לְפָנַי֙ before Me lə·p̄ā·nay בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם in Jerusalem , bî·rū·šā·lim הָעִיר֙ the city hā·‘îr אֲשֶׁ֣ר where ’ă·šer בָּחַ֣רְתִּי I chose bā·ḥar·tî לִ֔י lî לָשׂ֥וּם to put lā·śūm שְׁמִ֖י My Name šə·mî שָֽׁם׃ - . šām 1 Kings 11:37 וְאֹתְךָ֣ But as for you , wə·’ō·ṯə·ḵā אֶקַּ֔ח I will take you , ’eq·qaḥ וּמָ֣לַכְתָּ֔ and you shall reign ū·mā·laḵ·tā בְּכֹ֥ל over all bə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נַפְשֶׁ֑ךָ your heart nap̄·še·ḵā תְּאַוֶּ֖ה desires , tə·’aw·weh וְהָיִ֥יתָ and you will be wə·hā·yî·ṯā מֶּ֖לֶךְ king me·leḵ עַל־ over ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 1 Kings 11:38 וְהָיָ֗ה wə·hā·yāh אִם־ If ’im- תִּשְׁמַע֮ you listen to tiš·ma‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer אֲצַוֶּךָ֒ I command you , ’ă·ṣaw·we·ḵā וְהָלַכְתָּ֣ walk wə·hā·laḵ·tā בִדְרָכַ֗י in My ways , ḇiḏ·rā·ḵay וְעָשִׂ֨יתָ and do wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā הַיָּשָׁ֤ר what is right hay·yā·šār בְּעֵינַי֙ in My sight bə·‘ê·nay לִשְׁמ֤וֹר in order to keep liš·mō·wr חֻקּוֹתַי֙ My statutes ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay וּמִצְוֺתַ֔י and commandments ū·miṣ·wō·ṯay כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer עַבְדִּ֑י My servant ‘aḇ·dî דָּוִ֣ד David dā·wiḏ עָשָׂ֖ה did , ‘ā·śāh וְהָיִ֣יתִי then I will be wə·hā·yî·ṯî עִמָּ֗ךְ with you . ‘im·māḵ וּבָנִ֨יתִי I will build ū·ḇā·nî·ṯî לְךָ֤ you lə·ḵā נֶאֱמָן֙ a lasting ne·’ĕ·mān בַֽיִת־ dynasty ḇa·yiṯ- כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר just as ka·’ă·šer בָּנִ֣יתִי I built bā·nî·ṯî לְדָוִ֔ד for David , lə·ḏā·wiḏ וְנָתַתִּ֥י and I will give wə·nā·ṯat·tî יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel yiś·rā·’êl לְךָ֖ to you lə·ḵā אֶת־ - . ’eṯ- 1 Kings 11:39 לְמַ֣עַן Because lə·ma·‘an זֹ֑את of this , zōṯ וַֽאעַנֶּ֛ה I will humble wa·‘an·neh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דָּוִ֖ד David’s dā·wiḏ זֶ֥רַע descendants — ze·ra‘ אַ֖ךְ but ’aḵ לֹ֥א not lō כָל־ forever ḵāl הַיָּמִֽים׃ס . . . . ’” hay·yā·mîm 1 Kings 11:40 שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה Solomon šə·lō·mōh וַיְבַקֵּ֥שׁ therefore sought way·ḇaq·qêš לְהָמִ֣ית to kill lə·hā·mîṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָרָבְעָ֑ם Jeroboam . yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām יָרָבְעָ֗ם But Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām וַיָּ֣קָם arose way·yā·qām וַיִּבְרַ֤ח and fled way·yiḇ·raḥ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ to Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim אֶל־ to ’el- שִׁישַׁ֣ק Shishak šî·šaq מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim בְמִצְרַ֖יִם where ḇə·miṣ·ra·yim וַיְהִ֥י he remained way·hî עַד־ until ‘aḏ- מ֥וֹת the death mō·wṯ שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ of Solomon . šə·lō·mōh 1 Kings 11:41 וְיֶ֨תֶר As for the rest wə·ye·ṯer דִּבְרֵ֧י of the acts diḇ·rê שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה of Solomon — šə·lō·mōh וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer
