עָשָׂ֖ה he did , ‘ā·śāh וְחָכְמָת֑וֹ as well as his wisdom — wə·ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯōw הֵ֣ם [are] they hêm הֲלֽוֹא־ not hă·lō·w- כְּתֻבִ֔ים written kə·ṯu·ḇîm עַל־ in ‘al- סֵ֖פֶר the Book sê·p̄er דִּבְרֵ֥י of the Acts diḇ·rê שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ of Solomon ? šə·lō·mōh 1 Kings 11:42 וְהַיָּמִ֗ים Thus the time wə·hay·yā·mîm אֲשֶׁר֩ that ’ă·šer שְׁלֹמֹ֤ה Solomon šə·lō·mōh מָלַ֨ךְ reigned mā·laḵ בִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ in Jerusalem ḇî·rū·šā·lim עַל־ over ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl אַרְבָּעִ֖ים [was] forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָֽה׃ years . šā·nāh 1 Kings 11:43 שְׁלֹמֹה֙ And Solomon šə·lō·mōh וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב rested way·yiš·kaḇ עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָ֔יו his fathers ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw וַיִּ֨קָּבֵ֔ר and was buried way·yiq·qā·ḇêr בְּעִ֖יר in the city bə·‘îr אָבִ֑יו of his father ’ā·ḇîw דָּוִ֣ד David . dā·wiḏ בְּנ֖וֹ And his son bə·nōw רְחַבְעָ֥ם Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ reigned way·yim·lōḵ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ס in his place . taḥ·tāw 1 Kings 12:1 רְחַבְעָ֖ם Then Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ went way·yê·leḵ שְׁכֶ֑ם to Shechem , šə·ḵem כִּ֥י for kî כָל־ all ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl בָּ֥א had gone bā שְׁכֶ֛ם [there] šə·ḵem לְהַמְלִ֥יךְ to make him king lə·ham·lîḵ אֹתֽוֹ׃ - . ’ō·ṯōw 1 Kings 12:2 וַיְהִ֞י - way·hî יָרָבְעָ֣ם When Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām בֶּן־ son ben- נְבָ֗ט of Nebat nə·ḇāṭ כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ׀ heard about this , kiš·mō·a‘ וְהוּא֙ he was wə·hū עוֹדֶ֣נּוּ still ‘ō·w·ḏen·nū בְמִצְרַ֔יִם in Egypt ḇə·miṣ·ra·yim אֲשֶׁ֣ר where ’ă·šer בָּרַ֔ח he had fled bā·raḥ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ from King ham·me·leḵ שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה Solomon šə·lō·mōh מִפְּנֵ֖י - mip·pə·nê יָרָבְעָ֖ם and had been yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב living ever since way·yê·šeḇ בְּמִצְרָֽיִם׃ - . bə·miṣ·rā·yim 1 Kings 12:3 וַֽיִּשְׁלְחוּ֙ So they sent for way·yiš·lə·ḥū וַיִּקְרְאוּ־ . . . way·yiq·rə·’ū- ל֔וֹ [Jeroboam] , lōw יָרָבְעָ֖ם and [he] yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām וְכָל־ and the whole wə·ḵāl קְהַ֣ל assembly qə·hal יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיָּבֹאוּ came way·yå̄·ḇō·ʾū אֶל־ to ’el- רְחַבְעָ֖ם Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām וַֽיְדַבְּר֔וּ and said way·ḏab·bə·rū לֵאמֹֽר׃ . . . , lê·mōr 1 Kings 12:4 אָבִ֖יךָ “ Your father ’ā·ḇî·ḵā הִקְשָׁ֣ה put a heavy hiq·šāh עֻלֵּ֑נוּ yoke ‘ul·lê·nū אֶת־ on us . ’eṯ- עַתָּ֣ה But now ‘at·tāh וְאַתָּ֡ה you wə·’at·tāh הָקֵל֩ should lighten hā·qêl הַקָּשָׁ֗ה the burden haq·qā·šāh אָבִ֜יךָ of your father’s ’ā·ḇî·ḵā מֵעֲבֹדַ֨ת service mê·‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ הַכָּבֵ֛ד and the heavy hak·kā·ḇêḏ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- וּמֵעֻלּ֧וֹ yoke ū·mê·‘ul·lōw
