Ruth 2:17 וַתְּלַקֵּ֥ט So Ruth gathered grain wat·tə·laq·qêṭ בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה in the field baś·śā·ḏeh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- הָעָ֑רֶב evening . hā·‘ā·reḇ וַתַּחְבֹּט֙ And when she beat out wat·taḥ·bōṭ אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- לִקֵּ֔טָה she had gleaned , liq·qê·ṭāh וַיְהִ֖י it was way·hî כְּאֵיפָ֥ה about an ephah kə·’ê·p̄āh שְׂעֹרִֽים׃ of barley . śə·‘ō·rîm Ruth 2:18 וַתִּשָּׂא֙ She picked up the grain wat·tiś·śā וַתָּב֣וֹא and went into wat·tā·ḇō·w הָעִ֔יר the town , hā·‘îr חֲמוֹתָ֖הּ where her mother-in-law ḥă·mō·w·ṯāh אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ וַתֵּ֥רֶא saw wat·tê·re אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- לִקֵּ֑טָה she had gleaned . liq·qê·ṭāh וַתּוֹצֵא֙ And she brought out wat·tō·w·ṣê אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- הוֹתִ֖רָה she had saved hō·w·ṯi·rāh מִשָּׂבְעָֽהּ׃ from her meal miś·śā·ḇə·‘āh וַתִּתֶּן־ and gave it wat·tit·ten- לָ֔הּ to [Naomi] lāh אֵ֥ת - . ’êṯ Ruth 2:19 חֲמוֹתָ֜הּ Then her mother-in-law ḥă·mō·w·ṯāh וַתֹּאמֶר֩ asked wat·tō·mer לָ֨הּ her , lāh אֵיפֹ֨ה “ Where ’ê·p̄ōh לִקַּ֤טְתְּ did you glean liq·qaṭt הַיּוֹם֙ today , hay·yō·wm וְאָ֣נָה and where wə·’ā·nāh עָשִׂ֔ית did you work ? ‘ā·śîṯ בָּר֑וּךְ Blessed bā·rūḵ יְהִ֥י be [the man] yə·hî מַכִּירֵ֖ךְ who noticed you . ” mak·kî·rêḵ וַתַּגֵּ֣ד So she told wat·tag·gêḏ לַחֲמוֹתָ֗הּ her mother-in-law la·ḥă·mō·w·ṯāh אֵ֤ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ where ’ă·šer- עָשְׂתָה֙ she had worked ‘ā·śə·ṯāh עִמּ֔וֹ - . ‘im·mōw שֵׁ֤ם “ The name šêm הָאִישׁ֙ of the man hā·’îš אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer עָשִׂ֧יתִי I worked ‘ā·śî·ṯî עִמּ֛וֹ with ‘im·mōw הַיּ֖וֹם today hay·yō·wm בֹּֽעַז׃ is Boaz , ” bō·‘az וַתֹּ֗אמֶר she said . wat·tō·mer Ruth 2:20 נָעֳמִ֜י Then Naomi nā·‘o·mî וַתֹּ֨אמֶר said wat·tō·mer לְכַלָּתָ֗הּ to her daughter-in-law , lə·ḵal·lā·ṯāh הוּא֙ “ May he hū בָּר֥וּךְ be blessed bā·rūḵ לַיהוָ֔ה by YHWH , Yah·weh אֲשֶׁר֙ who ’ă·šer לֹא־ has not lō- עָזַ֣ב withdrawn ‘ā·zaḇ חַסְדּ֔וֹ His kindness ḥas·dōw אֶת־ from ’eṯ- הַחַיִּ֖ים the living ha·ḥay·yîm וְאֶת־ . . . wə·’eṯ- הַמֵּתִ֑ים or the dead . ” ham·mê·ṯîm נָעֳמִ֗י Naomi nā·‘o·mî וַתֹּ֧אמֶר continued wat·tō·mer לָ֣הּ , lāh הָאִ֔ישׁ “ The man hā·’îš קָר֥וֹב is a close relative . qā·rō·wḇ הֽוּא׃ He hū לָ֙נוּ֙ [is] one of our lā·nū מִֽגֹּאֲלֵ֖נוּ kinsman-redeemers . ” mig·gō·’ă·lê·nū Ruth 2:21 ר֣וּת Then Ruth rūṯ הַמּוֹאֲבִיָּ֑ה the Moabitess ham·mō·w·’ă·ḇî·yāh וַתֹּ֖אמֶר said , wat·tō·mer גַּ֣ם׀ “ He also gam כִּי־ . . . kî- אָמַ֣ר told me , ’ā·mar אֵלַ֗י . . . ’ê·lay תִּדְבָּקִ֔ין ‘ Stay tiḏ·bā·qîn עִם־ with ‘im- הַנְּעָרִ֤ים my young men han·nə·‘ā·rîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- לִי֙ - lî עַ֣ד until ‘aḏ אִם־ . . . ’im- כִּלּ֔וּ they have finished gathering kil·lū
