לִ֤י to me lî אִם־ not ’im- יָמִ֥ית to put yā·mîṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַבְדּ֖וֹ his servant ‘aḇ·dōw בֶּחָֽרֶב׃ to the sword . ’” be·ḥā·reḇ 1 Kings 1:52 שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה And Solomon šə·lō·mōh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר replied , way·yō·mer אִ֚ם “ If ’im יִהְיֶ֣ה he is yih·yeh לְבֶן־ a man lə·ḇen- חַ֔יִל of character , ḥa·yil לֹֽא־ not lō- מִשַּׂעֲרָת֖וֹ a single hair of his miś·śa·‘ă·rā·ṯōw יִפֹּ֥ל will fall yip·pōl אָ֑רְצָה to the ground . ’ā·rə·ṣāh וְאִם־ But if wə·’im- רָעָ֥ה evil rā·‘āh תִמָּצֵא־ is found ṯim·mā·ṣê- ב֖וֹ in him , ḇōw וָמֵֽת׃ he will die . ” wā·mêṯ 1 Kings 1:53 הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ So King ham·me·leḵ שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה Solomon šə·lō·mōh וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח summoned [Adonijah] way·yiš·laḥ וַיֹּרִדֻ֙הוּ֙ down way·yō·ri·ḏu·hū מֵעַ֣ל from mê·‘al הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ the altar , ham·miz·bê·aḥ וַיָּבֹ֕א and he came way·yā·ḇō וַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ and bowed down way·yiš·ta·ḥū לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ before King lam·me·leḵ שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה Solomon , šə·lō·mōh שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה [who] šə·lō·mōh וַיֹּֽאמֶר־ said way·yō·mer- ל֥וֹ to him , lōw לֵ֥ךְ “ Go lêḵ לְבֵיתֶֽךָ׃פ to your home . ” lə·ḇê·ṯe·ḵā 1 Kings 2:1 יְמֵֽי־ As the time yə·mê- וַיִּקְרְב֥וּ drew near way·yiq·rə·ḇū דָוִ֖ד for David ḏā·wiḏ לָמ֑וּת to die , lā·mūṯ וַיְצַ֛ו he charged way·ṣaw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְנ֖וֹ his son ḇə·nōw לֵאמֹֽר׃ . . . lê·mōr שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה Solomon , šə·lō·mōh 1 Kings 2:2 אָנֹכִ֣י “ I ’ā·nō·ḵî הֹלֵ֔ךְ am about to go hō·lêḵ בְּדֶ֖רֶךְ the way bə·ḏe·reḵ כָּל־ of all kāl- הָאָ֑רֶץ the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ וְחָזַקְתָּ֖ So be strong wə·ḥā·zaq·tā וְהָיִ֥יתָֽ and prove yourself wə·hā·yî·ṯā לְאִֽישׁ׃ a man . lə·’îš 1 Kings 2:3 וְשָׁמַרְתָּ֞ And keep wə·šā·mar·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת׀ the charge miš·me·reṯ יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā לָלֶ֤כֶת to walk lā·le·ḵeṯ בִּדְרָכָיו֙ in His ways biḏ·rā·ḵāw לִשְׁמֹ֨ר and to keep liš·mōr חֻקֹּתָ֤יו His statutes , ḥuq·qō·ṯāw מִצְוֺתָיו֙ commandments , miṣ·wō·ṯāw וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֣יו ordinances , ū·miš·pā·ṭāw וְעֵדְוֺתָ֔יו and decrees , wə·‘ê·ḏə·wō·ṯāw כַּכָּת֖וּב as is written kak·kā·ṯūḇ בְּתוֹרַ֣ת in the Law bə·ṯō·w·raṯ מֹשֶׁ֑ה of Moses , mō·šeh לְמַ֣עַן so that lə·ma·‘an תַּשְׂכִּ֗יל you may prosper taś·kîl אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ in all kāl- תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה you do ta·‘ă·śeh וְאֵ֛ת - wə·’êṯ כָּל־ and wherever kāl- אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer תִּפְנֶ֖ה you turn , tip̄·neh שָֽׁם׃ . . . šām 1 Kings 2:4 לְמַעַן֩ and so that lə·ma·‘an יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
