הַבָּֽיִת׃פ of the temple . hab·bā·yiṯ 1 Kings 6:1 וַיְהִ֣י - way·hî וְאַרְבַּ֣ע In the four wə·’ar·ba‘ מֵא֣וֹת hundred mê·’ō·wṯ בִשְׁמוֹנִ֣ים and eightieth ḇiš·mō·w·nîm שָׁנָ֣ה year šā·nāh שָׁנָ֡ה šā·nāh בְּנֵֽי־ after the Israelites bə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl לְצֵ֣את had come lə·ṣêṯ מֵאֶֽרֶץ־ out of the land mê·’e·reṣ- מִצְרַיִם֩ of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim ה֚וּא - hū הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ in the month ha·ḥō·ḏeš זִ֗ו of Ziv , ziw הַשֵּׁנִ֔י the second haš·šê·nî בְּחֹ֣דֶשׁ month bə·ḥō·ḏeš הָרְבִיעִ֜ית of the fourth hā·rə·ḇî·‘îṯ בַּשָּׁנָ֨ה year baš·šā·nāh לִמְלֹ֥ךְ of [Solomon’s] reign lim·lōḵ עַל־ over ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה [he] šə·lō·mōh וַיִּ֥בֶן began to build way·yi·ḇen הַבַּ֖יִת the house hab·ba·yiṯ לַיהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh 1 Kings 6:2 וְהַבַּ֗יִת The house wə·hab·ba·yiṯ אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ שְׁלֹמֹה֙ Solomon šə·lō·mōh בָּנָ֜ה built bā·nāh לַֽיהוָ֔ה for YHWH Yah·weh שִׁשִּֽׁים־ [was] sixty šiš·šîm- אַמָּ֥ה cubits ’am·māh אָרְכּ֖וֹ long , ’ā·rə·kōw וְעֶשְׂרִ֤ים twenty [cubits] wə·‘eś·rîm רָחְבּ֑וֹ wide , rā·ḥə·bōw וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים and thirty ū·šə·lō·šîm אַמָּ֖ה cubits ’am·māh קוֹמָתֽוֹ׃ high . qō·w·mā·ṯōw 1 Kings 6:3 וְהָאוּלָ֗ם The portico wə·hā·’ū·lām עַל־ at ‘al- פְּנֵי֙ the front pə·nê הֵיכַ֣ל of the main hall hê·ḵal הַבַּ֔יִת of the temple hab·ba·yiṯ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים [was] twenty ‘eś·rîm אַמָּה֙ cubits ’am·māh אָרְכּ֔וֹ long , ’ā·rə·kōw עַל־ extending across ‘al- פְּנֵ֖י . . . pə·nê רֹ֣חַב the width rō·ḥaḇ הַבָּ֑יִת of the temple hab·bā·yiṯ רָחְבּ֖וֹ and projecting out rā·ḥə·bōw עֶ֧שֶׂר ten ‘e·śer בָּאַמָּ֛ה cubits bā·’am·māh עַל־ in ‘al- פְּנֵ֥י front pə·nê הַבָּֽיִת׃ of the temple . hab·bā·yiṯ 1 Kings 6:4 וַיַּ֣עַשׂ He also had way·ya·‘aś אֲטֻמִֽים׃ narrow ’ă·ṭu·mîm חַלּוֹנֵ֖י windows ḥal·lō·w·nê שְׁקֻפִ֥ים framed high šə·qu·p̄îm לַבָּ֔יִת in the temple . lab·bā·yiṯ 1 Kings 6:5 עַל־ Against ‘al- קִ֨יר the walls qîr הַבַּ֤יִת of the temple hab·ba·yiṯ לַֽהֵיכָ֖ל vvv la·hê·ḵāl וְלַדְּבִ֑יר and the inner sanctuary , wə·lad·də·ḇîr וַיִּבֶן֩ [Solomon] built way·yi·ḇen יָצוֹעַ a chambered structure yå̄·ṣō·aʿ סָבִ֔יב around sā·ḇîḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- קִיר֤וֹת - qî·rō·wṯ הַבַּ֙יִת֙ the temple , hab·ba·yiṯ סָבִ֔יב in which sā·ḇîḇ וַיַּ֥עַשׂ he constructed way·ya·‘aś צְלָע֖וֹת the side rooms ṣə·lā·‘ō·wṯ סָבִֽיב׃ - . sā·ḇîḇ 1 Kings 6:6 הַתַּחְתֹּנָ֜ה The bottom hat·taḥ·tō·nāh הַיָּצוֹעַ floor [was] hay·yå̄·ṣō·aʿ חָמֵ֧שׁ five ḥā·mêš בָּאַמָּ֣ה cubits bā·’am·māh
