Judges 13:17 מָנ֛וֹחַ Then Manoah mā·nō·w·aḥ וַיֹּ֧אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מַלְאַ֥ךְ the angel mal·’aḵ יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH , Yah·weh מִ֣י “ What mî שְׁמֶ֑ךָ is your name , šə·me·ḵā כִּֽי־ so that kî- וְכִבַּדְנֽוּךָ׃ we may honor you wə·ḵib·baḏ·nū·ḵā דִבְרֶיךָ when your word ḏiḇ·rɛ·ḵå̄ יָבֹ֥א comes to pass ? ” yā·ḇō Judges 13:18 לָ֥מָּה “ Why lām·māh זֶּ֖ה . . . zeh תִּשְׁאַ֣ל do you ask tiš·’al לִשְׁמִ֑י my name , ” liš·mî וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer מַלְאַ֣ךְ the angel mal·’aḵ יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh לּוֹ֙ - , lō וְהוּא־ “ since it wə·hū- פֶ֛לִאי׃ס is beyond comprehension ? ” p̄ɛ·li Judges 13:19 מָנ֜וֹחַ Then Manoah mā·nō·w·aḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּקַּ֨ח took way·yiq·qaḥ גְּדִ֤י a young goat gə·ḏî הָעִזִּים֙ . . . hā·‘iz·zîm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַמִּנְחָ֔ה and a grain offering ham·min·ḥāh וַיַּ֥עַל and offered them way·ya·‘al עַל־ on ‘al- הַצּ֖וּר a rock haṣ·ṣūr לַֽיהוָ֑ה to YHWH . Yah·weh וּמָנ֥וֹחַ And as Manoah ū·mā·nō·w·aḥ וְאִשְׁתּ֖וֹ and his wife wə·’iš·tōw רֹאִֽים׃ looked on , rō·’îm לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת YHWH did la·‘ă·śō·wṯ וּמַפְלִ֣א a marvelous thing . ū·map̄·li Judges 13:20 וַיְהִי֩ - way·hî הַלַּ֜הַב When the flame hal·la·haḇ בַעֲל֨וֹת went up ḇa·‘ă·lō·wṯ מֵעַ֤ל from mê·‘al הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ the altar ham·miz·bê·aḥ הַשָּׁמַ֔יְמָה to the sky , haš·šā·may·māh מַלְאַךְ־ the angel mal·’aḵ- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיַּ֥עַל ascended way·ya·‘al הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ in the ham·miz·bê·aḥ בְּלַ֣הַב flame . bə·la·haḇ וּמָנ֤וֹחַ When Manoah ū·mā·nō·w·aḥ וְאִשְׁתּוֹ֙ and his wife wə·’iš·tōw רֹאִ֔ים saw [this] , rō·’îm וַיִּפְּל֥וּ they fell way·yip·pə·lū עַל־ facedown ‘al- פְּנֵיהֶ֖ם . . . pə·nê·hem אָֽרְצָה׃ to the ground . ’ā·rə·ṣāh Judges 13:21 מַלְאַ֣ךְ And when the angel mal·’aḵ יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh וְלֹא־ did not wə·lō- לְהֵרָאֹ֖ה appear lə·hê·rā·’ōh יָ֤סַף again yā·sap̄ עוֹד֙ . . . ‘ō·wḏ אֶל־ to ’el- מָנ֣וֹחַ Manoah mā·nō·w·aḥ וְאֶל־ and wə·’el- אִשְׁתּ֑וֹ his wife , ’iš·tōw אָ֚ז - ’āz מָנ֔וֹחַ Manoah mā·nō·w·aḥ יָדַ֣ע realized yā·ḏa‘ כִּֽי־ that kî- הֽוּא׃ it [had been] hū מַלְאַ֥ךְ the angel mal·’aḵ יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH . Yah·weh Judges 13:22 מ֣וֹת “ We are going to die , ” mō·wṯ נָמ֑וּת . . . nā·mūṯ מָנ֛וֹחַ he mā·nō·w·aḥ וַיֹּ֧אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ his wife , ’iš·tōw כִּ֥י “ for kî רָאִֽינוּ׃ we have seen rā·’î·nū אֱלֹהִ֖ים God ! ” ’ĕ·lō·hîm Judges 13:23 אִשְׁתּ֗וֹ But his wife ’iš·tōw
