יְהוָ֗ה “ YHWH Yah·weh יִהְיֶ֤ה is yih·yeh שֹׁמֵ֙עַ֙ our witness šō·mê·a‘ בֵּֽינוֹתֵ֔ינוּ . . . bê·nō·w·ṯê·nū אִם־ if ’im- לֹ֥א we do not lō נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ do na·‘ă·śeh כִדְבָרְךָ֖ as you say . ” ḵiḏ·ḇā·rə·ḵā כֵּ֥ן . . . kên Judges 11:11 יִפְתָּח֙ So Jephthah yip̄·tāḥ וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ went way·yê·leḵ עִם־ with ‘im- זִקְנֵ֣י the elders ziq·nê גִלְעָ֔ד of Gilead , ḡil·‘āḏ הָעָ֥ם and the people hā·‘ām אוֹת֛וֹ - ’ō·w·ṯōw וַיָּשִׂ֨ימוּ made him way·yā·śî·mū עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם their ‘ă·lê·hem לְרֹ֣אשׁ leader lə·rōš וּלְקָצִ֑ין and commander . ū·lə·qā·ṣîn יִפְתָּ֧ח And Jephthah yip̄·tāḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר repeated way·ḏab·bêr כָּל־ all kāl- דְּבָרָ֛יו his terms də·ḇā·rāw לִפְנֵ֥י in the presence lip̄·nê יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh בַּמִּצְפָּֽה׃פ at Mizpah . bam·miṣ·pāh Judges 11:12 יִפְתָּח֙ Then Jephthah yip̄·tāḥ וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח sent way·yiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֔ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֥לֶךְ the king me·leḵ בְּנֵֽי־ of the Ammonites bə·nê- עַמּ֖וֹן . . . , ‘am·mō·wn לֵאמֹ֑ר saying , lê·mōr מַה־ “ What mah- לִּ֣י do you have against me lî וָלָ֔ךְ . . . wā·lāḵ כִּֽי־ that kî- בָ֥אתָ you have come ḇā·ṯā לְהִלָּחֵ֥ם to fight lə·hil·lā·ḥêm אֵלַ֖י against ’ê·lay בְּאַרְצִֽי׃ my land ? ” bə·’ar·ṣî Judges 11:13 מֶ֨לֶךְ The king me·leḵ בְּנֵי־ of the Ammonites bə·nê- עַמּ֜וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn וַיֹּאמֶר֩ answered way·yō·mer אֶל־ ’el- יִפְתָּ֗ח Jephthah’s yip̄·tāḥ כִּֽי־ . . . kî- מַלְאֲכֵ֣י messengers , mal·’ă·ḵê יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל “ When Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בַּעֲלוֹת֣וֹ came up ba·‘ă·lō·w·ṯōw מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם out of Egypt , mim·miṣ·ra·yim לָקַ֨ח they seized lā·qaḥ אַרְצִי֙ my land , ’ar·ṣî מֵאַרְנ֥וֹן from the Arnon mê·’ar·nō·wn וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- הַיַּבֹּ֖ק the Jabbok hay·yab·bōq וְעַד־ and all the way wə·‘aḏ- הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן to the Jordan . hay·yar·dên וְעַתָּ֕ה Now, therefore , wə·‘at·tāh הָשִׁ֥יבָה restore hā·šî·ḇāh אֶתְהֶ֖ן it ’eṯ·hen בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ peaceably . ” bə·šā·lō·wm Judges 11:14 יִפְתָּ֑ח Jephthah yip̄·tāḥ וַיּ֥וֹסֶף again way·yō·w·sep̄ ע֖וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ sent way·yiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֔ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֖לֶךְ the king me·leḵ בְּנֵ֥י of the Ammonites bə·nê עַמּֽוֹן׃ . . . ‘am·mō·wn Judges 11:15 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר to tell way·yō·mer ל֔וֹ him , lōw כֹּ֖ה “ This is what kōh יִפְתָּ֑ח Jephthah yip̄·tāḥ אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לֹֽא־ did not lō- לָקַ֤ח take away lā·qaḥ
