וָֽאֶשְׁמַע֙ and did wā·’eš·ma‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דְּבָרֶ֔יךָ - də·ḇā·re·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֥ר as ’ă·šer דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ you told dib·bar·tā אֵלָֽי׃ me . ’ê·lāy 1 Samuel 28:22 וְעַתָּ֗ה Now wə·‘at·tāh נָ֤א please nā גַם־ . . . ḡam- אַתָּה֙ . . . ’at·tāh בְּק֣וֹל . . . bə·qō·wl שְׁמַֽע־ listen šə·ma‘- שִׁפְחָתֶ֔ךָ to your servant šip̄·ḥā·ṯe·ḵā וְאָשִׂ֧מָה and let me set wə·’ā·śi·māh פַּת־ a morsel paṯ- לֶ֖חֶם of bread le·ḥem לְפָנֶ֛יךָ before you lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וֶאֱכ֑וֹל so you may eat we·’ĕ·ḵō·wl וִיהִ֤י and have wî·hî בְךָ֙ - ḇə·ḵā כֹּ֔חַ the strength kō·aḥ כִּ֥י to kî תֵלֵ֖ךְ go ṯê·lêḵ בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ on your way .” bad·dā·reḵ 1 Samuel 28:23 וַיְמָאֵ֗ן Saul refused , way·mā·’ên וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ saying , way·yō·mer לֹ֣א “ I will not lō אֹכַ֔ל eat . ” ’ō·ḵal עֲבָדָיו֙ But his servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וְגַם־ joined wə·ḡam- הָ֣אִשָּׁ֔ה the woman hā·’iš·šāh וַיִּפְרְצוּ־ in urging way·yip̄·rə·ṣū- ב֤וֹ him , ḇōw וַיִּשְׁמַ֖ע and he heeded way·yiš·ma‘ לְקֹלָ֑ם their voice . lə·qō·lām וַיָּ֙קָם֙ He got up way·yā·qām מֵֽהָאָ֔רֶץ from the ground mê·hā·’ā·reṣ וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב and sat way·yê·šeḇ אֶל־ on ’el- הַמִּטָּֽה׃ the bed . ham·miṭ·ṭāh 1 Samuel 28:24 וְלָאִשָּׁ֤ה The woman wə·lā·’iš·šāh מַרְבֵּק֙ had a fattened mar·bêq עֵֽגֶל־ calf ‘ê·ḡel- בַּבַּ֔יִת at her house , bab·ba·yiṯ וַתְּמַהֵ֖ר and she quickly wat·tə·ma·hêr וַתִּזְבָּחֵ֑הוּ slaughtered it . wat·tiz·bā·ḥê·hū וַתִּקַּח־ She also took wat·tiq·qaḥ- קֶ֣מַח flour , qe·maḥ וַתָּ֔לָשׁ kneaded it , wat·tā·lāš וַתֹּפֵ֖הוּ and baked wat·tō·p̄ê·hū מַצּֽוֹת׃ unleavened bread . maṣ·ṣō·wṯ 1 Samuel 28:25 וַתַּגֵּ֧שׁ She served wat·tag·gêš לִפְנֵֽי־ it to lip̄·nê- שָׁא֛וּל Saul šā·’ūl וְלִפְנֵ֥י . . . wə·lip̄·nê עֲבָדָ֖יו and his servants , ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וַיֹּאכֵ֑לוּ and they ate . way·yō·ḵê·lū הַהֽוּא׃פ And that ha·hū בַּלַּ֥יְלָה night bal·lay·lāh וַיָּקֻ֥מוּ they got up way·yā·qu·mū וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ and left . way·yê·lə·ḵū 1 Samuel 29:1 פְלִשְׁתִּ֛ים Now the Philistines p̄ə·liš·tîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ brought all kāl- מַחֲנֵיהֶ֖ם their forces ma·ḥă·nê·hem וַיִּקְבְּצ֧וּ together way·yiq·bə·ṣū אֲפֵ֑קָה at Aphek , ’ă·p̄ê·qāh וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל while Israel wə·yiś·rā·’êl חֹנִ֔ים camped ḥō·nîm בַּעַ֖יִן by the spring ba·‘a·yin אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בְּיִזְרְעֶֽאל׃ in Jezreel . bə·yiz·rə·‘el 1 Samuel 29:2 פְלִשְׁתִּים֙ As the Philistine p̄ə·liš·tîm וְסַרְנֵ֤י leaders wə·sar·nê עֹֽבְרִ֔ים marched out ‘ō·ḇə·rîm לְמֵא֖וֹת their units of hundreds lə·mê·’ō·wṯ וְלַאֲלָפִ֑ים and thousands , wə·la·’ă·lā·p̄îm וְדָוִ֣ד David wə·ḏā·wiḏ וַאֲנָשָׁ֗יו and his men wa·’ă·nā·šāw עֹֽבְרִ֛ים marched ‘ō·ḇə·rîm בָּאַחֲרֹנָ֖ה behind them bā·’a·ḥă·rō·nāh עִם־ with ‘im-
