הַיָּמִֽים׃ day . hay·yā·mîm 2 Samuel 13:38 וְאַבְשָׁל֥וֹם After Absalom wə·’aḇ·šā·lō·wm בָּרַ֖ח had fled bā·raḥ וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ and gone way·yê·leḵ גְּשׁ֑וּר to Geshur , gə·šūr וַיְהִי־ he stayed way·hî- שָׁ֖ם there šām שָׁלֹ֥שׁ three šā·lōš שָׁנִֽים׃ years . šā·nîm 2 Samuel 13:39 הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ And King ham·me·leḵ דָּוִ֣ד David dā·wiḏ וַתְּכַל֙ longed wat·tə·ḵal לָצֵ֖את to go lā·ṣêṯ אֶל־ to ’el- אַבְשָׁל֑וֹם Absalom , ’aḇ·šā·lō·wm כִּֽי־ for kî- נִחַ֥ם he had been consoled ni·ḥam עַל־ over ‘al- אַמְנ֖וֹן Amnon’s ’am·nō·wn כִּֽי־ . . . kî- מֵֽת׃ס death . mêṯ 2 Samuel 14:1 יוֹאָ֣ב Now Joab yō·w·’āḇ בֶּן־ son ben- צְרֻיָ֑ה of Zeruiah ṣə·ru·yāh וַיֵּ֖דַע perceived way·yê·ḏa‘ כִּֽי־ that kî- הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ the king’s ham·me·leḵ לֵ֥ב heart lêḇ עַל־ longed for ‘al- אַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ Absalom . ’aḇ·šā·lō·wm 2 Samuel 14:2 יוֹאָב֙ So Joab yō·w·’āḇ וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח sent way·yiš·laḥ תְּק֔וֹעָה to Tekoa tə·qō·w·‘āh וַיִּקַּ֥ח to bring way·yiq·qaḥ חֲכָמָ֑ה a wise ḥă·ḵā·māh אִשָּׁ֣ה woman ’iš·šāh מִשָּׁ֖ם from there . miš·šām וַיֹּ֣אמֶר He told her , way·yō·mer אֵ֠לֶיהָ . . . ’ê·le·hā נָ֞א “ Please nā הִֽתְאַבְּלִי־ pretend to be a mourner ; hiṯ·’ab·bə·lî- וְלִבְשִׁי־ put on wə·liḇ·šî- נָ֣א . . . nā בִגְדֵי־ clothes ḇiḡ·ḏê- אֵ֗בֶל for mourning ’ê·ḇel וְאַל־ and do not wə·’al- תָּס֙וּכִי֙ anoint yourself tā·sū·ḵî שֶׁ֔מֶן with oil . še·men וְהָיִ֕ית Act wə·hā·yîṯ כְּאִשָּׁ֗ה like a woman kə·’iš·šāh זֶ֚ה . . . zeh מִתְאַבֶּ֖לֶת who has mourned miṯ·’ab·be·leṯ עַל־ for ‘al- מֵֽת׃ the dead mêṯ רַבִּ֔ים a long rab·bîm יָמִ֣ים time . yā·mîm 2 Samuel 14:3 וּבָאת֙ Then go ū·ḇāṯ אֶל־ to ’el- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ וְדִבַּ֥רְתְּ and speak wə·ḏib·bart הַזֶּ֑ה these haz·zeh כַּדָּבָ֣ר words kad·dā·ḇār אֵלָ֖יו to him . ” ’ê·lāw יוֹאָ֛ב And Joab yō·w·’āḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיָּ֧שֶׂם put way·yā·śem הַדְּבָרִ֖ים the words had·də·ḇā·rîm בְּפִֽיהָ׃ in her mouth . bə·p̄î·hā 2 Samuel 14:4 וַ֠תֹּאמֶר wat·tō·mer הָאִשָּׁ֤ה When the woman hā·’iš·šāh הַתְּקֹעִית֙ from Tekoa hat·tə·qō·‘îṯ אֶל־ [went] to ’el- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king , ham·me·leḵ וַתִּפֹּ֧ל she fell wat·tip·pōl עַל־ vvv ‘al- אַפֶּ֛יהָ facedown ’ap·pe·hā אַ֖רְצָה . . . ’ar·ṣāh וַתִּשְׁתָּ֑חוּ in homage wat·tiš·tā·ḥū וַתֹּ֖אמֶר and said , wat·tō·mer הוֹשִׁ֥עָה “ Help me , hō·wō·ši·‘āh הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ס O king ! ” ham·me·leḵ
