כָּל־ of everything else . kāl- וְלֹ֥א vvv wə·lō אָב֖וּ They were unwilling ’ā·ḇū הַחֲרִימָ֑ם to destroy them , ha·ḥă·rî·mām הֶחֱרִֽימוּ׃פ but they devoted to destruction he·ḥĕ·rî·mū וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl הַמְּלָאכָ֛ה vvv ham·mə·lā·ḵāh נְמִבְזָ֥ה that was despised nə·miḇ·zāh וְנָמֵ֖ס and worthless wə·nā·mês אֹתָ֥הּ - . ’ō·ṯāh 1 Samuel 15:10 דְּבַר־ Then the word də·ḇar- יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַֽיְהִי֙ came way·hî אֶל־ to ’el- שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל Samuel , šə·mū·’êl לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr 1 Samuel 15:11 נִחַ֗מְתִּי “ I regret ni·ḥam·tî כִּֽי־ that kî- שָׁאוּל֙ I have made Saul šā·’ūl הִמְלַ֤כְתִּי king him·laḵ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לְמֶ֔לֶךְ - , lə·me·leḵ כִּֽי־ for kî- שָׁב֙ he has turned away šāḇ מֵאַֽחֲרַ֔י from following Me mê·’a·ḥă·ray וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- לֹ֣א has not lō הֵקִ֑ים carried out hê·qîm דְּבָרַ֖י My instructions .” də·ḇā·ray לִשְׁמוּאֵ֔ל And Samuel liš·mū·’êl וַיִּ֙חַר֙ was distressed way·yi·ḥar וַיִּזְעַ֥ק and cried out way·yiz·‘aq אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh כָּל־ all kāl- הַלָּֽיְלָה׃ that night . hal·lā·yə·lāh 1 Samuel 15:12 בַּבֹּ֑קֶר Early in the morning bab·bō·qer שְׁמוּאֵ֛ל Samuel šə·mū·’êl וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֧ם got up way·yaš·kêm לִקְרַ֥את to confront liq·raṯ שָׁא֖וּל Saul , šā·’ūl וַיֻּגַּ֨ד but [he] was told way·yug·gaḏ לִשְׁמוּאֵ֜ל . . . , liš·mū·’êl לֵאמֹ֗ר . . . lê·mōr שָׁא֤וּל “ Saul šā·’ūl בָּֽא־ has gone bā- הַכַּרְמֶ֙לָה֙ to Carmel , hak·kar·me·lāh וְהִנֵּ֨ה and behold , wə·hin·nêh מַצִּ֥יב he has set up maṣ·ṣîḇ יָ֔ד a monument yāḏ לוֹ֙ for himself lōw וַיִּסֹּב֙ and has turned way·yis·sōḇ וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֔ר . . . way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr וַיֵּ֖רֶד and gone down way·yê·reḏ הַגִּלְגָּֽל׃ to Gilgal .” hag·gil·gāl 1 Samuel 15:13 שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל When Samuel šə·mū·’êl וַיָּבֹ֥א reached way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ . . . ’el- שָׁא֑וּל him , šā·’ūl שָׁא֗וּל Saul šā·’ūl וַיֹּ֧אמֶר said way·yō·mer ל֣וֹ to him , lōw לַֽיהוָ֔ה “ May YHWH Yah·weh בָּר֤וּךְ bless bā·rūḵ אַתָּה֙ you . ’at·tāh הֲקִימֹ֖תִי I have carried out hă·qî·mō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH’s Yah·weh דְּבַ֥ר instructions .” də·ḇar 1 Samuel 15:14 שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל But Samuel šə·mū·’êl וַיֹּ֣אמֶר replied , way·yō·mer וּמֶ֛ה “ Then what ū·meh הַזֶּ֖ה [is] this haz·zeh בְּאָזְנָ֑י - bə·’ā·zə·nāy קֽוֹל־ bleating qō·wl- הַצֹּ֥אן of sheep haṣ·ṣōn וְק֣וֹל and lowing wə·qō·wl הַבָּקָ֔ר of cattle hab·bā·qār אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֖י I ’ā·nō·ḵî שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃ hear ?” šō·mê·a‘ 1 Samuel 15:15 שָׁא֜וּל Saul šā·’ūl
