בְּיָדִ֑י through me : bə·yā·ḏî יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּקְרַ֨ע has torn way·yiq·ra‘ הַמַּמְלָכָה֙ the kingship ham·mam·lā·ḵāh מִיָּדֶ֔ךָ out of your hand mî·yā·ḏe·ḵā וַֽיִּתְּנָ֖הּ and given it way·yit·tə·nāh לְרֵעֲךָ֥ to your neighbor lə·rê·‘ă·ḵā לְדָוִֽד׃ David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ 1 Samuel 28:18 כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר Because ka·’ă·šer לֹֽא־ you did not lō- שָׁמַ֙עְתָּ֙ obey šā·ma‘·tā בְּק֣וֹל . . . bə·qō·wl יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh וְלֹֽא־ [or] wə·lō- עָשִׂ֥יתָ carry out ‘ā·śî·ṯā חֲרוֹן־ His burning ḥă·rō·wn- אַפּ֖וֹ anger ’ap·pōw בַּעֲמָלֵ֑ק against Amalek , ba·‘ă·mā·lêq עַל־ - ‘al- כֵּן֙ - kên הַדָּבָ֣ר . . . had·dā·ḇār יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh עָשָֽׂה־ has done ‘ā·śāh- הַזֶּ֔ה this haz·zeh לְךָ֥ to you lə·ḵā הַיּ֥וֹם today hay·yō·wm הַזֶּֽה׃ . . . . haz·zeh 1 Samuel 28:19 גַּ֣ם Moreover , gam יְ֠הוָה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְיִתֵּ֣ן will deliver wə·yit·tên יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl עִמְּךָ֙ with you ‘im·mə·ḵā בְּיַד־ into the hand bə·yaḏ- פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים of the Philistines , pə·liš·tîm וּמָחָ֕ר and tomorrow ū·mā·ḥār אַתָּ֥ה you ’at·tāh וּבָנֶ֖יךָ and your sons ū·ḇā·ne·ḵā עִמִּ֑י will be with me . ‘im·mî גַּ֚ם And gam אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh יִתֵּ֥ן will deliver yit·tên מַחֲנֵ֣ה the army ma·ḥă·nêh יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl בְּיַד־ into the hand bə·yaḏ- פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ of the Philistines .” pə·liš·tîm 1 Samuel 28:20 וַיְמַהֵ֣ר Immediately way·ma·hêr שָׁא֗וּל Saul šā·’ūl וַיִּפֹּ֤ל fell way·yip·pōl מְלֹא־ flat mə·lō- קֽוֹמָתוֹ֙ . . . qō·w·mā·ṯōw אַ֔רְצָה on the ground , ’ar·ṣāh וַיִּרָ֥א terrified way·yi·rā מְאֹ֖ד . . . mə·’ōḏ מִדִּבְרֵ֣י by the words mid·diḇ·rê שְׁמוּאֵ֑ל of Samuel . šə·mū·’êl גַּם־ And gam- כֹּ֙חַ֙ his strength kō·aḥ ב֔וֹ . . . ḇōw הָ֣יָה was hā·yāh לֹא־ gone , lō- כִּ֣י because kî לֹ֤א he had not lō אָכַל֙ eaten ’ā·ḵal לֶ֔חֶם anything le·ḥem כָּל־ all that kāl- הַיּ֖וֹם day hay·yō·wm וְכָל־ and wə·ḵāl הַלָּֽיְלָה׃ night . hal·lā·yə·lāh 1 Samuel 28:21 הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ When the woman hā·’iš·šāh וַתָּב֤וֹא came wat·tā·ḇō·w אֶל־ to ’el- שָׁא֔וּל Saul šā·’ūl וַתֵּ֖רֶא and saw wat·tê·re כִּי־ how kî- נִבְהַ֣ל distraught he was niḇ·hal מְאֹ֑ד . . . , mə·’ōḏ וַתֹּ֣אמֶר she said wat·tō·mer אֵלָ֗יו to him , ’ê·lāw הִנֵּ֨ה “ Look , hin·nêh שִׁפְחָֽתְךָ֙ your maidservant šip̄·ḥā·ṯə·ḵā שָׁמְעָ֤ה has obeyed šā·mə·‘āh בְּקוֹלֶ֔ךָ your voice . bə·qō·w·le·ḵā וָאָשִׂ֤ים I took wā·’ā·śîm נַפְשִׁי֙ my life nap̄·šî בְּכַפִּ֔י in my hands bə·ḵap·pî
