּשֻׁ֥בוּ and turned back way·yā·šu·ḇū לָלֶ֖כֶת . . . lā·le·ḵeṯ כִּדְבַ֥ר according to the word kiḏ·ḇar יְהוָֽה׃ס of YHWH . Yah·weh 1 Kings 12:25 יָרָבְעָ֧ם Then Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּ֨בֶן built way·yi·ḇen שְׁכֶ֛ם Shechem šə·ḵem בְּהַ֥ר in the hill country bə·har אֶפְרַ֖יִם of Ephraim ’ep̄·ra·yim וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב and lived there . way·yê·šeḇ בָּ֑הּ And from bāh מִשָּׁ֔ם there miš·šām וַיֵּצֵ֣א he went out way·yê·ṣê וַיִּ֖בֶן and built way·yi·ḇen אֶת־ - ’eṯ- פְּנוּאֵֽל׃ Penuel . pə·nū·’êl 1 Kings 12:26 יָרָבְעָ֖ם Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām וַיֹּ֥אמֶר said way·yō·mer בְּלִבּ֑וֹ in his heart , bə·lib·bōw עַתָּ֛ה “ Now ‘at·tāh הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה the kingdom ham·mam·lā·ḵāh תָּשׁ֥וּב might revert tā·šūḇ לְבֵ֥ית to the house lə·ḇêṯ דָּוִֽד׃ of David . dā·wiḏ 1 Kings 12:27 אִֽם־ If ’im- הַזֶּ֗ה these haz·zeh הָעָ֣ם people hā·‘ām יַעֲלֶ֣ה׀ go up ya·‘ă·leh לַעֲשׂ֨וֹת to offer la·‘ă·śō·wṯ זְבָחִ֤ים sacrifices zə·ḇā·ḥîm בְּבֵית־ in the house bə·ḇêṯ- יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם at Jerusalem , bî·rū·šā·lim לֵ֣ב [their] hearts lêḇ הָעָ֤ם . . . hā·‘ām הַזֶּה֙ . . . haz·zeh וְ֠שָׁב will return wə·šāḇ אֶל־ to ’el- אֲדֹ֣נֵיהֶ֔ם their lord , ’ă·ḏō·nê·hem אֶל־ ’el- רְחַבְעָ֖ם Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah ; yə·hū·ḏāh וַהֲרָגֻ֕נִי then they will kill me wa·hă·rā·ḡu·nî וְשָׁ֖בוּ and return wə·šā·ḇū אֶל־ to ’el- רְחַבְעָ֥ם Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah . ” yə·hū·ḏāh 1 Kings 12:28 וַיִּוָּעַ֣ץ After seeking advice , way·yiw·wā·‘aṣ
